Player Name: CJ
Character Name: Wolfgang Von Verteidiger
Age: 58 (Mageians live to be 1000, so he’s pretty young, all things considered)
Race: Anthropomorphic Shira-Inu (domesticated Japanese breed of dog)
Place of Origin: Mageia
Job: Master Wizard
Alignment: Good
Description: A creature of short stature for his age, standing at 5”2’. Due to the large fluffy appearance of his face, and his like for baggy, wafting clothes, his actual build, that being rather slim and toned, but not overly muscular, commonly goes unnoticed. Usually dresses in, as aforementioned, baggy, wafting clothes, such as cloaks, capes or robes, all tending to look elegant in their design, usually sporting a color combo of blues, gold, and white.
Personality:
• Light German accent
• Flamboyant and dramatic
• Pacifist
• Adept defensive combatant
• Genuine, though doesn’t always appear as such
• Cunning and intelligent
• Voyeuristic and perverted
• Values close relationships with friends
• Uses his “cute” appearance to get close to women
• Uses a lot of hand gestures while talking
Equipment: A pendant and spellbook, both required for his higher level casting, and a crystal ball, which is used for Scrying.
Magic: Though a Master Wizard, Wolfgang has taken to several specific schools of magic and strengthened his ability in those areas over others. Being a man who dislikes direct conflicts, Wolfgang took to the defensive and utilitarian arts, mastering the Abjuration, Transmutation and Enchantment schools of magic. In his mastery of Abjuration and Enchantment spells, Wolfgang has created a defensive form of combat magic revolving around creating forcefields and imbuing them with magic effects that are passed onto any objects or persons that would make contact with/pass through the semi-translucent veils. Wolfgang has also taken a shine to Scrying, thought his original motivations for learning the art were a bit immoral, Wolfgang has, all the same, come to master the art, allowing him to view places, objects, or people with the proper magical item present, and the proper information.
Combat: Wolfgang is a pacifist at heart, but that doesn’t mean he is inept at combat, or fearful of a fight. Wolfgang’s main combat strategy is an attrition battle, using his defensive and enchantment magic to bolster his defenses and abilities, and his Transmutation magic to use the environment, or his imbued veils, to try and actively disable submit, or wear his opponent down over time. An effective combatant from middle to long range but suffers from issues with close quarters combat.
Flaws: Being a fairly big pervert, Wolfgang, at points, thinks with his pants instead of his head, causing him to do stupid things or get into bad situations that could’ve easily been avoided. Also, Wolfgang, in his love for the ladies, has a hard time bringing himself to do anything directly aggressive against women, including attacking them, so he’ll commonly resort to playing it straight defense, in hopes of wearing them out, as opposed to using any kind of offensive magic whatsoever.
History: Born into the family Verteidiger, a subordinate family of the Rokkakyu household known as the Family of Royal Defenders, Wolfgang took to his role at a young age and quickly began to learn the staple magic’s of his family and beyond. Aside from being a cunning little troublemaker at a young age, Wolfgang was a credit to his family, proving to be a clever boy and an adept mage, quickly making him distinguished within his academy.
As time went on though, Wolfgang started to question the natural sense of entitlement brought on by being birthed into titled families, and felt that his accomplishments were dominated by his last name rather then being a product of his own abilities and skill. Feeling that he needed to prove his ability more then ever, and not only that, but prove that class meant nothing in terms of what a person can accomplish, Wolfgang aimed to become the youngest mage ever to earn the title of Master Wizard.
All went well and good for a time, but eventually another wizard threatened Wolfgang’s goal; a mage of a much younger age by the name of Kaku Rokkakyu. Though stubborn and determined to achieve his goal, Wolfgang knew well enough that Kaku would achieve the title of “Youngest Master Wizard” before him and took to trying to out do the young wizard instead of obtaining the sought after title.
Within his effort and the consistent back and forth of being at the head of the class with Kaku, the two slowly developed a rivalry, but one that was quickly established as a friendly competitive rivalry, as opposed to one of derision and resent. Even after both graduated at the head of the class and obtained their ranks as Master Wizards, Wolfgang continued to be close friends with Kaku, and continues to build his abilities, in hope of still showing up his long time friend.
After some time apart, Wolfgang was hoping to visit Kaku again, but, by using his scrying, he found that his old friend had traveled to another world, prompting Wolfgang to open a portal and venture to this new land in search of his companion.
