–”Prelude”
...They say the Moon is the sole witness to planetary evolution, the unchanging orb whose eye records the many changes to our world...what things it must have seen, what stories it must know. However the most important story, is the story not even the Moon can tell...the story of Ketuluna, before it's great destruction. Ketuluna was a world, far removed from our own, and far more evolved, it once was a proud civilization. Just, and powerful...perhaps too powerful. Whatever they wanted...they took, whatever they worshiped, everyone else worshiped. It was peaceful...but under the tight grip from the eyes above. Perhaps this is what inspired several citizens to seek a place for their own, to worship what they wanted to worship, to have what they wanted to have.
So they defied the might eyes that watched them, they took ships and they left, they wanted a world of their own...
They had traveled a long time, to what it felt like ages...until finally, they found something. A world, already inhabited by other beings...but there was still enough room for a place to call their own. They couldn't land their shuttle on the land though...for it was too large to be not noticed, and too big to land without damaging the land. So, they constructed a sky hook of sorts...to shuttle their supplies and people without having to land their ship. They have finally found the freedom they wished for...however, the course of the journey changed some people. They didn't want to land on the new world, where the technology and people were far too inferior for them. They believed they should wipe the race out, and take the world for their own. Quarrels broke out, many wanted to exist peacefully with the people already on the planet...others wanted them wiped out.
In the end, one solution was made: the people who wanted to live on the new world peacefully got to. The others would remain on the their shuttle, and build a civilization of their own on it. No one knows what happened to the shuttle though, some say they wander the galaxies...others say they are still in orbit around their New World. Watching their kind create a Genesis for their species.
...and so is the history of Ketulanox. The history long forgotten.
But the past always returns to haunt us, no matter how we choose to erase it.

The quiet night sky was interrupted with a rumble of thunder, but the growl from above did not startle the young boy. Who was lying on his belly, watching small bugs move around in the grass. He smiled as he saw a bunch of them scatter around, doing who knows what small bugs do. He heard the thunder and instinctively ran a hand through his spiked blond hair, as if a raindrop would fall down and dampen the locks. No rain came, there was plenty of thunder and lightning though. He stood up, brushing flecks of grass of his white and black cross colored jacket. He was about to walk away when-
CRASH!
–"Roxa Sairen"
A bolt of lightning suddenly struck the ground, not far from where the boy was standing. He gave a yell and ducked to the ground, a second bolt struck with another crash and the bolt sent him flying backwards. His back hit the ground and he curled up as several more bolts struck and slammed the ground all around him, finally after one last kaboom the bolts stopped. The boy waited a bit until he was sure the bolts had stopped. He slowly got up and looked at the spot where the bolts had crashed, at first he saw nothing...then he saw people, a lot of people, beginning to gather. He didn't recognize them, and none of them looked friendly. He saw a tall knight, a man with a large hat, a beautiful long haired woman, but his eyes fell upon the person next the beautiful woman. Someone wearing a long black cloak, his face was obscured...for awhile. As he was talking to the others his hands lifted up to the hood and began to pull it back. Once he did though the young boy's vision suddenly went blurry, he couldn't see, he stumbled back in the woods as his head began to erupt in pain. He clutched his head as he tried to run, he could see things...a crystal, a giant city, several people arguing...yelling...fighting...dieing. It was just too much, he gave one short yell and fell back. His eyes drifted off and he slipped into unconsciousness...

“...I can feel the Crystals...calling for me.”
“Milady?”
“Juno. Can you sense them?”
“...Yes. But one is moving...”
“Moving? How?”
...The darkness of the outer edge of the forests of Crepusculum, a lone figure pumped his legs as he ran for his life. Clutching a bright crystal in his hand as a loud roar echoes in the night, alerting the figure he is anything but alone. He stops for a moment to listen to the roars around him, his eyes moving back and forth through the woods. Slowly reaching for his weapon as small beady eyes appear behind him, the eyes lower as through the shadows paws are revealed as they get low...as if to pounce. The figure's eyes dart to his side, lips curved into a smirk as...
The creature leaps! A wolf like monster colored bright blue and silver leaps out, teeth bared to bite down. The figure whirls around and a bright blast of blue energy rips through the air, the wolf falls down, eyes rolled back and fur singed. The figure looks down at the wolf and at his hand, which glowed bright blue until he clenched it in a fist.
“Hope that's all you have,” the figure muttered. “Cause I was lucky to even counter with that.”
He spoke too soon. As he turned around to walk on he came face to face with someone. A warrior wearing a helmet of black glass and several plates of black armor on his body. Before the figure could react the warrior kicked him to the ground, his blade drawn and pointing at him.

“That's all you have? Good. Sending the creature first was a good idea after all...” the warrior remarked, moving his blade closer. “Now...give me that crystal before the Ketulunians arrive, you may live. Or don't give it to me, I pry it from your hands, and leave you to deal with them now what's it going to be?”
The figure's face was concealed by the darkness of the night, his hands on the ground, panting hard from the tiredness and pain of the kick. After a few seconds the figure turned to face the warrior and smirked.
“I pick...option three.”
The warrior's head tilted a bit in confusion before the figure's hand raised up, fearing an attack the warrior leaped back...only to fall into the figure's trap. The figure had raised his hand...but only to slam it back down to the ground, once he did a bright blue circle appeared around the figure along with several sigils.
“An Undaian Protection symbol?” The warrior laughed. “I wasn't even aware people like you could even use magic...”
“Guess you learn new things everyday,” The figure he said, “But I have...a little amplifier to help this time.” he said, the crystal he was carrying was glowing alongside the sigil.
“Indeed...an amplifier towards your death.” the warrior said, pointing to the figure's face, which the side of his head began to trickle blood. “Your kind has limits, even with those crystals all you do is speed up your wounds. Sides...all I need to do is destroy your protection symbol and you're defenseless.”
Suddenly it was the figure's turn to laugh, “Be that as it may, you may wanna look at those symbols one more time. Cause the cross of the Undaian Holy sigil inside the Circle of Ahn doesn't mean protection.”
The warrior looked back down at the symbols and at the figure as the circle grew brighter, soon a flash of light ripped through the sky and the figure was gone. A circle of ashes remained where the sigil was, signaling that the teleportation spell had worked.

Eli...Eli Ventus...
“Huh...who's there?”
Eli Ventus...wake up.
“Huh?”
Wake up!
And wake up he did, Eli's eyes shot open and he sat up from his bed. Looking around for the voice that he heard in his sleep, yet in the darkness of his room there was no one. Not even his mother by the door, besides it couldn't have been her...the voice was a man's voice. He pushed the covers off him and rubbed his face.
“What a weird dream...” he said, stretching as if to go back to bed...when a speeding light outside caught his attention. He stopped and looked outside, the night sky was as usual a dark shade of purple. He turned his eyes to the direction of Nerezza, waited...and then saw it: another light shoot across the sky. Soon more followed, and the boy's eyes lightened with excitement.
“A meteor shower!” he laughed, leaping out of bed and to his closet. “I so got to see this for myself!”
He put on his usual clothes and charged down the steps, he could hear his mother waking up and yelling at him but he was moving like lightning out the door and on the streets. There was only one good spot in Naghtundtag to see meteor showers, it was out of the town gates and on the small hills. Eli ran out of the gates and towards the hills, as he got closer he released there were people already there. Three teenagers, one with spiked brown hair, the other with long flaxen hair and the teen on her right with short dark hair.
“Rus! Zark! Rina!” Eli called out, waving his hands at them. The three teens turned around and smiled as Eli ran up to them.
The blonde woman, Rina, tried to suppress a giggle with her hands. “I figured you'd be out here sooner or later.”
“I was betting he'd be out here before we would be,” Zark, the short dark haired boy said as Eli sat down next to them. “Looks like we beat you out here first.”
“Heh...” Rus, the brown haired boy smirked, continuing to look at the meteor shower above him.
“Yeah yeah whatever.” Eli said, leaning back to look at the stars as well.
The four friends sat their on the cliff's ledge, staring out on the stars. The twinkling lights that shimmered down from the skys danced across their eyes, amongst the silence of the night and the crisp cool air Rina spoke.
“Did you hear? Some of the Heroes are coming into town tomorrow.”
Zark and Rus began to launch into excitable conversation as Eli continued to stare at the stars, as he looked at the lights he felt something...a memory maybe, tug at the back of his head. An image danced in his brain, but it was so blurry he couldn't tell what it was...an outline of a person...and something similar to the night sky above him. But what was it?
“Hey! Eli!” Rina called out to him, smacking the back of his head.
“Ow, what was that for?” he asked, rubbing his head.
“To get your attention,” Rina smirked, “The Heroes are coming into town, well, some of them anyway.”
“Whoa! Really?!” Eli yelled, leaping from his spot. “I can't believe it! They're coming here...oh man I wonder who it is? Maybe it's that wolf guy Kouji? Or maybe Yeligar Maelstrom? Andy Jammer? I don't care I'll meet any of them!”
–“Eli Ventus”
Zark laughed, Rina giggled and Rus made a smirk. Eli's face showed an expression of confusion at their shared laughter.
“I forget how you act when it comes to the Heroes,” Rina confessed.
“How do you forget?” Rus spoke. “Especially since Eli's been fascinated with them ever since he heard of them.”
“How can anyone not be?” Eli said, picking up a stick and swinging it around. “Mighty Heroes take on the dastardly Sumata, all to protect the people all around the world.”
He then proceeded to swing his stick around like a sword, making little sound effects with each swipe he made. Rina couldn't keep her giggles in for too long while Rus and Zark just shook their heads. Eli continued to swing his weapon, fighting some pretend enemy in a glorious battle. Before the four friends knew it the shooting stars were gone. Eli noticed it when he saw everyone else getting up from their spots.

“Stars have come and gone...time to sleep.” Rus said, hands in his pockets as he walked off towards the town.
“Yeah mom's probably mad I left...” Eli sighed.
“Don't forget about tomorrow,” Rina reminded him with a smile, in which Eli nodded. His enthusiasm returning.
Like he's gonna get sleep NOW.
He swung his stick around a few more times, just to get in some more time to expend energy. Once he was finished he tossed the stick aside and turned around to walk away.
“Ughn!”
Eli stopped, turning in the direction of where his stick fell. Now unless trees suddenly started talking...he heard someone in those woods. He didn't know what to do at first before slowly etching closer to the small patch of trees. He pushed aside a branch and his eyes widened: there, on the ground, was a man. Bloodied, huddled up and groaning... his eyes fluttering, barely awake. Eli ran over to him and got on his knees.
–“Sunrise”
“Hey! Mister! Hey!” Eli called out, but the man wasn't awake enough to hear him. Eli raised his voice to a yell, so that someone could hear him. “Someone help! Anyone!”
He turned the body over to see the wounds and instead he saw something...something glowing, in his hand. The hand was slack enough so he could, gently, take whatever was in his hand out. The object was a crystal, long and pure white...it glittered and glowed in Eli's hands.
Eli stared deep in the crystal's light and saw the most beautiful lights and warmth emitting from the crystal's glow. He clutched the crystal tightly and scooped his arms under the wounded man's shoulders, helping him up and slowly moving back to Naghtundag, yelling for someone to help along the way.
