We've had this chat before, but it's been a long time since the first thread. We all have a better grasp of our characters and how they would sound now. So I am giving this another shot with all my, or the ones I can think of, characters. Andy Jammer would be voiced by... Micah Solusod Most notable role... Soul "Eater" Evans from Soul Eater Why? He has the tone I am looking for and some of you may be thinking "well why not Johnny Yong Bosch?" Here's why, Micah's voice has a deeper tone when speaking normally than Johnny does. I always imagined Andy having a deeper, cooler, tone when he talks. For Kevin Uruhane, I choose... Troy Baker Most Notable role... Snow Villers from FF13, Excalibur from Soul Eater, Frank Archer from the 1st FMA anime and the 2nd Greed in Brotherhood, Yuri Lowell from Tales of Vesperia, and Jin Kariya from Bleach. Why? Troy has a hero voice and he has proven he can play a dedicated husband/fiancee too. Kevin has always been the guardian character for the Heroes and Profeta, when Troy plays a hero he usually plays the Protector. It works. For Tidus it would be... James Arnold Taylor, Most notable role... Tidus from FFX, Obi Wan and Plo Kloon from Star Wars animations and games. Why? There is only ONE voice of Tidus, and one only, the extremely wonderfully talented James Arnold Taylor. For Jasmine Loque, since I took over her role, it would be... Laura Bailey Most notable roles... Lust from FMA, Reimi from Star Ocean 4, Maka from Soul Eater, Marta from Dawn of the New World, Serah from FF13. Why? I always imagined Jasmine Loque with a voice like Reimi, Serah, and Maka, not as mature or calm as Lust, but not as high pitched as Marta from Dawn of the New World. |

For Zelos Shinigami I choose... Steve Blum Most notable roles Vincent Valentine from FF7 series, Spike Seigel from Cowboy BeBop, Wolverine in several X-Men games and animations, Guilemon from Digimon Tamers. Why? I was tempted to pick Dan Woren, voice of Byakuya, but I opted for Steve Blum instead. There are two reasons, one: Blum's played villains before and when he does he sounds evil [see his role as Hobgoblin from Shattered Dimensions], I imagined an evil Zelos having a Vincent Valentine tone but more evil. Second, when he's a hero there's something about that voice that draws people into the character, he's got charisma when he speaks, you are naturally inclined to pay attention to the role he is in because of it. That's why I chose Steve Blum. |

((As a mod? I can copy other people's posts, 'cause i"m lazy. No hard feelings, plz?)) For Elexa, I would pick... Laura Bailey Most notable roles... Lust from FMA, Reimi from Star Ocean 4, Maka from Soul Eater, Marta from Dawn of the New World, Serah from FF13. Why? Well, to me, Elexa has the same sort of voice as Lust, kind of husky and brimming with mystery, intrigue, and sex appeal. Laura Bailey's voice really does that well, and since her voice is very wide and has a lot of range, I think she'd have no prolem making the characters of Elexa and Jasmine different. |

Ooooh this is a good one! Roxa - I'd have to use Josh Keaton  I like his sarcastic tone and his most notable work's are Major Ocelot from MGS 3, Ryu Hayabusa from the Ninja Gaiden series and Spiderman in some of the later Spiderman games. Gensayce - For Gensayce I just have to go for Terrence Stone!  He has a really good voice that shows strength and passion, his most notable works are as Zhao Yun in the Dynasty Warriors games and Minister Shabadaba in the third Naruto movie. Riliath - Like Gensayce would have to be voiced by his inspiration, this time Jamieson Price  He has a really aggressive powerful voice and is behind Lu Bu in the Dynasty Warriors games, Yasutora Sado in Bleach and the First Hokage in Naruto Brea Cao-Wei - I've always seen Brea having the same voice as Dave Wittenberg!  He has one of the calmest coolest voices I have ever heard with his most notable role being Kakashi Hatake in the Naruto series (I'm seeing a pattern here...) Akuma Shuen - Last but not least we have Akuma, Akuma was actually the only character I created completely originally (not being based off another character personality wise) who I had already decided what voice he should have. The answer STEVE BLUM! Another Naruto voice actor!  He has this really dark and evil voice that I really love, he voices Zabuza Momochi and Orochimaru but I'd more have him with that gravelly Zabuza tone over Orochimaru's oh, he also voiced Oghren from Dragon Age as well! He was going to voice Marcus Fenix in the Gears of War series but was in the end cut from the cast. But yeah, there's my choices ^_^ |

@roxa I recognize ALL your choices, and I totally don't mind you reusing Steve Blum since...well, he's good at switching his voice up and well, I fanboy a bit with Steve Blum.
JOSH KEATON! HE'S SO AWESOME! He could totally play Roxa with all his evil-ish mood swings and such.

Well that's why I chose him, he could voice a kinder side as well as a more aggressive side, I thought it better than using two voice actors for Roxa/Ave respectively. :')

Until I can get snazzy pictures, I suppose I"ll just post for now  First of all, Vash. I think I'll keep his original voice actor, Johnny Yong Bosch.Why? Well, I think his voice has a lot more range and potential than you'd think. Event hough my Vash is becoming more and more different from the original (except in their shared moments of rampant silly), JYB still is the person I hear whenever I listen to Vash's inner voice. For Kouji and Kouichi, I'll keep their original voice actors as well, at least until I find someone better for my versions of them. Those would be Steve Staley and Crispin Freeman respectively. Actually, my one regret is that I don't have any other characters to use Crispin Freeman for. His range is amazing Alright, next....... ummm..... Suisei Fukaku and Yuna Kaname would probably share Hedy Burgess until I could find someone else to play Suisei. Honestly, Suisei's new persona was inspired off of Lenne, just a tiny bit, and I love Hedy's voice. I'm sorry if that's not enough variety, but I don't think they'd ever really meet, anyway - either that, or thy'd be talking to each other a lot, and you'd have that kind of Yuna/Lenne dynamic (at least with voices). I could see it both ways. Alex of Santo-Luce, next. Alright, I lied. I want Crispin Freeman for Alex, too. (Kind of awkward for Alex, sharing VAs with a dark-element character, but...) His voice is just too perfect to express Alex's inner struggle. Despite the fact that almost all the other voices in the show make me want to gouge my ears out, Crispin Freeman's rendition of Zelgadiss in Slayers is kind of how I picture Alex's voice. He does the introspective, tortured almost-a-hero-but-can-I-really-be character quite well and like I said, that's who I want for Alex. Not that Alex doesn't know how to have a good time, but I think Crispin Freeman is up to the job. Now for Miri. She's been incredibly hard to cast in the past, but since I"ve watched DuRaRaRa!!, I know now who I'm going to pick. Strangely enough, though I believe Michelle Ruff has been discussed in the past, I'm going to pick Kari Wahlgren, at least for CR. Her very versatile voice has featured in many things, but the one I'm going for is the imagined voice of Celty Sturluson from the aforementioned show (hereafter abbreviated as DRRR!!). I'm not going to spoil anything, but let's just say that Celty is as outwardly mysterious and inwardly simple as I've always imagined CR!Miri to be. |

I am stumped on Yeligar, Celtik, and Ramirez,
For Trucido - D.C. Douglas (Worked as Albert Wesker from RE5)
Why: He had that calm voice that I could see Trucido having when he is in Archangel form. I might have a different actor for human Trucido, but until then, I will go with Mr. Douglas.
For Profeta - Mena Suvari (Voiced as Aerith from Advent Children)
Why: She has the mother caring voice that Profeta has, but it
For Night Warspawn *New last name, Speare*- Chris Sabot *Voice of Garland from Final Fantasy Dissidia*
Why: The bold yelling remarks, the arrogant attitude, it just fits perfectly with the former ruler of Chalybs who was known for his ruthlessness ruling.
For Xiza Tyrmond - Peter St. Paul*did Xemnas from KH2*
Why: 1. I didn't want to go with Kirk Thornton, because he voiced Saix, who I took the image from though I really like his voice. 2. He does a great emotionless voice.
For Volkmar Gamlxltoe- Travis Willingham *Voice Roy Mustang in Fullmetal Alchemist, Free from Soul eater*
Why: He can be pretty cruel sounding, and his rage voice is epic, am I right?
For Ludro "Ace" Gamblington- Quinton Flynn *voiced Henry Cooldown in No More Heroes*
Why: He can do a really good accent, and I always imaged him with an Irish or British Accent.
For Bartholomew- J. Michael Tatum (Voiced Jiroo from Black Blood Brothers, Scar from FMA)
Why: He has the killer, I don't give a crap about you, you are just a weed in my way JUST DIE! voice.
For Sonorc Optimus - John Swasey (Lord Death from Soul Eater)
Why: He has a cheerful voice and very non-threatening, just how a 1068 year old man that is surround by dangerous warriors is suppose to sound.
For Navarre - Jason Liebrecht (Voiced Hei from Darker than Black)
Why: He has the logical speaking voice which Navarre has most of the time, but he really needs an Australian accent, and I couldn't think any guys that had Australian accents.
For Amadeus DiZagin- Johnny Young Bosch (Voice Ichigo From Bleach)
Why: I picked him because he can sound irritated in a snap when someone, oh I don't know, interrupts his songs! That and he can sing which is a requirement for Amadeus.

I was just talking to Mark about this, and we decided on a voice actor for Kain Angelo. Jensen Ackles Most notable roles... Dean Winchester in Supernatural, Red Hood/Jason Todd in Batman Under the Red Hood, and Kyle Madigan in The 3rd Birthday. Why? One name: Red Hood. Watch it. Jensen delivers his lines with the same emotional intensity that I can see Kain Angelo delivering. I mean come on, go to the final thread, or even the first one, put on the Red Hood movie or even some clips of him and tell me you can't see his voice portraying the character. That being said, Jensen Ackles carries an emotional intensity that would be good for Kain. |

I got some more, this time for our new Lunar Arc characters. For Eli Ventus... Jesse McCartney Most Notable roles... Ventus and Roxas from the KH series, and now Robin in Young Justice. Why? Actually, this has nothing to do with the fact he voiced Ventus before. This has to do with tone. Jordan chose Josh Keaton for Roxa, Jesse and Josh have the same tone in their voice by Jesse sounds younger. Which is what I am looking for, someone similar but younger to Roxa. For Juno I choose... Monica Rial Most notable roles... Kiyoko in Black Cat, Tsubaki in Soul Eater, May Chang in FMA Brotherhood. Why? She has a very cute voice, Juno is cute. She's romantic and fluffy, she is the girl who loves True Love romances and Heroic Knights to save her, the Princess, who is locked inside the tower. Monica can do that and show emotion when the character is in distress as well. |
