....God.
I feel like I"m getting on the bandwagon so late.
My family's had Mass Efect forever, but I've never really gotten around to playing it. Now, I'm playing it obsessively, and :ALSDKF:ALSKF:SLDKF OMG IT IS SO FREAKING AMAZING.
The combat's really smooth, pretty easy on the easy difficulty, enough so that even a novice shooter-player like me can still get the hang of it. The multiple suad members, each with their own specialties, are all so interesting, all with unique personalities along with their skillsets. All the little side-missions you can find are neat, and the sci-fi universe is so amazing, I can't wait to see what's going to happen next or be uncovered! Heck, I"m just barely in the beginning of the game (Shepard just became a Spectre and is being sent off to chase Saren down) AND I AM SO GORRAM HOOKED IT ISN'T FUNNY.
I think the hardest part will be attempting to balance this with my slightly less-new obsession of Tales of Vesperia.
The races of Mass Effect are all unique in their own ways too. THERE ARE JUST NO WORDS TO DESCRIBE THE AWESOMENESS.
AND ME2 IS SUPPOSED TO BE EVEN BETTER HOW DOES THIS WORRRRKKKKKK?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!

I'm not going to lie, I do not like Mass Effect, don't ask why it just rubs me up the wrong way. Now don't get me wrong I will not slam the game in any way, I agree completely that it is a brilliant game, well made as well as near perfectly structured and the exploration (You'll get what I mean when you get to it) IS SUPERB.
But, I dislike shooter based RPG's with no exceptions, even Fallout 3 is in my bad books. I like good ol' fashioned medieval/fantasy RPG's.

Hey, that's cool ^^ I've got no problem with people stating their opinion, and to tell the truth, I used to feel the same way - but in my case, it was mostly because everyone I knew who liked shooters were jerks and I was horribly bad at the few I'd actually played.
What changed that for me was willingness to give Dirge of Cerberus a try... and I STILL suck at most shooters, LOL!

I love Mass Effect... that's until I played Mass Effect 2, which was damn near a perfect game. It was long (when comparing to say, Call of Duty), fast paced, epic soundtrack, epic story and STUNNING graphics.
Of course my new obsession is the new Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. I just can't stop thinking about that fact it has 50-100 hours of game play. WHEN IS THE LAST GAME THAT LASTED ME LONGER THAN A WEEK TO FINISH!?
The answer? I don't know, maybe Tales of Symphonia.
