Name: Rinna Varner (Madame Minerva)
Gender: Female
Country of Origin: U.S.A.
Occupation: Sorceress
Age: 19
Alignment: undecided (unaware of Allorum)
Personality: Rinna is a fairly nice person, though she is fairly odd in her insistent pursuit of magic in a magic-less world where her intellect could be put to much better use. She enjoys helping people and learning more, but is usually quiet… Although there are numerous incident where she starts running off at the mouth about a particular subject.
Equipment: Some runes and a worn tarot deck, as well as a glass amulet around her neck with a protective spell in it (that she is currently unaware that it works)
Weapons: (unaware of these powers yet) She can use magic, mainly defensive/white magic, although she can use attack/black magic. Typically needs prep for major spells but can do several small spells of defense without. Black spells require blood, though usually a small amount.
Combat: She has no formal training in combat and is not very strong, but she’s quick and can take a hit
Magic: Rinna grew up trying to learn everything she could about magic, so she has many spells memorized but only in theory. She has tried several spells that have seemed to have no effect so she does not know that she can really cast spells (hint, something needs to happen to her first, hint)
Flaws: Rinna is very smart. Almost too smart. It gets irritating sometimes. Which is why she learned to keep her mouth shut…. In most cases. Sometimes it gets her into trouble.
Background: Rinna was raised in New Orleans, city of the ‘undead’ and filled with ‘magic’. From a young age she showed a remarkable ability to learn and apply her knowledge, but for some reason enjoyed learning about magic instead of something ‘useful’ like medicine or law or something else that would have made her parents happy. She works one of the many ‘psychic’ booths on the streets as ‘Madame Minerva’; her personal nod to the Roman goddess of knowledge. Her knowledge of divination through tarot, runes, palm reading, astrology, mythology, and basically anything to do magic helps her to impress any who are stupid enough to ask. And though she loves her job selling amulets to tourists who are too stupid to use them, she feels like there’s something she’s not doing… Something she doesn’t know yet.
