Player: George
Name: Fillion "Fateseeker" Avalure
Description: Male, short, only about 5'4" tall and average in weight. Unkept medium length black hair and brown eyes. Clean shaven, though he'll change things up once in a while with a long beard if he forgets to shave. Handsome in a unrefined hippy-kind-of-way.
Age:32
Personality: Aloof and extroverted, Fillion's is most easily described as a carefree wanderer. He's the first to jump in to a situation, and is always eager for a chance to prove himself. While not much for idle chatter, he enjoys companionship and loves to work with others. The only time he'll take things seriously is either when he's on a job or when he believes he's pursuing his "true fate".
What defines Fillion most is an obsession he has with fate. While others would call it chance, happenstance or coincidence, Fillion believes everything is tied together and happens for a reason. He is egotistical and believes that fate has an amazing destiny in store for him. As such he gives himself completely over to this fate, and when conflicted with a difficult choice will rely on a game of chance to determine what he does.
Place of Origin/Home: Comes from a small port village called Wisher's Port. Moves around so much that it's the only place he could really call home.
Alignment: Neutral
Occupation: Sorcerer/Mercenary
Equipment: Just the clothes on his back, and an old copper coin. Has a pack he keeps filled with small tokens or nit-naks from all his jobs and the places he visits, but nothing really important.
Weapons: A small enchanted dagger that belongs to his mother. While it may have some form of lost magic hidden within, it primarily seems to be granted with resilience and a blade that never dulls.
Combat: Prefers to keep afar and blast his foes with chaotic magic. While he can channel elemental or arcane force into his dagger, he uses it as a last resort. Is horribly skilled in martial combat, and his dagger is used only as a defensive tool, or to kill quietly.
Magic: A user of elemental and force magic, he refuses to actually shape his magic into spells and instead just expels it as an uncontrolled force. While it makes him quicker and more powerful than a traditional spellcaster, it makes his magic unpredictable and dangerous to others and himself.
Flaws: Fillion is erratic and stubborn by nature. He lets his perception of fate govern all but the simplest of actions, and will never back down once the choice has been made, even if it seems obvious that it's the wrong one.
His magic, while powerful is also dangerous and that's just the way he likes it. At a moment's notice his attacks can backfire, either harming himself or his allies, albeit to a much lesser extent than it would normally.
History: Born in a simple little port village, Fillion came into his gift at a late age, and didn't get his first taste of magic till he was nearly 13. Before then he idolized his father and wanted nothing more than to be a fisherman like his old man.
Yet for an unknown reason Fillion instead adopted a strange obsession with the power of fate, once he came into his gift he knew that the world had a larger role for him. Leaving his village he set out as a wanderer at the young age of 13 and has since travelled the world, taking any job he could while searching for the grand role he believe he will one day play.
With the passing of years his power has grown as he has tapped into a greater and greater reserve of the arcane world and he grows more impatient, hoping that something soon will arise that will lead him to his fate.
*On a side note, playing Fillion relies a little on chance, and as such I the player will actually flip coins, roll dice and do any other games of chance he does to determine what he actually does. This includes his magic, where on a roll of 1 on a 10 sided dice will backfire and on a roll of 10 will come out with special properties.
(Hope you guys approve, I'm bringing this guy and another character over from an old rp site I played in and I haven't had a chance to read too much about what you guys are doing with this site.)
