DYNAMIC ENTRY! Okay guys! Firstly, I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome back Jess! Welcome back, Jess! Anyways! I do believe it's time we took some ACTION about this board! As most of you may know, we're pretty gridlocked right now with the current Lunar Arc, as well as having a number of amazing arcs lined up to follow straight afterwards. Of course we can't start another until we finish the current! So... I propose we all really knuckle down and get to work on this arc... NOW WHO'S WITH ME?! ~ Jordan PS. If any of you read that entire thing in Might Guys voice. I love you.

LOL hi, Jordan XD;
Anyone who knows me knows that I'm personally not a fan of a singular arc running at once as it's hard to get absolutely everyone involved in it, everyone's got a character or two that need a story of their own to be developed that can either be partially involved in the arc at hand or even start their own side story/arc thing that could help tie into the main one but still involve many people.
Or to put it simply: think of it like a spiderweb! The whole is the arc (that being this "Lunar Arc" going on right now) with the few main threads holding it together but the more people play with their own ideas the more complex and awesome it becomes. I'm thinking of bringing Ganondorf back actually to continue what he was supposed to be doing which will end up with his own storyline that anyone can join but you never know, it may just add to the major arc at hand itself :3 We never know until we do it afterall, yeah?

*Nod* I get what you're saying, although I don't expect the current system to change it certainly doesn't mean you can not start your own plot. Take what we were doing with the Saints for instance, of course it is a bit understandably limited to those who would've been alive during the time (I.E Saints and Itan-Sha.) it still has nothing to do with Lunar arc yet people still rp in it.
...We need to finish it... *looks with determination.*

Hello all! Turns out, Mike and I were in a bit of a misunderstanding standoff. Main threads should get back to moving now. Also - I'm ready and willing to have anyone be doing anything outside. Kouichi and Kouji are involved with the main arc, but Elexa's free and so is Suisei (though she's on Earth and thus might not appear until my arc sends the rest of the gang back there) and so are... um... Vaan, and anyone else I've forgotten. That's not Vash. He's pretty important to the arc.

lol exactly. I'm not at all looking for the system as it currently is to change, just that if people have a story they really wanna get out they should just go for it regardless, you never really know exactly how things will all tie in together :3 And if it turns out that you'll be intruding on someone else's plans, you can always hold off or put in standby posts until the first plot/arc clears out so no one steals anyone else's thunder.

'zactly. I'm a big believer in Personal vs. Site arcs. Personal or characater arcs don't necessarily have to be all about one character, and are just as long as site-wide rcs, but take place on a smaller scale, while site-wide arcs are big massive things that draw massive amounts of charcters from widely different backgrounds on an epic quest to save the world.
Though, depending on how tied a character's backstory is to the site arc, it could perform both functions... like with Vash...

*Nod* I was generally talking about site arc's though to be honest! :') I do believe Volk, Mark and Miri all have arcs lined up! (Although not in that order) with one of those being a large scale one. I really really really want to get onto that large one for obvious reasons! But that being said, I want to see what's happening with the other two as well, plus this arc's technically being going on for nearly a year now

I think it's pretty fair to say that personal arcs change lives and some situations, where site-wide arcs literally change the world, which will affect just about everyone.
Unless you're a royal, in which case it's your country you're running and therefore you can change things in your country just about at any time...you know, unless the site-wide arc ALSO changes that XD; First examples that come to my mind are a.) Santo-Luce, regardless of the prohibited modern weapons laws still was hit with a nuclear bomb of sorts, which was part of a site-wide arc. b.) I believe a war had happened during the Sumata arc between Ignis and something, the heroes or something--regardless, the ending result was that the royal was dethroned which just left the country in turmoil.

Also, the death of the queen of Unda (site-wide) lead to the first Democracy of Allurom (mini arc). And um... in defense of the Nuclear bomb, the effect vanished after Grey was killed... so... all forgiven!

LOL did it? XD;; somehow I either forgot it or never knew. I can't remember if I did anything with it other than say that Alexander had to shift money around to make sure it all got fixed and people had temporary homes until new ones were built--EITHER WAY THE PROBLEM WAS SOLVED hahahahha

XD;; I'm sure we could bring up several more characters' bull for powers for shits and giggles--some of them are hilarious at points (as Grey's was, I actually thought the nuke in Santo-Luce, though completely unexpected, was hilarious and provided story for Alexander for a time), though sometimes they can and could be annoying. I think it's been proven in several cases for different characters that you can have BS powers but if you restrict them with certain rules or something they seem to be okay. Likewise, you could have normal powers but BS your way through everything anyway ; Please excuse my character-fapping in using Annabelle and Jasmine as examples--the two can channel spirits in through their bodies which makes them able to use said spirits' powers and/or weapons...though they can't do any more than what their physical body currently can handle. IE: Jasmine COULD channel a pro heavy-weight wrestler or anyone else who needs a lot of upper body strength but it'll do absolutely jack all for her as her body just can't lift anything to save her life XDDD;

True, true.
And, hey, on my part, I guess there's Vash, too. I mean, he's an immortal spirit who's the incarnation of the element of death. Mostly, though, it's his own morals and stuff that keep him from using the power. And the fact that it could potentially start a world war.
In my re-write of his story, he's actually an undead-hunter since he's able to use his power somewhat like a D&D cleric can.
