(Just a little past thing Jordan and I decided to do, any Saint needing a daily dose of nostalgia can join.)
It's funny... when you're trapped for a eternity you have a lot of time to go through everything that has happened to you, the ups, the downs. As you might guess, I have a lot of time on my hands, enough time to rethink everything that has happened to me...
Like that one cool morning out in the fields with Roxa, he was new to the group and I wanted to test his abilities.
1000 years until present day.
The world was very different than it was today, at this point the world was shaking in fear as Duo's armies had just conquered Roccia. Soon Duo's armies would march to his next battle and we were getting ready, we needed everyone to be at their strongest.
"Are you paying attention?" Kain questioned Roxa, his tone of voice was resembled to a older brother: caring but forceful, "You have to stay focused if you wish to win..."
He tapped Mani-Katti to the side of his leg, motioning for Roxa to attack.

Roxa suddenly looked down from the sky and looked across at Kain "Huh?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. Roxa had been different then, he had recently joined the Saints and as such he felt like he had a family again, it gave him a sense of freedom and allowed him to relax and lay back slightly, be the child that he once had before he had joined the Saints. But he snapped back when he realized that Kain was motioning for him to attack.
Roxa may have grown more immature, cocky and childish in these past few weeks, but he had not grown any weaker. Unsheathing his two swords, he rushed forwards towards Kain, holding them inwards so as to strike with the blunt sides. He released a flurry at his sparring partner.

Roxa was powerful, there was no doubt that he was certainly one of the most powerful humans that Kain had ever encountered. However, Kain wasn't a human, he was a god.
Roxa did manage to surprise him, his speed was a near rival to his own and his strength might even be a challenge to Everto. Kain blocked the strikes and parried them.
"Years on your own have clearly made you a powerful warrior! However you'll find Duo's men to be far more powerful than your average bandit!"
Roxa was actually putting Kain on the defense... not that he'd admit that or anything.

Roxa's brow furrowed as he focused on his attacks, those bandits that Kain had mentioned had been his sole reason for existing for years. They had been his objective and main goal for what had seemed an eternity, but to hear them classified as just average? It burned Roxa. He felt the need to burn Kain in turn.
"Can I do it?"
Roxa pushed the voice to the back of his mind and concentrated on his sword swipes, spinning around he swung his arms out wide, both of his swords swinging from the center outwards to the left and right

Sonorc was sitting up on a hill watching the children fight and train. He could watch, and drink his tea in peace. Well peace for now, he wanted to see how the new kid, Soga, or Rocco... It has an O in it, how he fought against Kain. "Not bad." He said to himself.

Roxa's eyes said it all, and quickly Kain felt the impact on his words as his attacks grew more powerful.
Quickly Kain switched from defense to offense in a blink of an eye, he quickly vanished from the area and appeared right behind him, "You need to keep emotions from the battlefield, or else you'll end up dead!" He swung towards the back of Roxa with the dual part of his blade.

Roxa's eyes spread wide before he built up the pressure in the air underneath him and launched it away, flinging himself into the air he flipped away from Kain and landed on the grass not far behind from him. With a small grunt he launched himself forwards with the blunt side of his blades swinging towards Kain's legs, aiming to stop him from moving so quickly for this sparring session!
Roxa was learning, if somewhat slowly. Despite what Kain said, Roxa was never clouded by his feelings, it drove him, but it also drove Ave (the dark spirit that resided within him) to the surface. Forcing down the demon was his only drawback to emotion, and when the situation got too hot? Well, that's when he let the demon go, and that's when things usually got messy.

Alessia stepped up from behind Sonorc, she gazed down onto Roxa and Kain as they fought. She never really got a chance to actually meet the new guy, it almost seemed as if he was avoiding her.
"What's going on down there...?" She questioned, "They look like they're having fun..."

Roxa's blades were suddenly blocked away with two quick strikes, "Heh, nice try..." 'I can't believe he forced me to use my 'quick blade'... How is he so powerful?' Kain looked right at him, his dark eyes staring into his soul.... or at least he tried.
Suddenly a screeching voice pierced his head, STAY OUT![/b]' it surprised Kain so much that he fell back. "Gha!" He yelled, closing his eyes to make sure he cut the connection.

"They are just training." He said to her, as he took a bite out of a sweet bread. "Soga seems to be a good fighter. He can keep up with Kain, and he even duel wield. Want a slice?" He said as he held a piece of bread to her.

Upon seeing Alessia approach the group, Roxa spun around and used a small burst of air pressure to blow his hood up and onto his head. Suddenly he felt Ave scream at someone.
"STAY OUT!"
Roxa was pretty unfazed by the voice, he had grown adjusted to Ave's rants, but who had he screamed at then? He saw Kain fall back and saw a change! Holding out a hand he pulled it towards him, a wall of pressure formed behind Kain before bursting outwards, aiming to throw Kain towards Roxa whilst the leader of the Saints had his eyes closed. Roxa meanwhile launched himself forwards, aiming to bull rush his sparring partner.

"Um... sure!" She happily took a piece of bread, "Soga is his name? Seems like a nice name..."
She noticed Kain fall back and got a little worried, Did Soga do that?

Kain was indeed thrown right towards Roxa, and with his head screeching in pain he nearly got hit by Roxa's move... nearly. He suddenly regained his footing and then sent a small wave of Nia's fire right at Roxa, not enough to really hurt him but enough to give him a burn or two.

A blonde haired swordsman squatted on the opposite end of the sparring session from the Saints and watched intrigued, with a sheathed katana in hand resting against the dirt, he leaned against it. His eyes scanned the way that the two fighters moved, making note of their sword style and other interesting factors on their fighting techniques, the dark haired on seemed to rely on speed (and from what Brea could tell) some sense of magic, the younger one in the black coat seemed to drive himself forwards with raw emotion and power. Right now he was unrefined, but with training... He could be a master swordsman.
"He should be an Itan-Sha" A voice spoke next to him, and Brea smiled warmly up at the orange haired warrior stood next to him, she had been one of his closest companions for a long time now. "Yes. He should. But he won't be, I don't know what it is that pushes him, but it's not good..."

"Wha-?!" Roxa was caught off guard by the flames, he leaped back clumsily and fell onto his back but he did his best to regain his composure as swiftly as he could. Using the momentum of the fall, he leaned backwards and rolled up onto his knees before leaping into the air, back flipping and landing surely on his feet. He made sure to pat out a fire that was starting to spark up on his sleeve before turning back to face Kain, ready to make his next move as soon as he was ready.
