Faey was humming to herself as she stepped calmly out of the portal and into the alley, just off a major street in L. A. She smiled and leaned against the brick wall of one of the buildings, looking around while waiting for Nintsu and Rossignol to follow. "It's good to be home.." She murmured to herself, despite being slightly sad at having left the magic and natural beauty of Allorum. Still, she could hear even from where she was the music of a small-time band trying to get followers by playing on the street. Dang, I've missed that. The constant music everywhere you go..

Aeyara Rossignol skipped out of the portal just in time to run right into the wall.
"OWWW!" she cried as she fell back on her butt and glared at the wall. "Why was that there?!"
She looked around at the buildings and her eyes went wide.
"Oh... oh... OH MY FLYING GOODNESS THIS IS COOL!" she yelled as she jumped to her feet and ran to find where the music was coming from.

Nintsu was on the ground as he fell out of the portal.
"Uhh, what is this I landed in? Its slimy, sticky AND wet all at the same time. I didn't think that was possible.[/i] He gets to his feet, and pulls a banana Peel off his head.
Still, this place had a magic of its own as he looked out towards the street. He had never seen such large buildings, fast cars, or so many people at the same time.
Awestruck despite his disgust, He said "This is all quite a lot to take in."[/i]

Faey watched Rossignol run off, amused. "And off she goes!"
She looked at Nintsu and grimaced sympathetically, reaching out a hand to help him up. "You landed in a banana peel, and, yes, it's disgusting. And as far as there being a lot to take in.. Take your time. There's a lot to see here, but pay attention to details as well. Maybe you'll see something that bring back memories."

Alright, I'm going to have to remember where this is,[/i] He thought to himself as he instinctively memorized the street corner they were at.
"Hey, we should go look for Aeyara really quickly. I have a feeling she might get lost. Let's meet back here at the portal at nightfall if we get split up okay?"[/i]

Faey nodded and grinned. "Aye. She can't have gotten too far, yet..." She walked out onto the street and looked around for the blond woman. ".. I hope."

Aeyara had already made herself quite acquainted with the band members and was flirting with two of the three, and only those two because the other was a girl.
"You guys should toootally teach me how to playyy!"she gushed as she grabbed one of their acoustic guitars and started trying to play. Except she was holding it the wrong way and thought you played it by snapping the strings.
"Oooops...." she muttered as the band members glared at her and one began to yell.
"Time for me to find something else to do!" she ran off in search of other fun things. She had already tried to get into one of the bars but was stopped by some guy at the entrance who asked for her 'ID'. And then kicked her out when she was caught trying to sneak in.
"Hmm..." she looked around and something colorful caught her eye... Someones hair. It was the most peculiar shade of pink. I have to find out how to do that!!! Aey ran up to the girl with pink hair and demanded to know how she had it. Soon enough she had directions to a building where she could get colorful hair too. She walked into the building and looked around. A woman behind a desk looked at her expectantly.
"HEY CAN YOU MAKE MY HAIR COLORFUL TOO?" Aey shouted excitedly.
"Not if you keep yelling." the woman glared.
"So... You can't?" Aey looked crushed.
"No, we can. But I'll kick you out if you get loud again."
"I'll be quiet! Promise!"
"Okay... what color do you have in mind?"
"I get to choose?!"
~One Half Hour Later~
Aey walked out of the salon with the biggest grin on her face. Her hair was now every color she could get... which was all of them.
"Oooh! This is so great I never wanna leaveeee!" she said as she jumped around in a circle until she got dizzy.
"Hey! Get back here, you still need to pay!" the woman inside yelled.
"Pay?. . . Oops." Aey ran.

Nintsu was calling out "AEYARA" when he heard a commotion coming from across the street.
Something about a "Runner" and several people were getting knocked to the ground.
I hope thats not her[/i] He thought to himself as he continued to yell, AEYARA![/i][/size]

Aeyara heard Nintsu call her and ran to him.
"Hi!" she said breathlessly as she looked around. The woman had stopped chasing her, though she was still getting a lot of weird looks, and she had a feeling it wasn't just because of her hair.
"I think we miiight need to get out of the general area..." she said.

Nintsu saw that people 'were' indeed staring at them.
"Come on, lets go back to the portal. Faeylinn will be waiting for us. This way!"[/i] He said as he took off down the sidewalk.
Let's see, it was two roads down this way.....no, just one block. was it a left or a right? Ah, whatever I'll just follow the signs,[/i] He thought as he led her back towards the portal....He hoped.

Faey had decided to stay near the portal, but on the sidewalk of the main street so she could see Nintsu or Aeyara if they approached. Finally she saw Nintsu and grinned... Until she saw Aeyara following him with her hair a variety of bright and unnatural colors. She raised an eyebrow at Aey, "I thought you'd never been to Earth before? How'd you pay for that?"

Nintsu smiled, So, this girl is a bundle of energy too. Still, this is serious business, we don't need to draw too much attention to us. Who knows what would happen if the police started chasing us.[/i]
"Its very......colorful,"[/i] Nintsu said, in truth she looked a bit like a clown, "You should be more careful. This place is pretty crowded and we don't need to get into trouble."[/i]

Faey sighed and shook her head. "Getting out of trouble is harder here than it is in Allorum, and we can all get in a lot of trouble. Please please please don't steal anything more, or ask for labor you can't pay for. You get caught, I get caught with you, and things will just get worse from there." She shook her head and then smiled. "Alright, we should probably get out of here and get you two into Earth clothes. Follow me." She turned and started walking in that usual quick stride of hers.
