A new dream from the shattered ones *Tidus/Yuna*

[Tidus]

...The Planet of Gaia, where Tidus has called a sort of home for nearly a whole year. He and his friends joined a mercenary group on the planet and seemed to make a comfortable living there, preforming odd jobs for anyone who pays. It was well paid life....

...and Tidus hated every second of it.

Where should he start? Let's begin, well, he flunked the test of the group he intended to be in and got transferred here, to Balamb Garden. Which separated him from his friends and Yuna, did she care? No. Why should she? They broke up.

The love of his life not in love with him anymore, transferred away from his friends, and forced to follow regulations and rules that he didn't always agree with.

It was hell. He missed Spira.

But there was one place he missed more, Allorum. Where a good friend of his was, a friend he hoped to see once again. And with all the crap going on in his life, he could really use a good friend again.

He walked through the halls of Balamb, wearing the uniform, tugging at the collars and waiting eagerly for his break to begin. He had approached the launch bay with Balambs Commander, he was supposed to meet a visitor from Esthar. Who was old friends with the Commander of Balamb. He sighed as the ship landed at the dock and people were getting off.

Huh...I know that ship, he thought, looking as his Commander went to greet his old friend.

When his 'old friend' stepped out he recognized who he was...and the beautiful woman right next to him. His eyes widened and he felt his heart fall down to his stomach.

Oh come on!!! he thought, angling his body away so that when Yuna would pass him she would, hopefully, not recognize him.

Yuna looked around, seeing all the people in uniform out to greet them, and glad she'd worn her own Garden uniform instead of a formal dress like she'd been thinking about. Of course, Angel was beside her, greeding the Commander, but for some reason, she couldn't keep her eyes in front of her. Something just drew them away - maybe it was something about the energy, maybe it was destiny, but they eventually came to rest on a head of messy blonde hair in the crowd, and she paused at the familiarity. Of course, a head of hair wasn't enough to identify a person, and he was wearing the Balamb uniform, but she caught a glimpse of him in passing, and for a moment, her eyes met the familiar gaze of the man who had been her closest friend and more for so long. Then, seeing hte hurt in those eyes, she turned away, pretending not to have recognized him, knowing it was better this way, knowing that she no longer loved him the same way and that she stood beside the man of her dreams.

He knew she saw him, he saw her green and blue eyes, stare at him before turning away. It hurt him, seeing her stand beside another man. Proclaim her love for him, and stand by him forever.

He had lost everything he had wanted that day, and even more.

I'm heading back to my room, he thought, screwing over protocol and leaving.

Little did any of them notice though, a small white dot appeared in the air and was steadily growing bigger....

...Tidus must have fell asleep, cause it was an hour later than when he returned to his room. Weepy and upset. The nap dulled his pain though, he could survive another day. But as he was planning to get out he heard a lot of commotion, he stepped out of his room and followed the source. It was back at the launch pad he was at earlier.

"Great, now what..." he grumbled, walking to the edge with everyone else and staring at the white portal that had formed. As he stared at it he felt something familiar...then memories of a beautiful woman and his best friend shot in his head.

That's like Profeta's portals...it's Allorum! I can go back!, his eyes widened, he could barely contain the glee that filled him.

[Yuna Kaname]

Yuna was still standing in the launch pad, inspecting the Celsius, letting Angel attend to his business, when she saw the portal form along with everyone else. She saw Tidus come in the room; he must've left earlier. She started to move towards where he was standing, close to the portal.

[Tidus]

As the joy of returning to Allorum filled his head...a thought also came in.

What if the Planeswalkers find this? he thought, What if they deem it dangerous and do a planar lockdown...then I'd be stuck here forever!

He ran back to his room, pushing past people to get there. He took off his SeeD suit when get to his room and put on his old clothes, grabbed Brotherhood, Caldblog, his Blitzball, and his launcher. He ran back to the launch pad, running past the crowd.

Don't look back, there's nothing here for you. Only move forward.

He ran past them all and leaped for the portal, yelling, "I'm outta here!"

[Yuna Kaname]

Yuna watched him, hearing his shout, and all the words from the past year echoed through her mind. She started to push through after him, calling out.

"Tidus, wait!"

Then, seeing him take the leap, she stepped forward, and, without thinking, jumped in after him, thinking a mental apology to Angel as she switched into Gunner mode and let the light overtake her.

As the portal overtook him he heard someone yell, he saw Yuna...running for him. At first a memory of her, running to him, pleading him not to fade away entered his mind...

Until when she leaped in the portal she slammed into him.

"Aurgh!" he yelled, as he felt himself shoot off course. He saw Yuna get launched off to somewhere too. They we're gonna end up on the other side...who knows where they would end up now.

She felt herself crash into something, ralized it was Tidus, and reached for him, called his name, but it was too late - something was pulling her away from him, and she remembered watching his retreating back as he leaped from the airship and faded into the endless clouds... then she felt herself hit something else, something harder, and she fell unconscious...
