Gazing from atop a small plateau high up in the mountains, Nintsu silently gazes down at the beast 70 yards below. I must know its every movement before I strike he thinks as the large three horned beast digs, searching for its something to eat.
A creature this large must be take down before it gets a chance to counter my strike. this must be a perfect ambush.
He spends what seems like an eternity, but is more likely simply an hour watching his prey and memorizing its movements and mannerisms before - "ngh" Nintsu exclaims as he braces himself.
I'm getting hungry, I don't know how much longer I can contain it.....damn this thing, why me? why can't I control it? he curses himself, I guess I have to act soon, before I unwittingly give away my position
Nintsu takes a few steps backwards, enough to get a running start and he leaps off the cliff going full spread eagle upon his leap. as he reaches the pinnacle of his jump his body begins to glow blue as he falls, with ever-increasing speed. soon it is just a glowing blur falling through the valley between mountains.
Finally, there is a "thud" as the Blur collides into the beast, and dust flies into the air. when the dust clears the beast is lying on the ground with a long spike driven through its neck connected to the arm of a 10 foot tall blue demon.
"RAAAWWWWRRRRR" bellows The Demon as it withdraws the bloody spike slowly from the beast's neck, not caring how messy the kill became.
"Now you can eat" whispers The Demon in a deep raspy voice to nobody in particular it seems.
Then The Demon's head opens at the top and he moves like a blur devouring the 2 ton triceratops monster in mere seconds. leaving only the man who once stood atop the plateau watching this once great beast live its life with no fear of what may have been around it covered in a bloody mess from head to foot.

Down a path through the mountains, humming could just very faintly be heard, getting closer quickly. Faeylinn was half walking, half hopping down the path, swinging her staff around, pretending to hit enemies with the broken end while she hummed her own little battle theme. In all honesty, she looked pretty stupid, but she thought she was alone, so she continued along the path, looking stupid and having fun doing so.

Deep within his soul Nintsu could hear his Demon screaming at him, I HEAR WHISTLING![/b]
"Whistling......." Nintsu wondered out loud. "What is whistling?"
Suddenly it came upon him the realization of what that meant, although Nintsu could not tell if it came from his untapped human memories or the demon screaming danger from within him.
Whistling comes from a person![/b] He thought excitedly as he tried to assess the situation. So people do live here too, its been far too long since I have seen another human.......wait, have I seen another human? Damn this mind of mine! why does it have to be so scrambled?[/b]
Finally he looked down upon himself and saw the horror that he was. still covered head to toe in the blood of his victim.
Oh man, what am I supposed to do now? surely this person will think me a murderer or a freak!
I see two options, I could hide and hope they don't notice the blood still on the ground, or I could pretend that the blood is mine[/b]
"What to do, what to do!" He wondered frantically as he paced back and forth.
Finally, he came to a decision
Nintsu unfastened his Handgun from his waist, pointed in at his shoulder and....
simultaneously
"BANG!" and "AAAARRRGGGG"

Faey had just been spinning her staff in a still stupid-looking and show-offy way when she heard the screm and promptly lost her concentration, hitting herself on the head with it. "Ow!" She blinked and shook her head quickly, looking around, and then saw the guy who must have screamed- covered in blood and with a hole in his shoulder. "Oh my god!" For a moment she panicked and then ran towards him, trying to calm herself down. Are you alright? No, of course not, you've got a hole in your shoulder ohmygodthatmusthurt." She was babbling now as she got closer, obviously panicking just a little bit.

"AAAAHHHH" Nintsu screams as he is still feeling the pain
Wow, that hurts a WHOLE of a lot more than I thought it would[/b] He thinks as he squirms on the ground I have to maintain control and set my story straight now.
"I'LL BE FINE, JUST MAKE SURE THE BEAST IS GONE" Nintsu manages to squeeze out.
"The last thing.....I want is my........rescuer getting hurt too" He says realizing he is screaming.

"The Beast?" This got through to her and Faey looked around, confused, but she didn't see anything other than this guy, covered in blood and screaming. She took a deep breath to calm herself, and then touched his shoulder, grimacing at the stickiness of the blood. "Hold still." The familiar tingling sensation passed through her hands, lingering for a few long moments before dissipating, the wound on his shoulder slowly closing.

This feels amazing! I can't believe such powers exist in this world!
"Thank you, I can't believe my luck in being rescued by one with powers such as yours fair lady!"
maybe I can convince this girl to teach me about this world if I compliment her enough.

Faeylinn kept her hands there for a moment longer, making sure the wound closed completely, then pulled away, looking awkward. "Uhm.. Be careful, your shoulder may still be sore." She didn't really know what else to say- she didn't take compliments well.

"I see,[/b]" Nintsu says as he squiggles his shoulder around in a little circle, gauging it to see if it could support him without causing enough pain to make him feint.
After deciding that he was fine, he begins to prop himself up, reaching his feet. "thanks again for saving me back there, I don't know what I would have done if you hadn't come along. I can't believe that happened. No Beast has ever gotten the best out of me[/i]" Nintsu says with pride as a Man, with fear of Being found out as a man, and out of pride as a demon. This lie at least they could agree on.
"I'm Nintsu by the way," he says as he steadies himself and holds out his good arm.

Now Faey was really confused. This guy seemed pretty normal, but what beast was he talking about? There was nothing else around. Still, she shook his hand, a bit wary and introduced herself. "I'm Faeylinn. What are you talking about, a beast?"

Darn, she wouldn't let it go, Nintsu cursed himself as he stared off into the distance,
"there was this enormous beast here, it probably weighed over a ton."
"I.....uhhhhh.......I'm kind of embarrassed to say this, having hunted for my food after all this time, and not seeing another person for as long as I can remember, you'd think I would be a bit better at....uh..... killing my prey." Nintsu says as wonders how many people there were here, and how close they would be.

One of Faey's eyebrows shot up, and she looked at Nintsu as if he was crazy. "Well, that explains the wound, but leaves another thing to be explained. You were hunting and there was a beast over a ton that caused the wound? Where's the beast now?" Something about this definitely didn't seem right and she picked up her broken staff, which she'd left on the ground next to her to heal his shoulder.

Faey continued her look for a moment, then shrugged it off at his sheepish expression. Got away, and he doesn't want to admit it, I guess. "Can't win 'em all, aye?" She grinned friendlily.

Snapping back into reality, Nintsu quickly blurts out, "No, I suppose not."[/i]
after a slight pause to breath and return to normal rhythm he says, " I don't really know where I am, or how I got here. Do you know?[/i]
