A Fated Meeting (Leeith/Liatra)

[Leeith]

Leeith stood among the ruins. silent as she always was, clothed in her usual black with her scimitars sheathed on each hip. She was waiting there for... Well, she wasn't quite sure yet. She'd found herself growing tired of mundane and unchanging world of Allorum. She found herself feeling inspired to do something, change the state of things. She sensed something important would be happening soon.. And she wanted to be a part of it. Her instincts had brought her to Ketalunanox's Lunatopia Ruins, and so, here she waited.

[Liatra]

Night had fallen and Liatra was once again following Fate. Recently she had not been able to leave Ketulunanox much due to errands and such, but she still wandered the area when she could, searching for whatever she was meant to find. This night she was brought to the Ruins. Something important was here, but what? She took out one of her daggers, absently flipping it while she walked slowly, her gaze wandering. Why am I here...?

[Leeith]

Leeith tensed as she heard, very faintly, movement to her left. She turned to face.. A dark-haired woman wielding a dagger. In less than two seconds she had her weapons drawn and was balanced upon the balls of her feet, ready to either attack or defend herself if attacked.

[Liatra]

Liatra stopped as she saw Leeith as well. Armed and ready to fight... Strange... She thought. She paused for a moment to see if the woman would attack, then put away her own dagger to show she was not searching for a battle. Fate does not mean for blood to be shed here this night.

[Leeith]

Leeith narrowed her eyes and lowered her weapons in response, not sheathing yet. The woman did not seem to be doing anything of importance, and she wasn't there to attack. Or, at least, she didn't seem to be. Leeith remained on her guard anyways, to be ready for what may come.

[Liatra]

"Why are you here?" Liatra asked softly, curious if Fate had led this woman here as well. If that is true, then what is here that is so important? She knew the story of this place as well as the others, but there was little left anyway.

[Leeith]

The woman was asking questions, not physically attacking. still, Leeith was on edge, so she kept her grip on the hilts of her scimitars after sheathing them. Why am I here?.. A very good question.. After a few long moments of silence she replied simply, "I am waiting." Her voice mirroring the other woman's in softness.

[Liatra]

"Why do you wait?" she asked, a sliver of doubt beginning to grow in her mind. Perhaps she was not led here by Fate... Or would Fate really have her do nothing but sit quietly in the background?...

[Leeith]

Once again, there was a pregnant pause as Leeith considered the question, and the answer. "I wait because it is what my instinct tells me I must do.. For the moment." She released her grip on the scimitars, her hands still hovering near the weapons just in case. "Why are you here?" As far as she knew the ruins were completely abandoned, no one lived there and very, very few traveled for reasons other than to 'sight-see' as some put it.

[Liatra]

"I see..." Liatra said as she looked down, deep in thought. Did Fate lead her here to meet me for some reason? If so I would be rather impressed in her senses, to know what Fate intends... Or it could be some sort of trap... She looked back up at Leeith, not answering her question. She began to slowly circle around her, trying to get an idea of what she was thinking...

[Leeith]

Instantly, Leeiths movements countered hers, circling as well, wary, her hands resting on the hilts of her weapons again.

[Liatra]

Liatra stopped and a small smile crossed her face before she turned away to look at the moon.
"It is a very beautiful night to give in to Fate and wander your destiny, is it not?" she asked quietly, her voice carrying through the still night.

[Leeith]

Leeith's eyes narrowed again. "I would not know. I simply went where my instincts led. Whether they were influenced by Fate or destiny, I have no knowledge. You still have not answered my question."

[Liatra]

Liatra kept gazing at the moon, pausing to think of her answer.
"I suppose... some might say I was brought in the same way you were... Instinct, wandering, sheer chance. But they would be wrong. Fate led me to this place tonight... And I have reason to believe that is what brought you here as well."

[Leeith]

Not quite believing her, Leeith clarified. "You believe there is a purpose for our meeting?"
