"Oh... right..." she grinned. "I'm Aeyara Rossignol!" she said as she stuck out her hand, sort of. She lost her balance and instead had to use that hand to steady herself against a wall first.
Oops... No more drinks for the next hour, I need to focus! she thought.
She glanced around at the rest of the party; most of them seemed to be fighting in the building they were in; not her favorite place to be. She leaned against the wall to avoid falling over and looked back at Rutger.
"And you?"

The swordsman watched as Aeyara stumbled to one side. He leaned forward slightly, as if to help steady her if she needed it, but she seemed to recover fine on her own. "...Careful." The swordsman paused for a moment. He didn't like giving out his name without some consideration, but seeing as Navarre had already announced it earlier, he figured it wouldn't be reasonable to withhold his name from this woman. "...My name is Rutger." After speaking his name, the swordsman looked around and noticed that Aeyara seemed uncomfortable. She probably had a few too many drinks. Then again, it could be the fighting as well... "Aeyara... you look uneasy. Is something amiss?" He raised a hand to his chin and looked at her with a stoic expression.

"Amiss?... Oh, you mean something wrong?" she shook her head a little too much, making herself dizzy. "Oh... Um no nothings wrong... Just... a little... oops..." she muttered as she lost her balance again.

This time the swordsman moved in to steady Aeyara as she slipped . The intoxication was clearly affecting her balance and her judgment. "...!" The swordsman kept a hand on Aeyara's back and tried to keep her standing straight up without tipping her over. He really didn't want her falling over while under his observation. "...I think you've probably had enough." As a disciplined student of the sword, he did not particularly care to indulge in drinking... but clearly Aeyara had drank enough for the both of them.

Aey tried to lean her head against the wall to make the room stop spinning, but ended up hitting her head a bit hard. "Ooowww..." she muttered. "Okay, you're probably right... No more drinkss for now..."

The swordsman closed his eyes and took in a deep breath. Aeyara seemed genuinely intoxicated; if this was all an act, then it was certainly a convincing one. He took a moment to collect his patience. “…” While Aeyara leaned against the wall, the swordsman glanced around the party. While she had talked to a fair number of people since she arrived, the swordsman couldn’t see anyone who was looking after her. “Did you… come here on your own?” He spoke with a certain measure of reluctance in his voice. If she was all on her own, then the swordsman felt he would have some responsibility to look after her well-being. After all, it was fairly obvious her judgment was inhibited. It would distract him from his goals, but he did have his conscience to consider...

"Well... uhhh..." Aey had to think about it for a moment. There had been some guy walking around with her when the party started... But she couldn't remember his name or why he was there. She shrugged. "Yeah, I guess..."

The swordsman sighed. He'd assumed as much. Well, there wasn't much he could do; he'd just have to keep an eye on her for the time being, at least until she either passed out or sobered up. "...I see." He kept his arms crossed and wore a stoic expression on his face. "...You might as well enjoy the festivities, at least. Surely you came here to do more than drink?" If he was going to be guilted into escorting her, the swordsman figured he might as well keep things interesting.

"Well... yeah I guess..." she said as she thought about it. Or, tried to, since things were still kind of spinning... "To have fun and stuff..." she grinned. Not the best reason, by far, but she couldn't admit her other one... yet.

The swordsman paused in thought for a moment. Aeyara's answer seemed sufficiently vague, and yet his options still seemed to be limited. "..." He put an arm around her and guided Aeyara forward. He kept a slight distance, though, because he wanted to be able to pull back in case she got sick. She didn't look too bad off, but a little caution couldn't hurt. "...You can walk, right? Where should we go?" While he didn't like to leave himself at the mercy of a drunk girl's sense of direction, the swordsman did not know the lay of the land particularly well. He was a wanderer in a foreign country and so the whole area was fairly new to him as a whole.

Aey grinned as he put his arm around her. She walked with him, trying to stumble as little as possible, though nearly getting tripped by an overturned... Well it looked like it might have been a chair before the party started but she wasn't sure if it was anymore...
"Well... Hmm.. I dunno...." she winced as she heard a loud crash. "But maybe... anywhere that's not here would be a little nicer..." she said.
