Andy listened to her story intently, frowning, he wondered if Jasmine had to take hold of things herself then whoever was ruling Ignis either didn't know, or didn't care. Which in all things considered, didn't seem to be good.
"Does Vincent know about your heroic deed? Or did you forget to tell him your plan..."

Jasmine's smile fell as she answered, "Well...he doesn't know. If I told him he probably wouldn't have let me...and if I didn't come do it people were going to die..."
She bit her lip, wondering how well this was going to go with her father now that it'd been mentioned. She couldn't imagine him to be happy but as her values stood she'd have rathered done what she could (and did) about the situation than sit there knowing she could have saved lives.
The trip back to the atoll city was looking to be not nearly as long as her trip to Ardeo to begin with and that made Jasmine happy; it was probably because she had Andy as company. Despite the few issues she was having at the moment it truly relieved her to have her best friend, the man she'd grown to love, back in her life just like old times. Lots of travelling and story-telling.
"We shouldn't be too far away now. You can come see the house and visit everyone for awhile. I put together the garden nicely I think, it's not nearly as nice as Mother's had been but I really tried," Jasmine spoke as the figures of the many buildings from the city started coming into clear view.

"...Mother's...grave..." Andy frowned, the disturbing sight of what happened to Hala's grave haunted him. That cloaked man...who was he, why did he do what he did.
"Listen...Jasmine, I went to see Hala's grave...and..." he stopped for a moment, trying not to choke up. "...someone shattered the grave stone."

Only yards away from the city they were but Jasmine stopped when Andy mentioned the grave that was left in Crepusculum. She looked up at him, giving a perplexed look as she asked, "...wait, what?"
Someone smashed the gravestone? Why the hell would anyone have done that? She'd almost want to believe it was a joke but she knew Andy well enough (so she hoped) to know he wouldn't kid about something like this.

"I was stopping by to visit the grave...but there was someone there. I couldn't see his face cause he was wearing some hood over it, he looked at me...and then..." he paused as he clenched his fist. "He turned to Hala's grave and smashed the gravestone."

Jasmine's eyes narrowed, both in confusion and disgust.
"I don't understand though. Why would someone do something like that? She hadn't done anything to anyone while alive and she's definitely not doing anything to them now from beyond the grave; I don't understand why someone would be cruel enough to disrupt her resting place like that," she said slowly, trying to sort out her thoughts carefully as she did so, "...they didn't touch the grave itself, did they?"
It'd been awhile since Jasmine had been in contact with her mother--if anything, this may or may not have given her an excuse to channel the woman's spirit again.
"In either case, we should tell Papa about it, too. He'll be angry if he finds out himself."

"No, they didn't...just the grave stone." Andy said, thinking to himself. Although it clearly showed on his face, the thought of something that seemed to disturb him. It was as if...he did it just to get under my skin, like he knew who I was...and wanted to hurt me, bad.

Jasmine tilted her head to the side as she listened to Andy, watching his face carefully. She remembered how much he'd beat himself up over Hala's death, and how he'd been so determined to deal with her murderer. It had been through actions like these that she'd learned how much Hala really meant to Andy. It was just like he were her own son.
Jasmine reached for Andy's hand, holding it warmly and said, "We'll fix this. Let's go talk to Papa, and then we can go to Crepusculum and investigate it," she couldn't hide the grin on her face (nor the bitterness in her voice) as she added, "besides, I could really use a reason to get away from the home."

Andy looked at her and nodded, "Alright then...lead the way."
