The city of Ardeo was filled with its usual excitement, cityfolk going about their daily business selling/buying things, kids attending school and whatnot.
In and out of the small crowds in the buzzing main streets however was a small-framed figure of a woman, cloaked in purple and in an obvious hurry. Slipping past and inbetween people in her way she made a point to turn her hooded head back in the direction she came from, almost as though looking for someone or something.
Or rather, checking to see if she were being followed.
She stood still for a moment, scanning the crowd carefully and when she assured herself that she was alone, turned and bumped into someone as she went to continue down the street.
"S-sorry," she quickly muttered without paying the person much more mind, almost jogging to the side of the street and disappearing into a small alleyway between a couple of buildings. Almost immediately afterward however an even larger figure followed her, almost out of the blue, drawing their sword as they too turned the corner...

Andy was traveling through Ignis after getting caught in a whirlwind of events, but one was on his mind right now. He had heard that Jasmine relocated to Ignis after he left, maybe he'd find her here somewhere. He felt someone bump his shoulder and ran past him after muttering a quick sorry. Before he could say anything the person was gone, leaving only a wave of blond hair as the person turned a corner.
...wait...
He turned back to that spot, realizing the person he bumped into was a woman. And her voice was setting a familiar spot in his mind. Could it be...?
Only one way to find out, he soon chased after her. As he rounded the corner he saw the moving blond run into an alley and he chased after her as well.

As Andy would have turned the corner he would have immediately seen a bright flash of light, an explosion following shortly after. The large figure that had followed the lady into the alley had first been shot backwards.
The young woman herself was seen only briefly, sparks around her slowly disappearing and determining her the source of what had to be a spell she used against her pursuer; she watched the man take his fall but stayed no longer than she had to, turning quickly on her heels and running off again.
"You can't run from us! We'll find you, girlie!" the beast of a man bellowed as he recovered fairly quickly, getting to his feet with his sword and ready to give chase again.

Andy watched for a second in amazement as this fight happened before the woman and the man took off, that spell may not have been one he'd seen before but he recognized the magic signature. It was definitely Jasmine. What's she doing being chased? Andy thought briefly, about to chase after them when he got a better idea. He decided to cut them off, he knew enough of Ardeo City to know one shortcut. He ran down the alleys from the buildings across from them before, crouching low, and jumping up on top of a building. He waited for a second... Come on...turn left... he thought, watching Jasmine and the man run, and luckily she did turn left. I knew it, I seemed to notice she's a fan of left turns...must be an Allorum thing. He shrugged. He timed his leap and jumped from the building, landing in between Jasmine and the man. The sleeveless cloak Griever presented him when he returned fluttered in the wind, and made him look more mysterious. He stood up to full height, his back to Jasmine while facing this guy. He lifted his hand and held up five fingers. "Five seconds. That's all you get to run away, five seconds." |

The man charged along, his sword at the ready to strike down the stupid young fellow who'd just dropped down in front of him.
"You have less than that to get out of my way," he growled.
Where the large man didn't cease his movements, Jasmine stopped when she peered behind her and saw the fiery-haired man separating them in the alley. She saw his back, his figure, his hair, and even his voice seemed only too familiar...
But she couldn't pass full judgement yet. Especially not in a time like this. Readying a spell herself she stuck a fair distance behind Andy and prepared to aid him when attacked.

Andy could draw his two Daitos, but he figured a bigger sword would be better. He took out his old cleaver blade and blocked his attack, without even flinching from the recoil.
"Didn't you hear what I said...? I said you should have been running filthy swine!" He shoved the man back and kicked him in the stomach.

The man really wasn't expecting a, well, any kind of an attack so sudden from the younger man. Especially one that could send his huge body flying so easily. He crashed into a wall and struggled to get himself back to his feet, unimpressed growls from him travelling down the alleyway. Another man, a taller and thinner one with pale hair suddenly turned the corner with an axe and gave his comrade a shocked stare before looking at Andy.
"What the hell is going on here? Where'd he come from?" he asked only briefly before yelling over Andy to Jasmine, "so you didn't come alone?! And Armando said not to worry about you..."
Jasmine's eyes narrowed, her voice quickly snapping back, "You don't know anything about me! Nor does 'Armando'!"
Her small wrist flicked forward and the ground beneath them rumbled, a thin rupturing snaked its way towards the two strange men, the end exploding into a burst of fire on the both of them. The larger one had barely enough time to shield his face before being burned severely, though the taller one danced out of the attack with minimal burns.
He twirled his axe and took a run at both Andy and Jasmine then, shouting, "He knows a lot more than you think!" The large man stumbled back to his feet and followed a few moments behind him, sword raised for a downwards strike the moment he got close.

Andy saw one guy heading from one end, and the other guy coming at him from the other side. They were boxed in that's for sure, he couldn't fight without worrying about Jasmine. So he opted for a more clever solution, he grabbed Jasmine, wrapping an arm around her waist and leaping in the air with her. Running alongside one of the buildings he took his cleaver sword and stabbed it in the wall, dragging it across the wall and causing rubble to spill and fall down. He dragged it until a line of rubble was falling towards both men who were converging to the same spot, he leaped in the streets out of the alley and looked back as the rubble fell, shooting out small clouds of gray dust as they landed.

Jasmine held on tight as they took off atop of the buildings and back down into the streets. So many memories suddenly came flooding back to her feeling Andy's arm around her and damn his muscles had gotten bigger and she couldn't even explain what she was feeling right now and leading her out of danger...again.
She was silent for the few moments that they waited to see anything rise from the debris; nothing came aside from the sound of what seemed to be one of the men (probably the thinner one) yelling out in pain. If they weren't dead then they weren't leaving the scene for awhile either. Jasmine let out a small giggle as she eyed the sight.
"Impressive," she said, her eyes travelling upwards to meet her hero's. Her hood had fallen off in their escape, revealing longer blonde hair tied in a loose braid. She still had the Griever necklace on her as well. And she really didn't waste much more time after that to suddenly lunge in for a deep, fierce kiss, throwing her arms around him tightly in a...'fashionable' greeting.

Andy looked back to check and saw his strategy had worked, "You're saf-mmph!"
He was cut off by Jasmine's sudden kiss, not that he was complaining. Once he was finished he broke apart from her and looked at her closely.
"Your hair got longer," he said, "Not that I'm one to talk..."

Jasmine giggled again, examining every little feature about him that was different since she'd last seen him. She let her hands run through his hair and allowed a finger to follow his jawbone as she said, "Yes, it has gotten longer. I missed it being long, though I've missed you a lot more than I've missed my hair."
She stole a glance back at the rubble and then off to her left as she quickly said, "Oh...y-you know, maybe we should get out of here before more of them show up. Home is in the Atoll city for now, I really need to get out of Ardeo. Unless you were needing to be somewhere else here, we can definitely catch up along the way, right?" she added in a wink and a playful smile as she said this.

He shuddered when her finger caressed his jawline, she definitely seemed more...flirty than she used to be. It'll take some time to get used to that's for sure. But he agreed on getting out of there, nodding.
"Yeah, lead the way." he said, thinking back to the fight...who was Armando? And what has Jasmine done to get these men mad at her?

Jasmine nodded, keeping her eye out for anyone she'd recognize as an enemy as she lead the way through the busy streets again. At least now she didn't have to go through this alone, it made it much easier to have someone else's help.
"I'm sorry that this isn't the most favourable way for us to meet up; had I known you were coming back anytime soon I'd have just stayed at home," she spoke as they pushed their way out of the main gates of Ardeo City, "it would have been much better, that's for sure. How has Earth been?"

"What did those men want from you?" he asked, the question burning on his mind more and more with each step they took. Finally when they were out of main gates he felt he could ask the question more freely.

"Well, that's a bit of a long story..." Jasmine said sheepishly as they travelled along the main road towards the Atoll. As they walked (and had the time) she slowly unravelled the entire tale.
"Let's start at the beginning where there were stories going about that one of the smaller towns near Ardeo suddenly had a water shortage. As it turns out, Papa was looking into it himself and I paid close attention to the information he'd gathered. This very rich and powerful man by the name of Armando Delisk was very strongly suspected of actually stealing the town's water supply and using it to sell back to the people at a very high price--"
Jasmine narrowed her eyes suddenly, "--and when I say 'strongly suspected' I mean it's the truth and everyone knew it, it's just when you don't have the hard enough evidence to take down a man like that it's nigh impossible to do anything about it. Nevertheless I was given the message through my meditations that 'Armando is a very horrible man and must be stopped' and 'the people in that town will die before justice is served'."
"So...I came to Ardeo, snuck onto his estate and dismantled the thing hoarding all of that town's water--as we speak it should already be running back into their supply freely. I felt proud, I was a real hero~!" she announced very proudly before suddenly her facial features and shoulders drooped embarrassingly, "...and then his henchmen grabbed me. When they took me to Armando and explained to him the situation he merely laughed; thankfully he was looking for 'the person who destroyed his operation' and completely disregarded me as any kind of threat, he thought his men brought me in as a joke. Yet for some reason he wasn't going to let me go so I channelled a spirit, took out the guards, and ran for my life! They tried to stop me and in my fight to get off of his property to begin with I...I think I accidentally burnt down some of his house..."
Jasmine's eye twitched, her sheepish grin showing up again as she finished her story with, "I had to get out of Ardeo and quick. Some of them managed to follow me. Then you showed up! So, what's new with you?!"
