Kara sat on the throne in the main ballroom of her families once proud and bustling castle. Her eyes lay closed as she played a gentle tune on her violin. The song was one of slow pace and long notes that told a story of loneliness and longing. She wondered in her head where her strong warrior love could be.

Gensayce walked from behind a pillar with a smile on his face, he was not in his usual armour instead opting to wear a more casual tunic and trousers, silently he walked up behind the throne and placed a hand on Kara's shoulder "I never hear you play anything happy" he muttered in her ear with a small smile

She jumped slightly at the voice so close to her, but recognized it immediately. "Gensayce! You've returned!" Without a second thought she dropped the violin to the floor and flung her arms around his neck and pressed him into a fierce hug. "I save all my happy songs for when you are here at my side."

Gensayce smiled, wrapping his arms around Kara's waist returning the hug "Well then I'd love to hear one some time!" he said closing his eyes simply happy to be back "The fight was horrible..." he muttered quietly

She stood up on her toes to kiss his lips gently. "But it's over now. You can relax and just stay here with me. All is well." A hand moved from his neck to touch his cheek as she smiled up at him. Nothing made her happier then having him back.

He nodded "Relaxing sounds really, really good right now" he said with a brief chuckle as he rested his head against Kara's "I don't think I've had a rest since back in Crepusculum!" he added yawning slightly before kissing the top of her head.

Kara giggled at his cuteness and nuzzled gently into his chest. "C'mon let's go to a more comfortable room." She grabbed onto his hand and pulled him down the hallway. They went into a room with a much more relaxing atmosphere. There was a roaring fireplace and soft couches spread about the vacinity. "This's much better!"

Gensayce smiled at the warm scene in front of him, feeling it was his turn to take the lead he pulled Kara towards one of the couches nearest to the fire, sitting down he dragged her with him into his chest where he held her in a hug "I've missed the cold of Ghiaccio..." He spoke quietly before gently moving a hand across her cheek "Yet I've missed your warmth"

Tears came to her eyes at his words. "I've missed the safety of your arms around me. The dangers of this world seem far away when you are near." This icey palace was less of a home without the one person she had left to love in it.

Gensayce couldn't help but laugh as she spoke before wiping a tear from the corner of her eye "My arms are going nowhere now" he promised her, his expression serious "My oath restarts now, both me and my spear follow you wherever you go" he kissed her forehead "From now on my place is with you"

"I will gladly have you by my side now and forever. In return I will always be here, doing my best to make you happy everyday. Though it will never be enough to repay you for all the happiness you've already given me." She smiled at him with all the gratitude in the world. He'd given her back all the love she'd lost over the past 100 years.

"If you're here, I'm happy" he said assertivley as he rested his head against the arm of the couch and watched the flames dancing nearby. Still holding Kara he couldn't help but smile "Besides, I do not see myself being much happier than I am right now" his eyes seemed almost transfixed on the oranges and yellows that were crackling together in the fire

Kara layed her head down on his chest and listened to his heart beat steadily. She giggled at how easy he was to please. "You know, now that I think about I don't think I've ever seen you not wearing your armor. It's nice." That made her giggle even more.

"And here I am not wearing it..." he said smiling slightly "Actually if I remember rightly, I didn't wear my cuirass after we fought Taggert not too long ago, and I didn't wear my cuirass or gauntlets whilst we were in Crepusculum kingdom either" his right hand was laid behind his head whilst his left rested gently against the back of Kara's neck gently stroking it with his thumb

Kara slowly rubbed her hand over his stomach, smiling to herself. "It doesn't matter what you are wearing, as long you are here." She leaned her head up to kiss his lips sweetly. "It does not make a diffrerence to me what those conservatives say, I love you. Though I'm sure they'll have you trying to steal our family's wealth in their stories within the fortnight." Her expression turned bitter at the thought.
