As Sayara squeezed his hand, Vash looked down at her, a shocked expression on his face.
Now that he was more in touch with his powers, he could feel it - how tired she was, how drained.
"No wonder," he said, turning towards her, then kneeling down to her level. He didn't care what the enemies thought; he had enough reflexes to take whatever they threw at him. "Don't worry, lil sis," he told her. "I'll protect you." He hugged her briefly, then stood, turning back to the fight - or, more specifically, where Volk was restrained - or, rather, where he'd no longer be restrained in a few short moments.

Amadeus watched as Juno was panicking, and sighed. "Clarie, maybe this isn't the best time to be discussing this in front of our enemies." He whispered to her. He pulled his fist out of his pocket and pointed at the group.

"What?" Yeligar shouted as he heard that line about no more Alloruiams. He pointed his lance at Claire, and glared at her. "What are you talking about?" He normally didn't threaten women, but if mass destruction was being plotted, he couldn't be chivalrous.

"We will remove the Alloruiams from this world and make room for our Ketulunian brothers and sisters." she looked at the Crystal Shade gave her, "The Sky Hook will purge everything..."
She looked down, "How could you Juno...after everything I did for you, I took you in...and you betray us for them?"

"But...I..." Juno didn't know what to say, however it seemed like the Shade did.
"Milady..." Shade began. "It seems you and I have a common goal...I shall like to help you, to achieve the goal of purging this world."
Claire didn't know how to answer at first, she looked at Juno and at Shade...before nodding at the masked man. "Alright then."
Cyrus had the expression of shock on his face, Juno's hands went to her mouth, Eli's eyes narrowed.
"Shade!" Eli yelled as the others began vanishing.
"Next time...I hope to see Roxa," he empathized the name. "Maybe in Ketalunanox."
Shade vanished and Claire looked back, she saw Seth in the crowd and glared at him for a moment before vanishing as well. Juno's knees fell into the snow and she began to cry.

"I became this strong..." Ave muttered "FOR NOTHING?!" magic flared up in his hands as he swatted away the barriers that bound him and took on his full posture, swords once more levitating behind his back as he stood over Juno "Where are they headed?" he asked, no one was going to draw him out and then just dissapear straight afterwards "Oh I don't even know why I'm asking!" he added to the end ofhis question as he shook his head, he knew where they were going. But he knew he wouldn't get there in time.
Roxa, had one arm free, and was continuously pounding the chain that held his other arm in a crucified position, he needed to break free, for everyone's sake, Ave was out of control even by this demons standards and it wouldn't be long until he did something drastic at this rate and force the hand of his friends "Gotta'. Break. Free..." he muttered to himself as he slammed his fist into the chain, again and again.

The barrier finally shattered from the pressure from within. Volkmar walked out, but he was extremely pissed, for he couldn't see Xiza. "YOU DAMN BASTARDS!" He shouted towards the group, " TAKE THIS!" He crossed his sword, and swung down. This time a massive star shape arc headed towards the group, creating large cuts on the ground and ice below it like nothing. Volkmar just turned around, and ran towards the west, at an alarming speed.

"Hey!" Kouichi shouted, stepping forward. "Whoever you are, get away from her!" He flicked the protective sheath off of his naginata, glaring at Ave. "Go off at that jerk all you like," he continued, gesturing towards where the Shade had been standing, "but leave that girl alone!"
He turned back toward Eli slightly, giving him a pointed look and nodding towards where Juno sat.
The girl would need a friend; and seeing as she'd done this all for Eli, it made sense that that friend should be him.

Yeligar watched as they left, trying to figure out what was the 'sky hook', when he heard Volkmar escaping, and sending the massive attack towards the group. He jumped over, and pressed the red blade in.
"Solarguard!" A massive sheild of light was made right before the attack hit the group. He held his ground, and then he managed to flip it so it when away from the group, destroying the ground nearby. Yeligar then put his lance away, then he wrapped his hand, and walked back towards the group.
"We should head towards Ketulunanox." He said, "Shade hinted it, but its the only lead we have."

Vash was next to Yeligar by the tim the Warlord blocked the attack. He watched the retreating shape of Volkmar, then looked back at the group, torn.
But he had to stop the rampaging Knight. His eyes went to where his coat lay on the ground, then to the bound cross in his hand. He looked back up at the group, until his eyes found his little sister.
He turned, walked back oer to her.
"Sayara," he said, "listen to me. I had... I had no idea that things were so bad. And I know... he's your student, you're his trainer... but right now, this isn't something you can fix. Take care of my coat, okay? I won't need it when I go after him."
He stood. "And that's just what I'm going to do."

"Ok... Vash." Sayara said as she took Vash's coat. She gripped it tight out of fear and confusion. "Please don't get hurt Vash." She walked back towads Tidus and slipped on the coat.

He was about to protest, but then smiled.
Maybe that would help after all...
"I'll see you all when you get there, alright?" he called, grinning. Then, he ran off; in the distance, a flash of light could be seen, a wave of expended Lunar energy reaching them a moment later - and Vash was gone.

Ave looked at Kouichi's weapon and scoffed "Point that somewhere else kid" he growled as he walked away from Juno, dammit he needed to get to Ketulunanox but he knew he'd never make the journey in time... Especially consi-
Ave looked down with a shocked expression his seal was receding, slowly but surely it was heading backwards "Gods damn you Roxa Sairen..." he growled as he looked around "I thought I'd sealed you away for good!" he flexed his fingers before taking a deep breath, he needed his composure as well as a calm head if he was going to think this through properly. If he surrendered control to Roxa now, not only would he be injured enough to make him susceptible to control at a later date, the seal would probably hold him back a bit longer when Ave did take control, hell, it might work properly and even lock his dear brother away for good! So that was the plan, he would let Roxa win this time rather than waste energy holding him back, but he'd wait until this Shade guy beat him to a pulp, and then strike whilst the iron was hot "I'm a genius!" he roared aloud.
Roxa gave up pounding on the chain and simply hung his head down in shame at being unable to break loose, but then he felt something, a twinge of loss coming from Ave, was this his chance? He felt renewed and continued his beating against the chain. He was so close to being free again, then he could rectify whatever horrors it was that Ave had caused.
