It was then, Ina only nodded at Leeith, sitting down whilst putting a smoking stick in her mouth, not lit, but simply to have it. She sat near her position, and closed her eyes. They were both from the same area of lifestyle, and in fact, had comparable 'career' choices, as she looked over at Leeith.
..She motioned her hands to her, to offer her apologies for intruding, and simply started to meditate with her, and slowly concocting small bombs made of a special type of paper, and fuses, which would create large flashes of light: It was a simple process of crushing the paper and threading the fuse through it.

The swordsman finished tightening up the last of the knots. The labor had been slightly tedious, but the knots were not overly complex; he had handled it without too much trouble. "...All taken care of." He'd been observing the others from his position amidst the upper rigging, but now that his task was finished, he decided it was best to come back down. He carefully scaled down the rigging and dropped back onto the deck. "..." The swordsman saw Ayalan isolate himself from the group. He was stabbing a dagger repeatedly into one of the ship's guardrails - it seemed like an outward manifestation of nervousness. It seemed to be an unusual thing for Ayalan, who had remained fairly collected up until this point. - "...Having second thoughts?" The swordsman leaned back against the guardrail and looked down a ways to where Ayalan was chipping away with his weapon. He noticed that Ayalan had a book as well...

Ayalan looked aside suddenly at Rutger, grinning at him for a bit.
"Never do. I'm a man of action." He said it softly, as he continued with the chipping away, and then stabbed it firmly into the ship now, the blade covered in a leather strap for a grip, as he looked back at Rutger.
"This plan will work. Of That I am certain, right now, I'm more wary of the fact that Ina is aboard...for my own reasons," Aya said it lightly; his journal had the plan in it, as well as a drawing of what seemed to be a girl, but it was neither his current love interest or his sister: A date of birth and expiration was written next to it, as he looked aside to Rutger.
"You ever lose a loved one?" He finally admitted, glancing aside.
"I mean..it's been years but I still think back to those times."

Caramel blinked. "Really? It'll make that big an impact?" Well, perhaps this was more exciting than she thought. Although, she had changed her mind twice in the past couple hours...it could very well change again.
She rolled her eyes at Rutger, and his tying the lines up and whatnot. "I could have done that..." She thought. But then again, she did get distracted easily. A small fact of her character that she often overlooked.
She nodded at Aya and Allowed him to have a few minutes alone. She began humming, before saying something in elvish. As she spoke, bright orange and yellow swirls of magic surrounded her hand and with a flick of her fingers, the magic dissapeared and a glowing yellow-orange orb of light sat beside her, giving off a bit of a glow.
"In case you need some extra light." She spoke, directing the statement at Aya.

Leeith nodded at Ina, allowing her intrusion, and closed her eyes, cutting off all connections to the outside world. She did not focus on the conversatinos or actions occuring around her, although she was aware of them. But if any of them got too close she would be able to react almost as quickly as she would be able to standing up.
She focused on the currents of air around them, carefully manipulating a stronger wind into the sails. She was anxious to quicken their journey, but only did this once in a while, to excercise her skill without draining her energy.

The swordsman's glance danced over to Caramel upon her approach. He then looked around to keep an eye on where the others were, but for the moment it was relatively quiet on deck. "..." The swordsman remained quiet for a while, thinking about what Ayalan said. He closed his eyes, as if straining carefully for the right words. "...I understand what you are saying. I know what it's like." The words were simple, and yet they seemed surprisingly heavy. The swordsman's response betrayed a hint of his own past. Keeping his arms crossed, he looked up at Ayalan again. "However...it is important that we do not forget such things." The swordsman gave a small nod. He turned his head slightly to observe Caramel's flickering light and remained quiet once more. "..." The swordsman could feel the strong breeze blowing from the sea. They were quite an unusual group, certainly. However, the crew's course had been set... and now they all would have to follow through.

Aya smirked at Rutger's slight honesty at the least, as he looked aside, shaking his head for a bit, finally sheathing his dagger, as he closed his book. "I suppose we all have to deal with our own problems. Be they personal demons or something worse," he had started, as he reposed himself to be strong again, speaking back upon seeing the light, "Thank you, Caramel!" Aya's soft voice came back, "But you know Rutger..some things are better off left ...how to say it.. forgotten." Ayalan turned away for a bit, looking out at the sea. "Of course..it seems my personal demons are following me now." He looked back at Ina, meditating with Leeith: he then looked back to Rutger, nodding at him. "I suppose we should plan our attack for shore. It starts very soon."

The swordsman paused for a moment; he couldn't put his finger on it, but he'd found there to be something unusually chilling about Ayalan's words. The swordsman had a cursory knowledge of Ayalan's past - a bit had been disclosed during their encounter at Ghiacco - but he had a sense that there was more to this warrior than met the eye. "..." The swordsman nodded back to Ayalan. They. each had their own reasons for fighting... but now it was time to prepare for the battle that lay ahead of them. "...I am ready when you are." The swordsman kept his back against the cabin wall and looked around at the others. Hopefully the rest of them were all prepared as well... they would have to work cohesively as a group if they wanted to succeed.

Leeith stood gracefully and walked to where they were, releasing the winds she'd been manipulating. Opening the gates to let the prisoners through was a simple task, but she had a feeling that it would be more complicated than that. "And after the prisoners are released- what then?" She had been giving it much though during their journey for lack of something better to do and considered many outcomes of the upcoming battle. "Not all change is good. Many of the prisoners were jailed for good reasons- you truely intend to release them all?"
Her words echoed Ina's concerns, though for far different reasons.

"Good question," Aya said softly under his own breath, as he put the journal underneath his vest, and turned around, motioning toward the other three in the group.
"Every plan has its risks and rewards, but these people still all want freedom, so you tell me: " He extended his hand out to Leeith.
"How do you suppose these people get off the island? We know there's only one way out. So we have our patrolling boats taking care of those trying to escape their evil whelms. All we need is an army and we're gaining it through illegitimate ways.
However, from there, it'll be our own personal judgment that will see who is just and who is not." Aya put his hands in his pockets, "But at the very least, the short term goal here is to take the island for our own ruling."
He put his hands over each other, crossed as he pointed to Chalybs, Way off in the distance, but the giant tower was still a sign that hours separated the two.
"I suppose we've got some prep to do." He walked down into the cargo hold, where he started to get cannons ready.

- [Pray For Victory]The swordsman listened to Ayalan without saying anything. He watched as the warrior descended into the cargo hold. "..." Once Ayalan had disappeared belowdecks, the swordsman walked towards the bow of the ship. He fixed his sights on the island in the distance and once again began to polish his Killing Edge with the edge of his red robes. "...The trial awaits us." He felt the ocean's breeze at his back, ushering the ship closer to their destined battle.
