Twilight Night *Volk, Incendia, Tidus, Yuna*

[Volkmar Gamlxltoe]

Volkmar looked at Tidus, and then sighed, "Fine, I guess. I mean we got 2 gunners, and 2 swordsmen. It would be like back in the days..." He looked around, and noticed bright lights in the distance.
"Ah crap. Looks like a storm is coming." He said.

[Yuna Kaname]

She shrugged. "Fine, Tidus. You're right. I changed, and you didn't. And that's okay; everything changes. But I didn't come to bring you back. Maybe I should never have come at all; I see everything I was worried about was for nothing. You know everything, nothing is wrong. I should just go back where I came from because you've got your friends and you don't need us anymore. Doesnt' matter that Rikku misses you something awful, and Ben's worried sick about whether or not you're okay, or that you haven't spoken a single word to any of us in years! Because you've got your new friends, so your old ones don't matter anymore."

She turned away, blinking back tears. "You're wrong. It's not me that's changed; it's not High Summoner Yuna who's gone, who's left. The man who I was proud to have as my Guardian, who I loved more than anything in Gaia and Spira combined, is the one who's gone forever. He'd never give up on his friends, old or new, no matter what happened. I don't know where Tidus Kuroda went, but you're not the person I thought I was jumping into that portal to meet. I really am stupid, aren't I? I guess I thought... there was still some of him left to find. I wish you had disappeared for good on that day. At least then I wouldn't have had my heart broken twice."

[Tidus]

He froze in his stance, uncaring of the growing storm behind him.

"...I never gave up on anyone. Ever. For the past year I have been hoping for the day that you and him call for my help again, but I was not needed. Not once. You all handled everything on your own, and never called me in once. The fact I haven't spoken to anyone in a year? Goes both ways. Once you all got your little positions in SeeD it was out in the old, in with the new. Once I got transferred out, bam...I was officially out of everyone's hair."

He sighed, "I never even gave up on you. But you know what? I wish what you said was true, I wish I did."

He was about to walk away when he stopped and said, "Oh yeah, and my name is Tidus. Not Tidus Kuroda. Always has been, always will be."

[Yuna Kaname]

"He's got a name, too, Tidus. They both do. Major Benji James Powell, and Angel, also known as Headmaster Liam Jacob Bayloh. And maybe we'd've stayed in touch if you hadn't acted like we were spitting on you every time we walked by. It's not my fault you changed, or didn't. But the facts are the facts; I loved the man you were, but you're not that man, or maybe I'm not the woman who loved you. It doesn't matter. Things are different now. We can't stop that, Tidus. The one thing none of us can stop is change. But you... can't seem to see that."

[Tidus]

"..If I'm not that man you cared about then why did you even follow me through that portal. If I was such an anti social brat why did you even care enough to follow me, couldn't you see that I was thrilled to be in that portal? If you're not here to bring me back or find me then you shouldn't have followed me."

"But you did. So...why?" he asked, "If it's not for the things you said then what could you have possibly followed me for? Was it to yell at me about how I changed, or refused to, and how I was never there at all for you guys ('total bullshit' he muttered)?"

[Yuna Kaname]

Sheshot a glare at him over her shoulder. "I came because I was worried about you! I shouldn't have bothered." SHe turned back and started to leave, before stopping, struggling wtih her emotions. "I thought maybe... maybe things would be different. But I've always been stupid, haven't I?"

Then she did leave, without a backwards glance, although unbeknownst to the others, she stopped just at the bottom of the hill, out of sight.

So much for a thousand words calling out through the ages, she thought bitterly to herself as she sank down into the grass. I united a nation... why is this so difficult?

[Volkmar Gamlxltoe]

"Shouldn't you tell ya girlfriend to stay close?" Volkmar asked Tidus, "You know monsters normally move during storms, and they get extremely pissed off, and hungry." He picked up his swords and put them away. "VASH, DID YOU EAT ALL OF THE PASTRIES?!"

[Tidus]

"She's not my girlfriend...not anymore," Tidus said, knowing he would have to explain to Volk what happened from her being the girl he always talked about to the girl he can't stand even mentioning. Then he felt something zoom past him, he looked back and saw a slender creature zoom down the hill. Suddenly Volk's last comment before yelling at Vash had more meaning than before, he charged down the hill and sure enough he saw the creature charging for Yuna.

"Come on, come on!" he said as he pumped his legs to move faster, but no luck came with that so he did an alternate plan: he leaped in the air with Brotherhood pointing straight down. Using gravity his fall was much quicker than it would be, right before the creature could pounce on Yuna his sword landed on it's mid-section. Cutting it completely in half.

The roars from around them though assumed there were more creatures around than just this one.

[Yuna Kaname]

She turned backward in surprise, ready to thank her savior, then stepped back in a small bit of shock, hastily wiping tears from her face, as she realized who that savior was.

"T-Tidus?" she asked, a little surprised. "You.... you saved me."

[Volkmar Gamlxltoe]

Volkmar ran up after Tidus only to see the creature killed. "Damn, you use to have just the speed. Looks like you have gotten some more strength than last time." Volkmar said as he put his swords away.

[Yuna Kaname]

Yuna nodded. "You have gotten stronger," she told Tidus quietly. "Thank you."

[Tidus]

Tidus was, well, a little caught off guard by the comments. Especially Yuna's considering they just had a giant fight five seconds ago. He was cut off when the roars continued, he narrowed his eyes at the woods next to them. He drew Caldablog with his other hand and held them in a two handed style, soon three creatures shot out toward them. He ran at them, he threw both blades at the two, the spinning blades cut into them and they both fell. Cut apart with one stroke, the third did a different tactic. It leaped in the air and tried to pounce on him, Tidus's eyes widened and he summoned Brotherhood as the creature landed on top of him. He was sent skidding through the dirt, the creature on top of them. At first none of the bodies moved, it was hard to tell who was dead. Then the creature's body stirred...

...and was pushed off by Tidus, Brotherhood still impaled in the creature's chest.

[Volkmar Gamlxltoe]

"TIDUS!" Volkmar shouted as his hand on one of the hilt, as he walked towards him. "YOU JUST CAN'T TAKE ALL OF THE KILLS!" He sighed and looked at the upcoming storm, the lightning seems to have been striking like crazy across the country side. "This doesn't look like something we can just wait in the rain to end. I think there is some caves over there" He pointed to a hill in the distance.

[Incendia Presul]

Incendia had been standing there quietly for the conversation, watching the girl, Yuna, and Tidus argue speak. She had drawn her swords when the monsters showed up but didn't attack, since she wasn't very concerned about them right now. When Volkmar said they should get to the caves she finally spoke up.
"He's right, let's get out of here..." She said as she stepped closer to Volk, quietly adding so only he would hear, "We need to talk."

[Volkmar Gamlxltoe]

"Oh..." Volkmar said as he looked at Incendia. Something was different about her, he couldn't figure what it was, but he followed her away from the others. "Hmmm, you seem different." He said as he looked at her body.
