The cave inside brought in warmth from the fires they made to warm up, to keep safe and sheltered from the cold rains that hammered outside earlier. But the rains had gone and past now, just the wet moist air of the leftover water drops that enriched the plants. A quiet morning for the tired travelers in the cave.
...but as a stranger made his way across the field, the small water droplets began to freeze solid. The air turned cold, the warmth sucked away by this stranger...and as he stopped in front of the cave a cold chill came in and snuffed the last bits of their fire.

Volkmar was not in the cave, he was against a tree about 100 yards away from the cave. He was too angry to return to the rest of the group. He felt a chill down his back, and woke up. He saw a person in front of the cave, and then he yawned. He fell back against the tree, and started to doze off again.

Tidus awoke from the cold chill that suddenly passed through the cave, he noticed the fire had went out and wondered if it smothered out during the night. He got up from the cave and decided he was gonna head out for firewood, as he passed by the cave he saw that Volkmar was still not here. He's eyes darted over to Incendia, who was giving most of the blankets just to be safe and his eyes narrowed.
Damn you Volk...
He gave a sigh and was about to leave when the cold chill came again, but this time it made every nerve in Tidus's body go on high alert. He had a bad feeling about this, and because of this he went over to Yuna and Incendia and gently woke them up.
"Guys, come on wake up..." he said, his tinged on the edge of worry and anxiety.

She wok quickly, as SeeD training and her days of traveling Spira had made her a light sleeper.
"Tidus?" she asked, once she'd sat up. "What's wrong?"

Incendia had finally fallen asleep... But only stayed that way for about fifteen minutes before Tidus woke her up.
"This had better be good.." she muttered sleepily as she opened one eye to look at him, then both as she realized the fire had gone out and it was suddenly colder.
"Who put the fire out?"

"I don't know...it was like that when I woke up..." Tidus said, edging to entrance of the cave slowly. He saw something out there in the mist...but before he could identify the shape as inky black line shot out and slammed against Tidus, pushing him against the ceiling and sticking him to it. "What the-"
Before he continued speaking black lines shot out of the ground and wrapped themselves around the arms of Yuna and Incendia.

From the deep mist an elderly man walked in, bald headed, a scraggly goatee and yellow eyes. His back hunched over as he walked over to them, looking at the three of them.
"Now...which one is it?" he wondered out loud, looking at Yuna and Incendia. "Which one of you two is the one the Black Moon warrior adores?"

Incendia glared at the man.
"Who are you and what do you think you're doing? Do you know who I am?!" she yelled, something not very easy to accomplish considering how sick she suddenly felt.

Cyrus turned to Incendia and a poisonous smile spread across his face, yellowed teeth showed as he walked over to her. "Why of course I do my dear!"
More black tendrils wrapped around her securely, he grabbed one of them and lifted her up with it. "You...are my bait."

Tidus eyes widened as Cyrus approached her, he began fighting his bonds. Desperate to keep the old man distracted he yelled at the top of his lungs. "LEAVE HER ALONE YOU BASTARD!
He fought against the ropes, trying to use the sharper edges of his gauntlet to cut the tendrils that had him wrapped up.

Cyrus raised an eyebrow at Tidus, still stuck on the top of the cave and scoffed. Completely ignoring the teen and dragging Incendia outside the cave, ignoring Tidus's protests.

"HEY PUT ME DOWN I SWEAR I AM GOING TO CUT YOU INTO SO MANY PIECES!!!" Incendia screamed, still struggling and glaring at him, though neither really did much to help.
