Kouji looked at it, examined it, tried to pull it out.
"Hmmm... seems like it's stuck. I wonder if there's a trick to it or something?" He tossed it back. "You can use it as a staff or a club until you figure it out, though." He readied his staff. "I've missed this..." he mumbled happily.

"I guess..." He said, as he got at a ready stance, kinda nervous that he will get his ass handed to him by this boy with a lot more experience than he had. "Alright... I am ready."

"Alright." Navarre said as he then charged at Kouji, with the sword at his side, and then charged at him, jumping and landing his blade on Kouji's staff.

Kouji turned the staff, moving aside Navarre's blow.
"You're aiming for me, not the staff; that's the first thing movies always get wrong. Come on, let's do it again!"

Eli's rage mode faded out when the reserve energy faded, when it did Eli fell to his knees and began to pant heavily. As he was Seth walked over to him, gently grabbed the back of his shirt and moved him out of the shade of the trees and into the moonlight. The Crepusculum moon was showing and suddenly Eli felt his energy replenish. He looked up at Seth, who was still wincing from Eli's blow to the chest.

Seth pointed to the Crepusculum moon and began to explain, "Lunar Knights can only go into a Berserk mode as long as they have energy, under the presence of their respective moon they can gather energy and become stronger. They can also store this up so they can go berserk mode even in bright daylight. You've hit your reserves though, now you need to replenish if you want to go into your berserk state again."
He walked off to the sides and called over his shoulder, "That means breaktime kid, enjoy it."

"What a jerk!" Leah scoffed, watching the training with Jasmine as Andy and the others were getting camp set up for all of them. "Knocking around a kid like that, how is that supposed to help!?"

Jasmine frowned as she was rummaging through her bags, "I do agree Mr. Dezari's methods are a bit extreme...but you know you and Eli are around the same age right?"
She stood up, examining some items she retrieved from the monsters.

"Pff, this is nothing." Volkmar said to them, as he lean backed up, and wiped his jacket off. "This would have been a picnic with the hell I had to do for training, and that was just regular berserking."

Leah turned to Volkmar and glared at him, "Be that as it may, he's only fifteen! That kind of training his brutal!"
She looked at Eli who was brushing off the dust and dirt from his coat and pants. "I mean, look at him...if it was Andy training him I'd be comfortable with it."

Navarre jumped back, and took a deep breath, All right, aim for him. Not the weapon... His legs look open... Navarre ran at him, but right before he got too close, he got lowered and then swiped at Kouji's legs.

Jasmine looked at Leah , "I think Andy would be an excellent trainer, I mean he's learned from someone whose trained him equally as great. I think he could...but Seth is a Lunar Knight, Andy is not, it's better Eli learn from him."
Jasmine was a little surprised at Leah's sudden vote of confidence for Andy, but it wasn't totally unusual for Andy had this way with people that got them to trust him.

Vash, who'd been watching (unusually) quietly for some time, turned his face up to the moon and smiled. "Don't wory," he told Eli in a tone a far cry from his usual goofball silliness. "You'll do just fine; after all, you were chosen for a reason. I think she made a good choice." He sat down on the grass next to Eli, nodding towards the moon to indicate who he meant.
