From within the walls of Nachtundtag the sounds of jubilation could be heard from far and wide. Bands played and people laughed and cheered as performers moved through the city's streets. It had been spread through the entire kingdom that today was a special day, one that marked the end to a long and terrible reign by a terrible man. Today was the one year passing of Trucido's fall, and Queen Milicia had invited all of her people as well as those that had aided the cause for a day of celebration.
The city had moved in leaps and bounds in its efforts to repair its city since the final battle, and between her own people and the Millennium Order it looked almost as good as it had been one year ago. The city's walls were all but repaired save for a portion in the eastern wall, and many of the homes and places of business were rebuilt from the ground up.
There were many festivities spread throughout all of Nachtundtag. To the north side a large space had been cleared for a tournament of warriors to test their skills in combat, all for the prize of gold and a magical blade said to conjure the power of fire from it's blade.
To the south a parade moved through the streets, accompanied by performers, magicians and Queen Milicia. As they travelled the mages sent sparks of fire into the air and used their skills to dazzle onlookers. Off from the parade was a large play recounting the epic of the Heroes and the Sumata and several contests for guests to play.
The west side held a bevy of food stuffs for sale, and in the middle a crowd slowly gathered near an open stage that had people in the deep blue cloaks of the Millennium Order dash back and forth preparing for the presence of Sabin.
The day was still early, and Queen Milicia could not be more pleased with how smoothly things were going so far. Yet as she sat in her carriage and waved to the onlookers, little did she know that the peace of the festival would not last.
(Note: The city is huge and as such I've separated the city into three threads depending on what characters want to do. Any posts in here will be for characters that are just wandering or aren't in any of the three areas. Obviously any character can move freely from place to place as they wish.)

Zeke stared in awe along one of the center streets within Nachtundtag. It had been one of the first places he had come to after the battle with Trucido, and the difference between then and now had startled him. Back where he lived, it seemed doing something as simple as fixing a bridge seemed to take half a year.
"It seems magic really does have science beat when it comes to construction, that's for sure." He said to himself as he moved past a few folks heading towards the south side of the city. No one would have paid him much mind after all, as he had ditched his soldier gear and come dressed in his simplest attire. Only a sheathed blade that hung on his hip gave any indication he was any besides a simple citizen of the land.
Well, that and the King of Santo-Luce that he walked right beside. Looking to Alex with a smile half hidden by his beard he asked, "So milord, where would you like to go first? We've got the whole day to enjoy ourselves after all."

Alexander was already half distracted by music and sparks of light in the southern part of the city and as such, he subconsciously had started guiding both Zeke and himself over to the festivities going on there.
"I think I'd like to see what's all going on down here with all the lights and the fun; hopefully I'm not getting homesick or something," Alexander chuckled, finding himself dancing along a little to whatever the heck music was playing in the background. It seemed to be a mix of things when they were far away enough.

Zeke covered his mouth as he chuckled to himself. "Jeez Alex, why am I not surprised? Alright then, party time here we come!" Zeke followed Alex as they slipped down into the almost labyrinthian cityscape with only the sound of merriment and music to guide them along the way.
(Lol figure we'll just move to the South Thread Y/N?)

Along the Eastern wall of Nachtundtag the city slept. The homes of simple stonework and wood sat still, as its occupants were all out enjoying the festival or getting ready to sleep as the sun had begun to set. Even the once busy sound of men and women at work along the wall was gone, and not a soul was to be found save for the unfortunate guards that stood watch along it.
No more than a handful sat along the breadth of the outpost. There had been no reports of suspicious activity, no message of invaders. There was no fear or apprehension in the hearts or minds of the guards. Only anxiety ate away at them as they sat bored, wishing they could be part of the sights and sounds of the festival.
Of course, with the music playing it the foreground of their mind there was almost no way for them to hear the faint clink of grapnel hooks that slid secure over the stone wall's edge, nor the choked sound of death as figures in dark green leather armour snuck up from behind with daggers in hand.
One of the older guards, a woman in her late 30s happened to glance over at her coworker in time to see him die in the intruders arms. She screamed and drew her blade, cutting down the assassin as he had cut down her ally. A quick look around showed too many for her to fight. She leapt from the wall and ran towards the north side, crying for help and warning those she passed of the intruders.
The invaders wasted no time in moving out. They said nothing and did not even bother to look at their allies in arms. Each knew there part. Each had their orders. Kill all but one, then disperse. With only twelve remaining, they split into groups of four and headed to the different areas of the city.

Andy had returned to Crepusculum, thinking that Jasmine would be found at the Shimmering Lake or if someone in Crepusculum would have known where she was. He had thought of saying hello to Queen Lunetise but he really didn't know where to find her...so he dropped that for now, he was just about to leave too when he heard yelling and screaming. He took off running, his cloak behind him trailing in the wind as a female guard came running his way.
"Hey! What's going on, what happened?!" he said, stopping in front of the frantic guard.

Enizo had been looking for the group known as the Heroes since they had returned to Crepusculum, and what would be a better place to check other then a festival?
Enizo leaped down from a building and took in the sights, people, games, food, a guard screaming for her life, yep, this was what made Crepusculum festivals the best.... back track a moment, what's with the screaming guard?
Enizo quickly looked around to see the cause of this problem, slipping his hand out one of his four blades waiting for anything to happen.

The woman spied the weapons on Andy's person and clung to him tightly as she looked upon him with panic in her eyes. "Please, you have to warn everyone! A group breached the wall...killed our men and scattered. I didn't even see where they went, I was so scared. Those eyes, they weren't the eyes of a normal man." She pointed past Andy towards the city's centre. "They looked like assassins. They could be going there towards our Queen." Her hand strayed down to the southern border where the sounds of the parade could be heard. "Or they might be after that...Millennium Order guy everyone's been talking about."
Meanwhile the invaders rushed past the cobbled walls and thatched roofs of the lower quarters and into the city itself. Their speed made them a blur of green and silver to any normal onlooker and as their feet clapped against the paved streets they moved as men possessed.
Two of the groups had taken the longer path to the North and South sides respectively, following the city wall as they made their way to their instructed objective. The last group made a beeline for the western walls, no doubt drawing attention to their destination as they hurried past Enizo. With weapons drawn and faces covered no doubt they drew suspicion in the young man.

The...Millennium Order Guy? Andy thought, looking around the festival as if trying to spot some clue to these guys. He looked over to the south area and nodded. "Alright, I can get to the Queen no doubt... hopefully she'll recognize me. But can you run? Can you get help?"
He had asked, spying the woman's seemly frantic condition. He wanted to help but if they were after the Queen then he had to pick up the pace.

"Please hurry! I'll come with you. I have to warn the Queen too." The woman seemed to have regained her breath and looked ready to run again. Without a word of acknowledgement from Andy she took off with a steady clack of her greaves against the stone streets. While she no doubt lacked the speed that Andy possessed, she hoped that her knowledge of Nachtundtag's streets and its shortcuts would get her to the parade quickly.

Andy tried to protest but the woman was off like a bullet, with a simple shrug he took off after her as well. Letting her lead the way through the parade, probably would be faster for her to.

"Oh boy..." Enizo muttered to himself as the ground of shadowed figures ran past him, "So much for a party!" Enizo then started to run after the group going to the South.
