The trip wasn't very long, Naghtundag was no more than an hour's walk from the Shimmering Lake. As the three of them made their way up to the city Andy was pondering the strange creature, and what it was trying to do. Was it really after him as Amphion and Rutger believe it to be?
He couldn't really know for sure, but he would be able to find out once Amphion finishes looking at this strange black stuff they found.
"This is it Naghtundag," he said to the others, "Crepusculum's capital."

The swordsman walked alongside Amphion and Andy, glancing about at the city around them. Here they were, at the capital of the Crepusculum Kingdom. - [The Task At Hand]"..." The swordsman remained quiet as took in his surroundings. However, he did not let his focus slip. He looked over at his companions with an expressionless gaze. "...We are here. Now what?"

"I have a temporary home where I've been keeping my stuff," Amphion explained as he glanced around the city, his gaze landed on a very old house that looked to be abandoned. "I've got some equipment I can use to analyze this goo."
Amphion opened the door to his 'house', like the outside the inside didn't look any better, there was a sleeping area and a table packed with equipment that Amphion had been gathering. "It shouldn't take long..."
He pulled out a couple of weird looking items and began his work on the goo.

Andy folded his arms, waiting as Amphion got to work on...whatever this thing was. He tapped his arm impatiently and couldn't resist from asking.
"How long do you think it will take?"

The swordsman followed Andy and Amphion into the sage's house. From what he could see, premises did not seem to appear to be very well-maintained. He spent the first few seconds assessing the building from the inside, then turned to the others. "..." The swordsman took a few steps towards Amphion and looked over his shoulder. He was trying to see what the sage was doing without getting in the way.

"Just as I had thought..." Amphion said looking up from it, "It's a symbiotic creature, it seems to be alive yet barely."
Amphion looked back at the goo for a moment, "But as far as I know this creature has never been dated in any books, it's a completely new species."

The swordsman stood close to Amphion and listened to what he had to say. It sounded like they were dealing with something very unusual. "...A completely new species, huh." The swordsman glanced from Amphion to Andy. It sounded like there weren't many reference materials on the goo in question, but hopefully that didn't mean that this was a dead end. "...Perhaps there are other things we can learn from observing it firsthand..." His gaze fell on the goo sample. The swordsman wondered what secrets it held...

The piece of goo in the case suddenly sprang to life, forming into some spiked ball and shattering the vial. Bouncing out of the shattered pieces of glass and slipping under the door way and into the streets, it was trying to go to somewhere.

- [An Unexpected Caller]The swordsman stepped back, flinching slightly as the goo jumped forward. He was visibly surprised by the slime's sudden movement. "...!" The shock did not last long, however, and the swordsman quickly turned around, trying to keep his eye on the goo. He didn't quite fully understand the specifics of the current circumstances... but he didn't want to let the evidence escape. "...We can't let it get away..." Gripping his Killing Edge tightly, the swordsman gave chase and followed the goo outside. He couldn't afford to wait for the others; if he hesitated even slightly, then the goo could escape him.

"...." Amphion was speechless as the seemly unmovable goo sprang across the room with remarkably speed, Amphion got off his chair and began to run to the doorway when he seemed to suddenly feel a wave of power push against him, "Watch out, something tells me we might be running into a trap." Amphion said as he ran after Rutger.

The swordsman slowed down slightly when he heard Amphion's voice behind him. The thought had indeed occurred to him that it might be a trap... but there seemed to be little that could be done about it. "You may be right... but what choice do we have?" He continued to pursue the goo with his Killing Edge in hand. "We must give chase... all we can do is be cautious." The swordsman lowered his head and kept the goo in his line of sight. Whatever the goo was, he had a feeling that it wasn't going to be easy to catch...

"Holy shi-" Andy yelled as the goo shot out of the vial and out the door, with Rutger and even Amphion running outside Andy had no choice but to follow. Charging out the door he looked around the throng of people, but even with the masses a stream of black was seen snaking it's way through the crowd at high speed.
"Right there!" he yelled as the slime vanished around the corner, as Andy took off to it there was suddenly a rush of yelling and screaming, and a giant crowd of people ran away from that area where the goo vanished to.
"What the hell? That can't be good." he said as he rounded the corner.

As Andy rounded the corner a man concealed in black robes was seen, the goo traveled up his sleeve and vanished. At first the figure did not move, the hood on it's head lifted up only slightly and then he turned around to face Andy. Even though it's face couldn't be seen, some of the figure's bronzed chin was seen from the black folds. It's head lowered and it's arm raised, the hand pointing a finger at Andy. The action was simple, but the movement felt...accusatory.

The swordsman had been following the goo, and he stopped in his tracks when he saw the goo disappear up into the sleeve of the hooded stranger. The swordsman's body tensed up, and he kept his Killing Edge firmly in his grip; his instincts told him that this encounter was no coincidence. - [What Comes From Darkness]"..." The he saw the cloaked figure point at Andy, and the swordsman stood motionless, his glance continuously jumping from one man to the other. The man seemed to have some business with Andy... and perhaps that meant there was something Andy had been keeping from them. The swordsman kept his guard up and remained keenly observant; he needed to be ready for anything at this point.

Despite the weird turn of advents Amphion had stayed incredibly calm, in fact these started to become more and more clear to him.
"So this is your doing...?" Amphion started slipping his hand into his cloak to reach for his nearest magic, "I assume that the creature we battled was targeted to Andy, and Rutger and I were just at the wrong place at the wrong time?"
