The fiasco with Graham and the woman Allison has left them running from the scene, hassle with the police didn't seem to be on this woman's mind right now. Once they got a distance from them, they stopped to take a break.
"That should be far enough," Allison huffed and puffed. "We should-"
She let out a gasp as Andy grabbed her arm, gently, but the action was sudden and he had the metal gauntlets on so it was frightening.
"Now I want answers," Andy said, "How do you know about Allorum and what did they mean you could open a way back IN?"

"You know if you want to get back to Allorum or whatever it's called, you might want to be nicer to the lady that doesn't burst into flames." Navarre said, not understanding the entire story, but was curious on what was happening.

"I wanna get something clear," Andy said to Allison, "I am not gonna be misused and dumped or manipulated for some plan, either you start telling us EVERYTHING or you're on your own. No negotiations."
Allison looked at them for a moment before she nodded at them.
"Fair enough..."
Andy let go of her arm and she began to explain herself, "I am Dr. Allison Montgomery, twenty years ago...when I was fifteen, I was brought into the world of Allorum by a man named Kevin Uruhane-"
Andy's eyes widened at the mention of a familiar name but didn't interrupt.
"-me, and several other teenagers were also brought into Allorum, chosen to be warriors and guardians for a powerful Seer named Profeta. She gifted us with weapons and powers and told us of her mission to defeat the Sumata XIII."
"Yeah, so were we," Andy gestured to himself and Kouji, "But how come I never heard of you before?"
Allison looked down at her feet, "Because...we all found out the hard way we weren't cut out for the job."

"Weren't... 'cut out for the job'?" Kouji asked, puzzled. "How?" His accent was still atrocious, but maybe his exposure to otherworldy force was re-stretching his language muscle, because it was getting, well, a little better.

Allison sighed before she continued, "Kevin brought about 12 of us to Allorum...out of those 12 people 4 of them were killed and 3 of them were so psychologically damaged they may as well have been dead. The rest of us, sorely outmatched and fearful of our lives, fled back to Earth. We were never sought after from Kevin or anyone else again...for twenty years we tried to act as if we never went to Allorum."
"So what changed?" Andy asked.
"I don't know," Allison shrugged, running a tired hand through her short bright blond hair. "I can't say for the people who attacked us-"
"I meant you." Andy interrupted, which caused her to pause. When she didn't respond he continued, "You said you tried to live normal lives, but if that's so why did you create a device that can, supposedly, open portals to Allorum?"
Allison didn't have a response for his question, instead she continued as if she didn't hear him. "Several days ago, some of the people I once knew contacted me. They somehow knew about the device I made and tried to convince me to use it, I wanted to know why and they told me they wanted to go back to Allorum."

"So, you have a device that can make a portal to Allorum, and now they are trying to take it?" Navarre said, not understanding what an Allorum is, but deduced it was a place.

Yes, his accent was decidedly improving. Flexing his English muscle and all that. It was easier for him to try and copy the way Andy and Navarre spoke, and now that he had a model, he was doing better. Also, all the phrases and words he'd learned were starting to come back to him.
Not that his accent wasn't still bad, it was just much better.
"And if you wanted to go back... why aren't you doing exactly what they want you to?"

"They told me, no actually I overheard them, saying that they plan to return to Allorum to get their powers back and...and they intend to create a new Sumata." Allison explained.
"What?!" Andy spluttered, "Are they nuts or something?! Who would want to do that?!"
Allison shrugged, "God if I know, they're insane! They must have somehow sensed it...the defeat of Trucido, the Sumata disbanded and scattered. But god why would they want to make a new Sumata XIII?"

"A what?" Navarre asked Kouji. He kinda felt like the odd man out of this group, since he hadn't been to Allorum.

Kouj thought for a moment, trying to fish the stubborn English words out of his recalcitrant brain; it was starting to hurt from all the implications of what was being said.
"I... It is hard to explain. My English... it isn't very good. But I will try. I believe the word is... 'tyrant'. THe Sumata XIII were 'tyrants' who tried to conquer..." He broke off, once again searching for English phrases. He shook his head. "No... 'conquer' isn't the right word. They already ruled this world, but... most did not rule wisely, and many had already conquered the... kingdoms they had." He looked at Navarre. "They wished to destroy Allorum so that they could rule the world. Their leader was... ijou. We say 'ijou'... your word...." He struggled. "......I believe... 'insane'." He sighed. "{I hate English.}"

"None of that matters right now," he turned to Allison, "It seems they're now after your device and judging by the way they blew up that pier, they're desperate enough to do whatever it takes."
"Which is why I need you to help me destroy it," she asked, Andy raised an eyebrow.
"If you made the machine can't you destroy it on your own?"
"I was going to," she said, "I would use those Gauntlets you have on, but seeing how they draw out your power better-"
"Wait, draw out?" he asked, "What do you mean?"
"The gauntlets were created to draw out energy of anyone who has been to Allorum. The Gauntlets seem to draw out a lot of your power as we seen, so I guess destroying the device is better in your hands."
Andy looked and the Gauntlets and nodded, "Alright, fair enough, lead the way."

Navarre followed Andy, but when he was walking, he saw something and picked up, quickly putting it in his pocket. "So, where are we heading? To an abandon Warehouse, or a subterranean laboratory?"

"My apartment across the park," she pointed down the alley, probably in the direction where her apartment was. Andy sighed to himself as he turned to Navarre.
"Talk about anti-climatic." he said.
