Gemini of the Twilight Moon (Plot Thread 5.3)

[Eli Ventus]

Eli tried to turn around and run back for them, but his head felt like it was gonna split open. He fell to his knees and held his head, his vision swimming. He could see the stone floor below but then it shifted to a battle field, he could see enemies rushing for him. He jumped back only to hit the stone wall behind him, the visions cleared up a bit and he saw the door ahead of him opened....

He pushed himself forward, feeling a strong grip of fear in his heart he still moved forward into the darkened hallways. The corridors were dark and empty, he could hear his own footsteps echoing in the halls. Then he heard it, a shift of other footsteps ahead of him. Slowly...carefully...he moved forward, he walked into the middle of an intersection, two halls going left or right, he was about to turn right when-

it came for him! A black cloak rushed for him, blades swinging, Eli reacted and blocked it. Being pushed against the wall.

"It's over Aku!"

'Aku' didn't respond, Eli pushed the figure away and swung at him only to miss. The figure swung again and Eli dodged it.

"What do you want with me?!" he yelled, rushing again-

only for his head to begin to erupt in pain. A voice ringing in his head.

"And if they are then what? We will inact our brilliant 'Revenge' on innocent people?"

The voice faded away and Eli was alone in the hallways, he moved down the right hallway.

"Aku! Come on!" he yelled, fighting the throbbing in his head. He moved further down the halls, to another intersection...where he saw the figure again, darting left, he ran around and the corner and turned-

only to find nothing but a dead end.

Before he could ponder about this a door behind him opened, he looked around before he slowly stepped through...and was met with a large room of moving circles. Perhaps it was gears for the station and it's machines, some floating around, others stationary and moving in a circle. Aku was on the highest gear, looking down on him...but his cloak looked different, not the one he encountered in the hall. Now that he thought about it...the cloaked man in the hall looked more like...

...Roxa's cloak.

[Aku]

Aku watched as Eli entered the room, a small, deranged smile entered his face, he couldn't help but laugh. For is seemed that he was not the only one who was being driven insane.

"Eli!" Aku yelled down, his voice echoing through the room, "You have no idea how long I've been waiting for this... how long I've been waiting to settle this little game we've been put through."

He was silent for a moment before leaping down to his level, looking back at Eli he raised both his blades and laughed once more, "Look at you, you have NO idea what's going on, do you? DO YOU!?"

[Eli Ventus]

Eli glared at the young man laughing at him, "I know there's a crazy man in front of me that is in the way, move aside now!"

He drew his sword, holding it back handed.

"Or I'll MAKE you move!"

[Aku]

He raised his hand over the left part of his face, as if there was a stinging pain of sorts, he grabbed the hood and slipped it deeper over his face. Looking up at Eli, the air was thick of rage and intentions of violence.

"Eli..." He said in a deep, low growl, "Now we'll see who is truly the chosen one!"

He took out his two blades, rushing at him with incredible speed and swinging with swift combos.

[Eli Ventus]

Eli pulled his blade back before he began swiping at him, blades clanging as the two of them met blade to blade with each other. Despite Aku having two blades Eli was quick with his single blade too.

"What are you even TALKING about?!" he yelled, putting more energy in his swings.

[Aku]

Their blades clashed, each attempting to gain the upper hand against each other. Aku flipped back, getting some distance away from Eli, "Allow me to explain, every moon picks just one warrior to fight for it... but what happens when they pick more than one?"

He glared intensely at Eli, "The moon picks its' favorite and pits the two against each other." He grabbed his hood, ripping it off his head... to show a face not his own, it was changing, half of his face was lighter skinned, blue eyed, light hair. The moon was literally changing Aku into Eli."Tell me why...?"

He lifted his blades, drawing power into them, "TELL ME WHY THE MOON FAVORS YOU OVER ME!" He swung his blade down, unleashing the powerful blow that flew towards Eli.

[Eli Ventus]

"What!?" Eli cried out as he saw Aku's face, he gasped and leaped aside - away from the powerful energy burst. "You...you're chosen from the Crepusculum Moon?! But...but that can't be - I am the chosen one from the moon, why is there two!?"

[Aku]

"Were you not listening!?" He roared, rushing at Eli swinging his swords with such immense strength, "The Moon wants us to fight each other, it wants us to KILL each other!"

He didn't actually know why, but he assumed it was because the moon enjoyed watching two people fight for its' power.

[Eli Ventus]

"For True Story"


"What do you mean?!" Eli yelled, dodging one strike and attempting to block the last one with fail. The strike was strong enough to send him backwards. He rolled back to his feet and felt his lunar energy build, using his energy he ran forward and struck at Aku.

[Aku]

"It sounds pretty simple to me, Eli, but let me put this in a more simple way..." Aku said, dodging the strikes from Eli, "There are two of us, and by the end of this fight there will only be ONE. Understand now, I'm going to kill and absorb you!"

He raised his blades, they began to transform into something different, their design was simply beautiful, truly a work of the gods. However, they were extremely powerful, doubling his power.

"This the the gift the moon has given me, the power to defeat you!" Aku yelled, rushing back at him.

[Eli Ventus]

Eli's eyes widened as the two blade came down, he pushed his legs to side the and rolled around Aku, pushing himself up and thrusting his blade at his back.

[Aku]

Aku managed to leap to the side in time to avoid a death strike, but the blade did leave a terrible gash on his side.

He didn't seem to notice it however, for he flowed so easily in the flip that he managed to swing his blade right at Eli's side.

[Eli Ventus]

Eli yelled out as the blade connected with his side, he grimaced against the pain. He gave a roar and his energy burst out, entering berserk mode he charged at Aku. Swinging with speed and a massive amount of force.

[Aku]

The blades clashed, Eli's force causing Aku to fall straight back near a pillar.

Glancing over at the pillar he smiled back at Eli, "Let's see if you can dodge this!" He took his blade and swung, slicing right through the stone pillar. The pillar began to crumble and break, falling right toward Eli.

[Eli Ventus]

Eli looked up at the pillar and roared, his energy burst around him like a powerful aura. Chipping away at the stone pillar that crashed down at him, causing it to break down the middle and crash around him. With a powerful push he shot forward, swinging his sword at Aku again.
