I took a deep breath, calming my frantically beating heart.
"Sayara!" I whined. "Don't scare me like that!" I sighed. "I'm sorry I haven't visited Nerezza in a while, I've just got other things to do. Like making sure that the rest of the Knights are found, and helping the Order establish a visible presence in the world..."

"You always have 'something' else to do!" Sayara said as she ran to Vash, and started to hit Vash on his chest.
Volkmar sighed, and turned to Kurai, "Working on this house, and dealing with her whining about Vash, I'm just glad this is almost done." He said to his fellow Lunar Knight.

Kurai shrugged, going back to reading his book almost as if nothing had happened "Look at it this way, now that Vash is here, you have her off of your back for a bit." He smiled behind his mask "But I have no more strider books, so if she asks, I'll need to think of a conveniant excuse."

I winced as she pounded me, but I turned to Kurai. "I don't think she'll... oof.. go after them.. erk... like that... eep... again; luckily, ow, the corruption's been, argh, reversed and she's back to her... OOF... normal self again..." I yelped as she hit me again, harder than the last time. "Okay, okay! I'm sorry, I'll go... ow... back to Nerezza again soon, geez! 'Sides, I need to talk to Elexa anyway. It's fallen to me to advocate for the Order."

"Hooray!" She said, as she stopped 'beating' up her brother, she then gave him a hug. "I can't want to hear what happen to you during my 300 year nap!" She then smiled.
"Yep, been a while since I have been on my own." Volkmar said to Kurai, finally standing up, "It's going to be nice vacation, before I have to deal with my future wife... and other situations." He walked over to a large barrel and filled the cup up with water.

I grinned. "Oh, not much. Kicked some undead ass, saw the Heroes arrive, took care of some messes, watched Lunatopia get destroyed, saw the resurrection and second defeat of the Saints, made friends with some of the survivors... been a while. You've missed a lot. 'Course, Rasen would probably be better to fill you in, since she watches everything, abstraction of vision and time and all that.... me, I can only tell you about what I was there to see."

"I want more details, Vashy!" She said, but she sighed, "But I guess I can wait. However, if you want to stop the thugs from hurting your town, I would go and stop them." She pointed next to Vash, near the town's border.
Volkmar looked over, and grinned, "Finally another fight!" He picked up his swords, and jumped off of the building. "If you two want to join in the fun, come quickly." He said as he started to run.
Sayara grinned, at Volkmar as he left, "It's funny..."

"Well... I really wanted to finish this chapter..." He said with a sigh as he folded over the corner of his current page and slipped the book into a pouch at his waist. "But I suppose that I should take care of this first... You know 'duty' and 'honor' and 'protecting the innocent!' All of that stuff..." He stretched his arms into the air and their was a brief crack of his spine. "Oooh... It's been a while..." With that, he unsheathed one of his Kunai knives and wandered over behind Volkmar.

There was about 30 or so muscular guys standing around the edge of town, all of the either tossing their sword, or flexing muscles, or something manly. The leader, a man with black hair with an orange streak was standing, and shouting, "Where are you, you crazy old coot?!"
"Who is this old coot?" One of the guys asked the light blue haired man.
"He is like the protector of this ruin. He ran the boss and us out of this place." The light blue haired man said, "Boss keeps challenging him so we can have our old grounds back."
Volkmar finally reached to where they are, "Hey! I thought I made it clear to stay out!" Volkmar shouted at them
"Well, I got more men, and we are going to kick your ass! This is our town, belonging to the Crescent Claw Gang!" The boss shouted. "We also got one of the 'Lunar knight', so you are going to lose!"
"I have back up too!" Volkmar shouted, "So shut up, and fight!"

"They claim to have a 'Lunar Knight' huh?" Kurai said, surrounding the words 'Lunar Knight' with his fingers. "Well... Did you tell them you've got two? Sort of.. I'm sure they'd love to hear that one..." He looked across at the 30 or so men and gave a shrug "May as well even the numbers out a little..." Giving off multiple hand signs in quick succession, he spoke. "Shadow clone jutsu!"
In a puff of smoke, another 9 Kurai appeared out of nowhere, all of them fully solid and capable of dealing out as much punishment as the original could. So that made it 12 against 30, to be honest, they could have achieved victory with just the three of them, so the increased numbers merely just bolstered their advantage even further.
"Now then." Kurai said, stifling a yawn with his hand "Who shall make the first move?"

"Two more," I corrected, grinning. "Since Volk's one as well... this could get mighty interesting. Don't kill anyone, Volkmar! These guys aren't really worth your time, anyway." I didn't bother removing my first limiter. I don't like fighting, but I wasn't going to run away - Lunatopia needed protecting.
"Anyway, what do you guys want with this place, anyway?" I asked, addressing the "Crescent Claw Gang".

"This is to be where their gang would hang out." Volkmar answered Vash, "I drove them out when I return from the station. They are still sore about how one man defeated 10 gang members."
"Yea, well I got more members, and you will die!" The boss said, snapping his fingers. 6 members were pulling chains, revealing a large muscular man with a crescent moon tattoo shown on his forehead. The members released their chains, letting the monstrous size man come charging at them.
"Dibs." Volkmar shouted as he charged at the man. Volkmar struck him, then he ran away from the group, making sure no one else bothered them during their fight.
"I ain't missing this." The Boss shouted, "Basker, finish these bozos off." He ran off after Volkmar.
"As you wish boss." Basker, the light blue haired man said. "Men... attack." He pulled out a pistol, and started to fire at the clones, as the other men pulled out axes, swords, clubs, daggers, and charged at them.

I sighed. "Oh, please..." I leveled my own gun, selecting a target before squeezing the trigger, sending someone collapsing with a bullet in his leg; another bullet found its way into a hand, causing the victim to drop his weapon. I was aiming to injure and disable, not to kill, of course. "Come on, why do you want to take over the ruins of Lunatopia, anyway?" I asked. "There's gotta be better places for you guys to set up shop!"

"Boss' orders." Basker said, as he took aim at Vash, and fired shots at his chest, "We do what the boss says. It's as simple as that, an entire city under our rule is our boss' wish."
