Personal Arc: Rebirthing the Order

So, as you all know, our next arc is kicking off with a mini-arc as an introduction – Volk is running the mini-arc, while Jordan and I are going to be running the megaplot that follows.

Meanwhile, the aftermath of the Lunar Arc is bringing some changes to the world of CR. Most importantly, at least for the moment, the existence of the Lunar Knights has been revealed to the public. Sure, most people think that these stories are merely myths or legends, that it was the Heroes and the Heroes only who defeated the Ketulunans, but the fact remains that the Knight are n integral part of the stories – and there are some who are looking to cash in on that recognition, for good or evil.

First and foremost of these is Vash, recently revealed to be no mere Lunar Knight, but one of the Moon Spirits, or “Lunars”, in physical form. Sensing that change is coming, he wishes to take this opportunity to right the mistakes of the past and make the Order of Lunar Knights into a respected, legitimized Order. In order to do so, he has approached the new President of Unda for support, as well as Xiza Tyrmond for permission to rebuild Lunatopia and create a Temple of the Moon Goddesses.

His secondary mission? To regather the scattered Lunar Knights, including those who are unaware of their powers or their place. Many Lunars are without Knights, a situation which, if left unchecked, couls cause an imbalance of mana within the lands of Allorum; some Lunars are waiting for their Knights to be born, or grow into their powers, and he wants to create a place for this new generation of Knights to call their own.

Oh, and one more thing -

This won't be an official "Arc", per se - no sidebar for plot threads, no big deal threat to the world, just a bunch of people getting together to have fun with each other's characters and maybe help some people out along the way. A personal journey, rather than a major plot, similar to the Saints threads. Jess suggested that CR do more things like this, and I agree with her.

What exactly does the public know about the Lunar Knights now? Aside from they exist and they were supposed to be myths (some of them don't believe apparently)? Just briefly so I know how I'm playing my characters |D; I don't think I'm picking up new ones at the moment, I want to focus on my past ones and get some of their stories settled before I give them up - Jasmine, Alexander, Lana, Vincent, and Annabelle.

And by "support of the world's rulers" - you mean Vash would need everyone involved in that? Or is this something that focuses on Ketulunanox more than Allorum as a whole? I apologize for not following too well ^^

Don't worry, I don't think I wrote this up as effectively as I could have.

Basically, the salient points are this:

Previously, Lunar Knights were considered myths on the fairy-tale level. Few people hadn't heard of them, most don't take stories of them all that seriously, since nobody had ever really been able to confirm actually seeing/meeting one - since their existence implies the existence of the Lunars/Element Moons, this was kind of the point.

Now, though, they've come sort of out of the woodwork - the Heroes were assisted by the Lunar Knights against the Ketulunans that were attacking the world, and rumor/story/fact all agrees on that, since it was a large-scale attempt involving multiple Knights - it makes a damn good story and bards love those, especially involving popular characters like the mythic Lunar Knights. So, naturally, everyone has now heard about "THE RETURN OF THE LUNAR KNIGHTS!!!111!!!111"

But most people don't know whether to actually believe it or not. It's like if we actually had evidence that King Arthur HAD returned to Britain. You'd get people arguing about "THE KING HAS RETURNED!!111!!!111!!!", "No, that's not possible", "Someone's got a really good hoax going", "ITS ALIUNS FRUM OUTER SPAC3!!!!!!!111!!111!!".... you get my drift. Most people want to believe in these secret, chosen heroes whose stories they grew up on, but all the same, most people won't.

Now, as for the support thing. What he's trying to do is get the rulers of Allorum to tell the world, "No, really, the Lunar Knights DO exist," and recognize the Order as an official Order, etc. so he can rebuild it with some kind of pride and glory, rather than as a secret taht should never, ever move out of the realm of myth and legend. He'll probably be traveling to each of them in turn to try and get support for his efforts; right now, he's already approached Benjamin (who he went to first) but he'll be going to visit Elexa as well, and likely the other rulers we still have players/characters for.

That does, actually. It does a LOT hahaha. It does so much that I could tell you right now that though Alexander has grown up a little bit, he's still naive enough to believe that his fairytale heroes would be alive in a heartbeat =p

My only hope is that whenever a Knight shows up for Santo-Luce or is established, they're a very handsome man or woman

Hahah! Volk evidently has plans for that character, who won't appear until the next generation; that may be subject to change, etc. so you'd have to ask him. I know that several other Knight positions ARE open, though.

Edit: Confirmatin from Volk - all but two of the un-claimed countries are up for grabs; the ones that are NOT available are Santo-Luce and Tuono.

Countries that already HAVE Lunar Knights (or will never have one, in two cases) are:

Ketuluna (because there is no Lunar for Ketuluna), Guasto (Vash will not take a Knight), Nerezza (Volkmar), Ariadelvento (Kurai), Unda (Seth), Crepusculum (Eli), and Vuoto (Guo).
