She sighed.
"Of course, you're right, Monthu. Still..." She fixed them with a glare. "Any more of this nonsense, and not even the potential dangers of a hostile world will keep me here, just as Monthu said. Once we've learned the dangers of this place... well." She chuckled. "I don't suppose there's anything stopping Monthu or I from walking right up to one of these so-called 'Heroes', crying, 'Please, we've reformed,' and telling them everything. They'll come after you and we'll get off scott-free." She shrugged, one hand coming elegantly up to her mouth as she glanced sideways at Ra and Set. "Just so you're aware that you don't, actually, hold all the cards."

Set raised his hands, "Whoa. I'm just following orders. I have been on this planet for the past 6 months, and all I want to do is to go home. So if following orders is the fastest way to get home, I am doing it." He said as he leaned back, "But if cooling it with the bazooka, will make you all happy, then I will. "

"Alright... So we're at our compromise then..." He motioned at Bast and then himself "You and I stay here and handle the quiets stuff..." He then motioned to Ra and Set "So long as you guys give us a chance to handle the quiet stuff..." He let out a sigh and once again sat down on the counter.
"Don't get me wrong, when it hits the fan a bazooka will be fine by me, let's just use everyone's skills across the board, we have a diverse group here!" He had an arrowhead in his hand now, one of the long, thin, awlpike heads, and was lightly turning it over in his hands.

She raised an eyebrow, giving Monthu somewhat of a smirk as she looked down at the arrowhead he was carrying.
"That's certainly as nasty an arrowhead as I've ever seen," she admitted. "Diverse skills, indeed..."

"Sometimes you don't want the target to die straight away..." He said, holding up the needle-like piece of metal, looking at it admiringly. As soon as he had started to use archery as a true weapon, he had researched into ways to make it more effective, when he found there was little more you can do than change where you hit someone, he'd refined his searches into how different weapons could kill in different ways, he found out about senbon, which could be used to cut major arteries. But they were two thin to be used as arrowheads, so he stole the design of the western awlkpike instead.
"Sometimes you just want to sever an artery, let them think that they'll survive, then suddenly, a few days later? They're found dead from internal bleeding." His face remained plain as he placed the arrowhead away and pulled out another, round and flat. "Sometimes you want to knock someone unconscious." That one went away also, to be replaced by a barbed one.
"And sometimes, you just want to hurt someone as much as possible..." He smirked "It doesn't matter which you use, one arrow can change the world."

"I suppose we should call you a superhero then, hm?" she asked, chuckling lightly. "If we are to change the world for the better... Heh. I don't have so noble a motive," she said, flipping her hair back. "But it's nice to know that there are still idealists in the world..." Her smile was slightly predatory, but her tone was joking.

"Far from it, I'm good with a bow and arrow, that's all... Nothing particularly special about me if I'm being honest. And by all means, don't think that just because I believe and wish to change the world, I am no noble man. I am a grey man, the one who blends into the background, the one who's name nobody will ever know or remember." He nodded to himself as he slipped the barbed arrowhead back into it's respective pouch.
"I am an assassin, first and foremost, an idealist second."

She chuckled wickedly. "So very modest, and spoken like a true gentleman.." She grinned at him, giving hi a light shove. But she sighed, shaking her head. "All joking aside, though; we have a deal?"

"I kill people for a living, on occasion for my country and if I get caught they'll deny my existence and anyone with any blood relation, no matter the distance, will probably be knocked off by a guy like me just to be on the safe side." He shrugged with a small smile "May as well be a gentleman about it." He nodded when she asked him about their deal.
"That we do. Like I said, I'm an expert at handling quiet situations, as are you according to your portfolio that came with the mission files, if those skills are being wasted, I see no time to hang around and get myself killed."

"So they included a portfolio? Hmph; I need to read the docs more carefully next time. What did it have to say? All good things, I hope..."

"Mostly good things." Monthu replied with a small shrug "According to the file..." He rummaged into his backpack that sat at his feet and pulled out the light brown folder. Flicking it open, he turned to a page filled with Bast's pros/cons and statistics.
"... You have a bit of a temper... Somewhat vain... Curious... But a good thief, and apparently damn fine at a game of hide and seek!" He closed the file and placed it on the counter on which he was seated. "Okay." He admitted "I made up the last part, but it does says you're good at not being seen, same here, we really should have a game of hide and seek at some point."

She laughed. "Sure! We can play it with those 'Hero' types Set mentioned..."

Ma'at had watched the two converse, and looked back at Set, even he seemed to be more honest than the rest of the group in comparison to Ra. She closed her eyes, feeling the auras, the bonding, the dissonance, the pain, the hatred, the desiring, the hopeful, the careless, the professionalism.
She kept her eyes closed, blocking everything else out, as she sighed, breathing inward and standing up, slowly looking through her side pack, pulling out a few medical supplies, seeing as Isis was gone, she would take on being the medic on one side for the time being, and a warrior on the other.
"I suppose we should move on then," she said softly, as she used her spear as a walking stick, shifting her weight away from her right leg, stretching.
"The longer we stay here, the less time we have to efficiently get home, and the longer the enemy gets to look for us."

"Perhaps if we meet them on our travels..." Monthu agreed with a nod as he pondered what would happen if he and Bast decided to leave the group "It is weird. Being on an alien world..." He muttered.
He gave a stretch before dropping down off the counter and slinging his backpack on once again and giving a firm nod "May as well keep moving."

Set looked out of the window, and noticed the setting sun. "I wouldn't leave here until morning, if I were you." He said, checking his map, "It appears we are somewhere in the kingdom of the dead, Guasto, in the Phanto Plains." He stood up and walked towards the door, "Out there, you aren't on the top of the food chain. If we just camp here tonight, I can charge up the device and be ready to head to the next destination by morning." He walked up the stairs to start to work.
Ra stood in the corner, "We are staying here tonight, and leaving in the morning." He ordered as he put his backpack on the ground and laid his head on it.
