Near an abandoned Trading post, a portal opens up, and Ra rolls out of the portal. He quickly stands up, and notices the room was empty and dusty, therefore empty. He wipes the dust off, and waits for the other members to come throw the portal.

Monthu rolled through the portal and landed on his knee before shaking his head with a cough. He had a growing sense of dissapointment.
"Well that was... Interesting..." He muttered as he looked around before reaching to his eye and taking off the monocular, placing the elasticated strap into one of the pouches at his waist he slipped his bow over his shoulder and rubbed his eye where his monocular had been.
"No offence, boss." He said, finding a nice place to sit, perched on the edge of some sort of counter. "But this has possibly, so far, been the most unsubtle recon missions that I've ever seen..." He rubbed the bridge of his nose next before looking up at Ra, letting his hand drop down to his side.
"Don't get me wrong, I like getting my hands dirty, I don't carry explosive arrow heads because they're funny. But firing bazooka's that launch god-knows-what at the enemy, no, at civillians? Man, that's something else... I know that in the thick of battle, you get collateral damage... But the guys who start a battle with collateral damage? Well... History never remembers them as the good guys, boss..."

Ma'at looked to Monthu, instead of diving through the portal, she had walked through gracefully, and leaned back against the nearest corner, sitting down slowly.
"..On top of what he says, we leave a member behind who could have possibly been saved.."
Her hands writhed through her own hair, as if thinking deeply, and she sighed.
"As a matter of fact Monthu, I'm beginning to wonder if we were the good guys to begin with..."

Bast sighed, crossing her arms. "Good guys, bad guys, in the end, they're just words that history assigns almost arbitrarily. The victors write themselves as heroes, so the people aren't bitter at how many died on either side. It's a matter of fact that there is no good or evil in this world, and any who believe otherwise are incredibly naive." She made a face. "However, that doesn't mean that I approve of Set and Ra's heavy-handedness. I'm inclined to agree with Monthu - you hired a group of stealth-ready, negotiations-capable people and you're inclined to start a war instead. It's like winning a game of Chess by throwing the board at your opponent." She sighed. "Brutal, inelegant, and effective only in the basest sense."
Suddenly, a wicked grin crossed her face.
"We only have three weeks, correct?" she asked. "And there's fourteen wells of mana to drive, correct? Well,t ehn. I propose we split into teams - Ra and Set can do things their way, Monthu and I can do things ours, and Ma'at can pick who she wishes to travel with or simply go on her own. Whoever digst he most wells with the least incurred casualties wins." She was practically purring.

Ra put his hands behind his back, and was staring out of the window, "You all think this would have been quiet? There were bound to be some fire, and bound to be some loss. If you expected anything else, then you are a fool. I was put in charge because I know what I am doing, and the only thing you must be focused on is how to complete the mission, as one group. The risks I am will pay off, and I will complete this mission. If you want to desert this mission right now, you can. You will just have to survive here and try not to die in this foreign world. This is a potential warzone, the enemy has no idea where we are, and in 2 weeks and 4 days, we will not be on this planet anymore." He faced them, and walked towards them, "With the exception of one of you, you all have no idea what a recon mission of this caliber is like, or what to expect. This isn't some game, we make the wells, and we move on. You will have to get your hand dirty, because the laws we were bound to are now gone for this mission."

Set had walked in, and he took off of his bazooka, and he sat down. Running around with the bazooka, firing mana bombs out of it, it was very tired. He really didn't care of what they were talking about, he has been on this planet for 6 months, and soon... He would be going home.

Her amused expression became a dark glare.
"I don't care about the laws. I don't care about the loss of life. I care that I was told I was signing up for a stealth mission, and what I got was a firefight. I'm combat-ready and combat-capable, but this is not combat. This is folly. This is not a recon mission, this is interplanetary war. And I won't die so that you can fulfill your male ego. Sure, it wouldn't have been simple, or easy, or completely according to plan - but it would've been a damn sight easier and a whole lot less bloody." She huffed. "Just because there are no laws here, you think you can do whatever you desire. Fine; I'll take my chances with the planet." She waved and took her stuff, started to walk off.
"Monthu!" she called. "I'm leaving. If you want to tag along, come on."

"Sorry Boss." He said, hopping down from the counter and stepping over to Bast.
"I'm in the same boat, I'm an archer, I work best in stealthy conditions and that just downright wasn't stealthy." He frowned and looked across at Ra. "I know you're doing a mission and stuff, but seriously? I think it's somewhat foolish of us to take a stealthy mission like planting these wells and then go in all guns blazing. What was stopping, say, Bast walking into the village acting like a pilgrim or some similar jazz, planting the well then getting the hell out? I mean, seriously, Boss. You had Set launch a bazooka at the village, not really my definition of 'subtle' to be honest."
He gave a shrug before nudging Bast "Besides, I'm a survival expert, I've lived in the harshest climates with nothing, and as long as I have this." He touched his bow almost affectionately "I'm safe. Bast, we going?"

"You two are so naive." He said to both of them. "You do realize what I did, firing the bazooka did make it less bloody. Let's say we just walked into town and set the device off. All of those people would have turned into what Anubis got turned into. At least we cleared them out and stop less death, but because it interfered with your pride, you are walking away."

Ma'at looked with a shunning glare, stating "..no one is above the law. Not even me," and with that, she placed her spear down, looking toward Monthu and Bast- "I...don't think it's wise to go. You'd be abandoning your home life, for a new world sure, but a world that not even these 'special forces' know about.."
She said this all for her own sake, deliberating the two sides.
"...Monthu, Bast.." she sighed and stood up, backing into a corner, "...Where will you go to change the world or find the most exciting marvel if you die in a world where an entire province knows who you are, and can find you as we have done just as you say, 'waged war?'.."
She sighed and held her spear up, "If anything, I need to go back for Isis, with you two or with you two." she pointed to Monthu and Bast, then Ra and Set.
"I don't care which, but if I am needed, say so, or I suppose I must go alone."
She sighed out, and awaited responses.

"If you wish to come with us, I have no objections," Bast replied to Ma'at. "But it's likely we won't be heading back to where we came from; it's a long way, if I'm correct, and we're only interested in moving forward." She shrugged. "Best go off on your own if you're to look for Isis. We'll support you should we cross paths again!"
She slung her pack over her shoulder, waved to Monthu, and set off away from the group once more.

Monthu stood at the doorway, unsure of which action to take... Could he simply walk out on a mission like this? What awaited him outside of that door anyway, death? Something worse? He had nothing to go home to, his family was dead or thought that he was dead, and the prospect of exploring a new world was exciting... But he had made a promise when he started this mission. He should see it through...
"Wait!" He called, holding an arm out to Bast and his other out to Ra, as if stood in the middle ground here with Ma'at. "I take no side, not yet." He looked from one to the other.
"I promised to fulfill a mission, and in reality I should." He looked across at Ra "But I want all of the facts, now. I want to know who why we're doing this and what we're up against, no more secrets."

"I told you what I do know." He said as he held out his sword. "I only know why we are doing this. Mana is basically the ultimate material. You can manipulate to create energy, medical and weaponry, and with an unlimited source, we will be able to do stuff that we never thought possible." Ra looked over at Set, "As for what we are up against, you will need to talk to Set. It was his job."

Set looked up as he was about to nodded off. He pulled out a paper, and looked at the paper. "Beside weather, and animals, there are a couple of groups that we should watch out for. They were called the Heroes, or something. If the sources were right, the green hair man, and the other one, were members. The green haired man is called Yeligar Maelstrom, a former warlord of Crepusculum, a kingdom. Warlord here are similar to General, and not as in our world. He is also the leader of the Heroes. The leader of the kingdoms are normally solidarity from one another, so that shouldn't be a problem. There are 2 other group that is associated with the heroes, but they are separated from them. One of them is called the Kishu, they consist of 4 or so members. The other group is called the Lunar Knights, they have recently started up, but they are disorganized right now, however they are powerful warriors."

"Hear that, Bast? Powerful warriors who I bet won't be all too happy at what we've been up to either." He looked back at Bast, possibly his only true ally so far in this entire mess. But he knew that if they went out there on their own they would need to learn the land, survive, and constantly look over their own shoulders.
"Look at it this way, if Mr Bazooka goes off on an explosive tangent again when stealth was perfectly possible, we can walk, and I assure you that we'll do that together, but right now? If we go out there we'll barely last a week if that." He frowned, he hated admitting his own weakness, but he was also wise enough to know that this was a world that we didn't know.
"Besides, we need Mr Bazooka to tell us what's dangerous, and what isn't... As much as I hate to admit that..."
