This is shorter than I hoped... But I can add stuff to it later, I guess! This is sort of Canon. Sort of isn't. All will become clearer at a later date, but for now, just sit back and enjoy the ride!

P.S: There is a lot of shouting in this :3
“To hell with the King!” A voice cried, thrusting an axe up into the air with a solid nod. “To hell with the Kingdom!” He added, turning round to the people who were stood behind him, they all gave a unified cheer and raised makeshift weapons of their own and started to rally behind the man with the axe “Freedom for the woodcutters!” He finally roared, and they all cheered as one before pouring onto the streets, between them they filled the street shoulder to shoulder, they poured through towards the castle, believing that nothing could possibly go wrong, they were vast in number and had the element of surprise, victory was there’s nothing that could go wrong.
“Now, now… This is all a bit angry, isn’t it?” A calm voice spoke before them, a young man with blonde hair stood before them, a long, slender rapier sat in the palm of his hand, the tip of the blade touching the floor with some of his weight pressed onto it. He wore a regal uniform and had large blue eyes, he had an air of authority about him and an easy-going smile was spread across his face.
“Who do you think you’re talking to?!” The lead woodcutter cried, motioning at the man with his axe.
“Dez...” Another rioter said with a slight gulp “That’s… That’s the Crown Prince, Goti!”
Suddenly, Dez frowned and gave a slight growl. He shook his head and swung his axe at thin air as a show of strength before motioning to one of the men beside him. “You! Go spill some blue blood…”
The man nodded, brandished an axe and ran towards Goti with the weapon raised above his head, aiming to finish him in one blow. Goti merely looked up to the sky and shook his head as a small shadow gathered about the rioter. The rioter took notice and stopped, before looking up to the sky.
CRASH!
A man garbed in red armour, exposing his chest was crouched on the rioters back, the axe-wielding robber’s face pile driven into the ground, groaning softly in pain. The man stood up, spiky brown hair fluttering in the dusty wind as he brandished two trident spears in his hands.
“I-it’s!” One of the rioters called out. “It’s the Crimson Dragon! Edo!”
Edo spun one of his spears above his head before leaping off of the rioters back and landing beside Goti, tossing the spear up into the air, Edo spun around and stabbed the other into the floor, the spear points facing up to the sky as he held out a hand, grabbed the second from its flight and pointed it across at the group of men before him.
“You would dare harm our Lord?!” He cried, picking up his other trident and holding them both behind his back, looking across at Goti he smiled. “Are you okay, brother?”
“Me, Edo?” Goti said with a smile “Oh, I’m fine… It’s them I’m worried about…” He kicked his rapier into his hand and moved it in an arc, encompassing all of the men before them. “They are in for a very bad day.”
Edo frowned “My Lord?” He asked “We’re not normally so aggressive in battle, what’s so different today?” Suddenly, a deep rumbling voice roared out behind them.
“YOU WOULD DARE TOUCH MY LORDS?!”
“Ah…” Edo said, with a small nod. “They are going to have a very bad day indeed…”
A man in a tight orange outfit with black stripes, a green vest over the top of it, a rope tied around his waist holding some lamellar armour around his thighs, light green pants, red boots, gauntlets, and most notably, a large red headdress made out of horsehair, with two black horns protruding from it, burst in between the two young men, holding a huge poleaxe shaped like a generals fan in one hand.
“Sensei…” Goti said with a small nod “How nice of you to join us!”
“Prince Goti!” He rumbled in return with a nod, before looking across at Edo “Edo.” He said with another nod, before motioning to the crowd before them. “What is all this mess about?!” The man was massive in stature and seemed to be in his late 40’s with a black, greying moustache and beard on his chin.
“It seems that the local woodcutters feel we could do them a grander service, Sensei.” Goti said with a nod, before holding his rapier at the ready, but his Sensei waved him down with a low growl.
“Let me handle this…” He rumbled as he took a step forwards and slammed the butt of his poleaxe into the ground with a roar. “You impudent worms! You scum! You vermin!” He roared at the crowds. “You, woodcutters, of all people expect to have sway in this kingdom?! That has few trees?! I have never met anyone with such a tenacity as to bring violence onto my Lords streets! 20 years he has ruled in peace! And you dare think you have the gall to interrupt that?!” He swung his axe over his head in a huge arc before slamming it down into the ground with a very large, very heavy thud, before glaring up at the men before him, most of them had fallen to the ground before the earth shaking blow.
“Well, let me tell you this! Any who wish to depose my Lord will first have to go through me!”
The rioters all started to shake, before they dropped whatever weapons that they had in their hands, turning tail, and fleeing out of the nearest gates, no doubt back to their villages to tell the tale of the furious man that they had just encountered.
Meanwhile, back on the streets of the capital, the huge Sensei pulled his axe out of the ground, held it in one hand and gave a firm nod. Turning round, he looked at the two young men before him, Goti’s expression was one of amusement, a smug smile spread across his face as he sheathed his rapier and called out for a horse, to ride back to the palace. Edo looked completely deflated, propping his spears up against a house, he rushed over to his Sensei.
“Sensei~!” He whined with a frown “Why didn’t you let me handle that?! I could have handled it!
“FOOL!” His Sensei roared in reply, swinging a huge fist towards Edo, it collided against his jaw with all the force of a brick wall, sending his young student flying backwards into a nearby solid wall, trapping him in a crater within. Edo groaned for a minute before pulling himself free with a slight grunt, Edo watched on amused.
“Here we go again…” He thought with a shake of his head “They’re both as stubborn as each other…”
“Edo!” Sensei called, propping his axe up against the same house that Edo’s spears were. He placed his hands on his hips and glared across at his student.
Edo pulled himself up with a groan, a glint appeared in his eyes, and with a huge grin upon his face, he started sprinting back towards his Sensei. “Yes, Sensei?!” He called as he ran forwards.
“What is the duty of a Wolf Guard?!” He asked him as the young man ran towards him.
“To serve and protect his Lord with his life!” Edo cried, almost within reach of his Sensei.
“Wrong…”[/b] His Sensei growled as he pulled back his arm. “ANSWER!”[/b]
He swung his arm forwards and once against collided with Edo’s jaw, sending him flying all the way back to the wall from which he had come from and sticking him in it once again. Straightening up, he glared across at Edo.
“The duty of a Wolf Guard is to surrender his entire life in the duty of his Lord, every aspect of it! He doesn’t serve his Lord with his life, he gives it unto him!” As he was speaking, Edo was pulling himself from the wall and running back towards his Sensei.
“No!” Edo called as he went “No righteous leader with honour would ask as such from his people! The duty you described however, is that of every warrior under a Liege, not just a Wolf Guard!”
They both swung for one another at the same time, two fists collided with two jaws and their faces turned away from one another as they shot daggers towards the other. Edo continued his explanation, although slightly muffled by the way that his Sensei’s fist was stuffed into the side of his jaw.
“For a Wolf Guard…” He said “Life is non-existent!” They are not a Lord’s guard! They are his sword, his shield and his armour! Without them, their Lord is near naked, unprotected from threats, and unable to strike back!”
They both moved their hands away and looked across at each other, panting, Sensei looked up at Edo and spoke. “Good answer…” He rumbled, before his eye glinted. “But tell me…”
“WHY DIDN’T YOU SAY THAT IN THE FIRST PLACE?!”[/b]
He swung his fist towards Edo, and the young man winced in preparation for the blow, but it did not connect, opening his eyes, he saw his Sensei’s fist hovering in front of his face, and he gulped.
“Uh-oh…”
A huge gust of air washed it’s way over Edo, before sending him flying to the floor and sending him sliding a few feet before his head collided with the wall of the house on which their weapons were propped, knocking them to the floor. His Sensei tightened the rope belt around his waist with a nod before walking over to Edo and picking up his axe.
“You have a lot to learn yet, young Edo.” He said with a nod as he took a few steps back. The young man also stood up with a groan, raising a hand to his head head, he picked up his two spears in the other and slung them over his back. Looking up at his Sensei, he gave him a huge grin.
“Under your tutelage, Sensei!” He cried, walking behind him. “I shall learn it all, and be the best guard ever!” His Sensei chuckled as they walked past Goti, who also fell in line.
“If either of you work hard enough…” Their Sensei said. “You may both turn out to be half the men that your fathers are.” The two young men smiled and looked across at one another before Goti finally spoke.
“I must be going, I have some business to attend to.” The group came to a halt, and Edo and his Sensei both saluted Goti, who gave them both a nod.
“Farewell, Brother!” Edo cried, and Goti gave him a second nod.
“Farewell, Brother…” He said “Sensei.” He bowed to the large man and went on his way, the other two turned back towards the barracks, their destination, and went on their way.
“You’re lucky to have him as a brother, Edo.” He said in his rumbling tones with a nod. “Sworn brother or no, you have each other’s blood running through your veins, and that is a gift that no-one can take away from you. Your fathers and I have that same gift, and it makes you all the stronger, knowing that you have agreed to be as one.” Edo nodded in response.
“I just hope that I can do my Lord and Brother justice!” His Sensei gave a deep and rumbling laugh before patting Edo on the shoulder.
“I wouldn’t worry about that, boy. I wouldn’t worry about that at all…”
I think this is a nice image to describe this.
