Hey there, everyone. I'm sure you've seen the two threads going on with my character, Rin Tezuka. Whether or not you've been following them, I'm actually just here to introduce myself. It might get lengthy, because this is all I really know about myself that I'm willing to share.
I figure if I'm in a community, it'd be best to make myself known. I like introducing myself on forums, because it's just the kind of person I am. I'm social.
So, hello, to all reading this! My name is Brendan. You can call me Bren-chan if you like. I have plenty of other nicknames/aliases if you don't prefer either of those (I seriously don't mind). Just ask. If there's something you want to personally call me in the future, just.. ask me first. I'd like to know exactly what you're calling me, and what it means. .-. I am sixteen. I will be seventeen on July 5. I am bisexual (Yerp. Flat-out said it. I'm pretty open about it). I have a wonderful girlfriend now, as of the other day. I'm mildly Manic-Depressive Bipolar. But only mildly. (Gosh, do I love sarcasm. I'd adapt to it).
I'd like to start by saying that I've been roleplaying for six years. Well, almost seven now. I started on gaiaonline.com, where I've just recently quit. It's a bit emotional, but eh. They're redundant now. My best strength is character development, and their original creation. Characters are fun. As for stories... eh, not so much. Occasionally I have a wave of inspiration and create really good story ideas. But not very much so. But yes, six years, characters, that's the important part here.
I'm going to be a Senior in high school when classes start again in September. School is not my favorite thing in the world, but I understand its point. And it's not all bad. I'm not the type of guy who sits around and hates on school. Nor do I like it particularly, but eh. Whatever. Gotta do it.
Roleplaying is my release. I appease many of the characters that dwell in my thoughts by letting them have their stories. It lets me get as violent or romantic or... well, anything, as I want or need to. I can be crazy as I think I am or as subtle as I wish I was without the criticism of another. And I love that sort of freedom.
I have a problem with hospitals, and with my father. Please avoid both subjects with me, unless I bring them up.
Let's leave that stuff alone now. INTERESTS ARE IMPORTANT, RIGHT?!
I love music. I can't do anything without music. I can't read, I can't write, I can't talk. Hell, I'm surprised I can breathe when I have no music. My music is very important to me. I need the sound, and I need the stories. I love rock, all forms of it, and I like Dubstep. I'll also listen to songs of any genre if the lyrics are meaningful. And by that, I mean they're NOT about goin' to da club an' gettin' lady folk. I wanna hear the stories of the greatest pains and joys in life. And if I don't care about that, I want to hear the actual music.
I also very much love hearing the organ being played dramatically.
Like everyone else on the Internet (HAHA, Sarcasm, don't hit me please) I like anime. Anime is... well, when I had nothing, I had anime. Whether or not I like the story, I have the memories. I follow Naruto like every other child. Stopped following Bleach at the Quincy arc. FLCL was the best six-episode anime ever. Black Rock Shooter is the most recently finished anime I've seen. (If you actually care about this subject, feel free to talk to me privately. I don't wanna list all this out right now).
Video games is the same as anime, with the being there and not wanting to list it all out. But I do play a bit of every genre.
I think the most important thing I want to say is what I want to do after graduation. I want to go into writing. I think I want to be a journalist. But a novelist could be possible, too. I want to share my writing. It's one of the few things I take pride in knowing I do well in. Roleplaying isn't my best display of it, but that's because I'm mostly interested in the other person's writing. But I like the idea of roleplaying. Two people writing a fun story together. I want to be a journalist, though. Music journalism, maybe, since music is so important to me. ^^ Of course, I'm forming a band right now. And there's always that 1/98678987654 chance we get big! (sarcasm).
I think I'm done with this. This is becoming a novel. And not a very interesting one. .-. I think I just rambled all that out.
But thanks for having me on your site, and I look forward to meeting you all, and maybe we can pick up a story together, eh? ^^
