Navarre sat on the deck looking out to sea, reminding him of home in Australia. Navarre was a man of the sea, and he felt natural out here, but that wasn't the expression on his face. He kept thinking about the person who had almost blast him. It seems that he knew him, but he needed to relax. They were now heading to Unda to stop them here. He didn't realize that a person had sat next to him.

Gensayce was not a man of the sea. He was used to the firm landmass of Ghiaccio and since forming the Kishu, Ignis. The only swaying motion that he had adjusted to was the saddle of a horse, so safe to say he felt a little sea sick. All the same, he managed to compose himself and not blow his lunch into the ocean, so that much was good. Taking the seat next to Navarre, he looked across at the hero, he seemed to be lost in thought for a moment, so he left him to it, that is until he actually seemed to note his presence.
Gensayce placed a fist into his palm and nodded across at Navarre, the closest thing he could do to a bow without standing up or hitting his head against the railing.
"You seemed lost for a moment, Sir." He said, firmly tightening his grip on the railing once again, for the slightest fear of having to be rocked around any more than necessary. "I thought it best to simply leave you to it, for the time being."

"Hmm?" Navarre snapped out of his mind, looking over to Gensayce, "Oh sorry. I'm still not use to this planet. It's amazing." He said as he looked at the water again, "It's also weird, I don't think many people expected another world would be like this, back on earth."

"I can't imagine being away from it..." He muttered with a nod "I still struggle to accept that Earth exists. People such as yourself, Andy and Roxa who visited Earth to recruit Van, are the only firm reasons to believe that it does." He smiled slightly, it was odd how two planets could be so close with destinies so intertwined, and then be so far away from one another. Still, home was a touchy subject for most, and he dare not risk upsetting someone he barely knows, so he changed the topic.
"I have not yet been to see Ma'at since Roccia. How is she?"

"Last I heard, she is still in the medic dock." Navarre said, looking out to the sea "I didn't get to see her, but maybe she can explain what is going on. I know that the scholar mate said they were planning invasion, but if you ask me, that seems... odd with the group they sent. "

"Are you sure this isn't just the advance team?" Kouji asked. He and Kouichi had met up with each other in Vuoto and joined up with the Heroes as they left Alberisato. "From everything you've said, they sound military - it could be they're just the scouts, the setup. In my experience, the big guys don't get their hands dirty until they're good and ready..."

"I do not know..." Gensayce said with a frown. He wasn't wearing his usual armour today whilst on the boat, he was wearing a plain white tunic that had the Ghiaccian seal stitched into the breast as well as a pair of plain and simple brown bottom with black boots.
"They did not seem to have the unity of a military force." He added, turning to face Kouji, still gripping one hand to the railing. "The way that the apparent leader talked to Ma'at... I do not know. It's like they were all there for different reasons and most of them didn't even want to be there. They showed unity at first, but when things got tough, they all seemed... Scared..."

He thought for a moment, looking up at the sky, trying to formulate an answer that would make sense to the warrior.
"Gensayce," he began slowly. "What if I were to tell you that on Earth, we have metal carts that drive themselves, hundreds of times faster than any horse ever born? That there are buildings full of machines that each do the work of a hundred men, controlled not by a human being but by another machine that thinks for itself?"He looked out over the ocean. "That in my world, this journey, which will take us days at least and weeks at most by ship, could be accomplished in a single day?"
He shook his head.
"You said yourself, you can barely believe in the mere existence of another world, much less one like ours. If all of that world's force suddenly showed up and demonstrated itself to you... wouldn't you be a little nervous?" He laughed. "Nobody on Earth even believes magic exists. When Allessia cast her firebird, it's no wonder they ran like rabbits."

"But if I believed in my cause, and came face to face with such things, I would face them head on. Any good commander knows that to inspire loyalty, he needs to help them face the unknown." He shook his head with a small frown. "Ma'at offered to stay back and fight to the death for a cause which she clearly had no heart for. And her commander... He treated her like she was stabbing him in the back, despite what she was willing to give." He looked up at Kouji.
"There is no unity in that group. Or little of it either way. They as a whole do not trust each other, and I doubt that if we faced them head on, they would stand against us. But then, under such odd they may become even more dangerous." He sighed "Roxa would be a big help right now..."

"Yea, their unity might not be a problem. They are quite powerful on their own, though if we do break up their unity, it wouldn't say that it would be helpful." Navarre said, as he pondered, "Hey Kouji, you said you are from Earth, yes?"

"Yeah," he replied, looking at Navarre. "Why?"

"If this is like what the scholar said, what is the point of invading Allorum?" Navarre asked, as he looked from the sea to Kouji, "What nation would want to invade here, and for what reason?"
