"Hm? Doctors?" I shudder at the word. "Doctors would just blame it on my not-arms. I don't want that... Besides if I go now, your painting won't get finished... Then what?" I laugh lightly, the way a dizzy person does. But I let myself collapse in his arms. "...Fine..."

"I promise, I won't let them blame it on your not-arms," I swore solemnly, then closed my eyes.
Sister, I said calmly, please ask Kerrian to ask 'Guo to fetch a healer?
She laughed.
What am I going to do with the two of you? she asked affectionately. Consider it done.[/u]

A few minutes later...
'Guo swiftly came bursting in with his halberd in hand, running with the thing strapped across his back was far too troublesome, and he had a healer in tow. By 'in tow' it was more like he was holding onto a healer by the wrist and was dragging him along rather unceremoniously, before releasing him once they reached the pair.
"We got here as soon as we could!" He said, showing little evidence of fatigue, and his smile only slightly dampened with worry. He nudged the healer forwards, who abruptly spoke.
"Or rather... He got here as soon as he could... I-... I came faster... It's h-... Hard to keep to human speeds when you're being... dragged along... by him... Gods know how he has such stamina..."
'Guo ignored the healers words as he propped up his halberd and walked over to the pair, seemingly relieved that the wound wasn't as bad as he'd initially thought. When Ryn number two had told him, through Kerrian, that Rin number one had hurt herself, he'd flapped about a little bit like a headless chicken, more over for the fact that on Vuoto, any wounds he'd received were healed by his father, who... Well, wasn't the most dexterous of men with a needle and thread. It had taken Ryn number two's soothing words, through Kerrian (oddly not having quite the same affect thanks to his tone), to persuade him to go and get a healer.
"How are you?" He asked before looking at Vash "How is she? Is it bad? It's not bad is it..?" He quickly glanced at the wound before being swatted away by the healer. "It doesn't look bad... I hope it's not bad... If it was bad? That would suck. I'm gonna' get hit with a spoon, aren't I? It's okay. I don't mind. It's worth it! I need to make sure my friends are okay!"

"Don't worry," I told him. "She fell and hit her head - it doesn't look bad, but..." I shrugged. "Head wounds are tricky. It'll be alright, 'Guo. She's tough." Then I grinned. "Red, even."

"Well! That's a relief!" 'Guo said with a heavy sigh and wide grin, as the portrait of Vash suddenly caught his eye. He only saw it in his peripheral vision but the colours were intense, the look in Vash's eyes seemed misty and clouded with emotion. 'Guo's smile faded slightly and he cocked his head to the side before his grin returned, albeit somewhat dimmed, a much more natural smile than the ones he usually gives.
"Vash..." He said, taking a step towards the portrait. "That's you, isn't it?"

I glanced at it.
"Yeah," I said. "She's pretty good, huh? It's not finished. I don't know if it will be, considering we had sort of an argument befre she hit her head..." And please, Mothers, do not let him ask what about.

"You had an argument..?" He asked, turning to face Vash, his smile still there, but only in the shape of one of the corners of his mouth tugging upwards, this looked dangerously close to disappearing as well. "Wh-why did you argue?" He frowned now, looking down, almost hurt, which was odd considering that it wasn't him whom had been arguing. It was more than likely his pacifist nature, even the idea of conflict was saddening to him.
"Actually... Nevermind..." He said, looking up at Vash, a smile painted on his features once again. "It's your business, right? I'll keep my nose out of it!"

I smiled. "Don't worry about it, 'Guo. She's the one who made me cry, so I think we're all good. I had a few things I needed to work out with myself, and, as usual, Rin hi tthe nail on the head." I smiled at her, mouth quirking up into a smile as the healer applied bandages and whatnot. I resisted the urge to ruffle her hair - it would get in the healer's way, and I didn't think Rin would appreciate it.

"Ngh..." I grumble, feeling my hair being pushed around. It was a good feeling, like a mother tending to her child... Opening my eyes, I realized I was still in Vash's arms. "What's happening, Blondie..?" Something was sticking to my head. "Ah. Is the doctor already here...? Hi, doctor."

"You shouldn't overdo things, Miss Tezuka," the doctor said, but I shook my head.
"She wasn't overdoing it," I said. "With hard streets like this, it's kind of a wonder that everyone doesn't hit their heads this hard all the time."
The healer chuckled. "Suppose you're right. Well, you're all patched up; just... be careful, alright?"

"Careful, huh...?" I get off of Vash and give the doctor the laziest, most unamused look I've ever given. "No promises, doc. I plan on getting hurt quite a bit more than this. It's a little hard to avoid, if you catch my drift." I wave my stubs, as if to emphasize my point.

I raised an eyebrow at her. "And who was it who was telling me not to be defeatist earlier?" I whispered, before looking abck at the doctor. "DOn't worry, Doctor; she's just become my student, so she's my responsibility now." I gave him a small glare.

I chuckle. "Defeatist? Who's being that? I'm just being an armless little girl~" Allow me to say this once: I really hate doctors.

"An armless little girl who is an awesome painter!" He corrected her, smiling at the portrait of Vash, before looking up at the sun which was steadily getting dimmer. He sighed contently, there was nothing better than the sunset, the beautiful colours, the feel of the brisk air and the taste of salt on his... Wait... Why couldn't he taste salt?! He thought back, remembering eating donuts, but not going about his rituals, his daily rituals in appeasement to nature. In all the excitement of becoming a Lunar Knight, travelling, finding Rin and getting to know her, he'd become lax in his ways. And now he'd forgotten his ritual!
Reaching to the top of his head, he patted the flower in the bun of his hair. It was wilting slightly, the vibrant pink becoming a dull salmon. 'Guo instantly sprinted a short distance away, cursing (which was a rare occurance for him) as he went. He eventually sat down, feeling physically weaker, before un-clipping his gourd, closing his eyes, and beginning his ritual.
After smearing salt water on his cheeks, eyelids and lips, he was dead to the world for a time.

I watched him go, a little confused. I did notice he hadn't done his rituals today; maybe they were more than spiritual for him? I shrugged slightly. "So, Rin. Now that the doctor is gone..." because he had left "...what are you going to do?"
