Name: Chika Herrlock - captain 1/2 of Guasto?
Age: 30
Description: 5'6'' and a lady never tells her weight, Chika has long black hair, blue eyes, and pale skin. Alternates between two outfits - one is a short black and white dress (which is usually accompanied by a pair of black shoes on her feet), and the other is a two-pieced black and bright blue dress-like outfit. The top has one, short sleeve coming to the elbow and the skirt is very long - is usually found bare-footed in this one for an unexplained reason. Usually does battle in her black outfit as it is not only more comfortable, but allows for more movement.
Look, images!
Personality: Quiet and obedient, Chika is usually quite calm even when things aren't looking so great for her. Despite her serious demeanour, she has a slight playful side to her and that is what brings her to perceive each battle she gets into as some kind of game. Where she is obedient and isn't quick to mouth off, she isn't easily pushed around either and she has no real known fear.
Alignment: Evil/Sumata
Weapons: A heftily bladed sword that also doubles as a retractable whip as the blade is segmented :3
Combat: If she can, she'll piddle around until she finds a way to make the fight more "fun" - usually adding something that'll end up killing one or both fighters rather than the fighters killing each other. Given the time and left to her own devices, she'll create her own arena filled with explosives, other traps, and obstacles that not only make her opponents have to think to get around, but aggravate the ever-living hell out of them as well.
Her favourite example is her "house of mirrors" - creating many duplicates of herself and positioning mirrors all around the room and telling her opponent that they have to find the real her. It varies whether or not she's merciful enough to let them keep going until they find her or if she just leaps in and kills them - her duplicates all act in the same way as she does, yet not in sync with her so this can prove to be difficult.
Magic: She travels primarily "without" her sword, yet when she needs it it materializes before her in mid-air. Can change her clothes in an instant =p Her 'killing move' consists of some kind of magic from beyond the grave which allows her (via her sword/whip) to tear the person apart and rip the very life out of them mercilessly...and quite painfully!
History: Chika was born and raised in Ariadelvento (the kingdom of the wind/sky) and into a very wealthy family. Her parents, Ramon (father) and Lidia (mother) Herrlock owned a massive mansion and quite a large amount of land. The Herrlock family actively worked on the creation and improvement of flying machines in the country, and they grew quite a reputable name for themselves.
Ramon and Lidia had two daughters, Amelia (the older of three years) and Chika, and the family was rather close with each other. The girls grew up living the lavish life of parties, fine gentlemen and fancy dresses, and their connections with the worlds around them knew no bounds. Both girls, aside from being the very lady-like women they were, were also blessed with being trained at an early age with a sword as their father would say that "every wealthy young lady should know how to kill--you'll understand this, someday." Neither of them understood it, but trusted their father's words nonetheless.
At the early age of eighteen, the young Chika fell in love with a charming young man by the name of Edward Versailles, a Crepusculum knight who also came from Ariadelvento and after one short year the two were to be married.
They were married, and by taking the Versailles' name Chika's portion of her family's fortune now belonged to herself and her new husband.
This happy marriage was short-lived, however. Climbing the staircase to their balcony one sunny day, she found on the deck her husband, Edward, with another young woman in his arms. Without waiting for an explanation, she rushed in threatening to kill the woman and rightfully threw Edward a good piece of her mind.
He took her to the side to calmly explain the situation to her, and she never once realized she was blindly following him to her death. Upon breaking the news to her that she was nothing to him and married her for the family's money, he pushed her from the balcony high above and the young Chika Versailles met her untimely end, and in a miraculously, creepy way, the words of her father rang through her ears before she...didn't die.
She was found by an old woman who watched the whole scene and heard every word. She healed the young woman and took her to her home far away in the land of Guasto, a place most terrifying for someone like Chika.
The little old woman had taken pity on Chika, having been fooled herself by a selfish man in her own youth, and took her in almost like a daughter of her own. As it turned out, the old woman revealed herself to be Misty Vale, a former Sumata warrior of Guasto who acquired a wondrous sword some years too late for her to "use it properly" she worded.
She'd help Chika get on her feet, get her life back, and teach that two-timing snot the lesson he deserved by giving her this sword. At the same time, Misty also requested that a.) the whip-like sword be treated with the utmost respect it deserved, and for Chika to take it to its highest level of power and show the world what it can do, and b.) its loyalty never strays of the Sumata.
With a few years to religiously study the magic of Guasto and practice hard with this sword, constantly testing its magic's extent, Chika did just as the now bed-ridden Misty asked for. Chika joined the Sumata and after a few years of slowly mastering the powerful sword, she quickly climbed the ranks and took down anybody who got in her way, taking the position of captain at the early age of twenty-two.
Her goals now are to uphold her rank with dignity, and to watch carefully the balcony in her old home in Ariadelvento, waiting for Edward to show his face there again (as he packed up and moved away after he saw no body lying in the streets afterward--oops?).
