Home. The edges of Silicis City weren't the home that Roxa had envisioned for the past few months. Gods Garden was beautiful, and it was the place that he'd lived for so long... But it was too painful, his family had died there. Sure, he could visit every now and again, and it would always be his home where he was born, a memory, a shrine. But it wasn't just the memories, truth be told, it was simply too small now. Roxas leaned against the mouth of the network of caves which he, Alessia, Riliath and Gensayce had converted into an effective home. The latter two were off preparing, leaving him alone with his girlfriend... His fiancée.
The corner of his mouth pulled up into a smile as he gazed at the back of her head. They had been through far too much together for him to even think about leaving her, about losing her. His plans were important, but no more important than her, in this land of dust and dirt, she was his rock. She was a safe haven to which he could always return, she was his home. Brick, mortar, concrete, earth, stone. None of those made a home, it's the people within who dictate how comfortable you feel. For so many years he'd been alone, but now he was home. He was safe.
"You've always had me."
Roxa smiled at the velvety voice of his sister. Ever since they had tamed Ave together, sealed away the beast latched on to his sister, Roxa had enjoyed his mind as being his own. Eva spoke rarely. Roxa knew she wasn't actually his sister, she was an embodiment of the power that the ancient spirit, that his bloodline had given to him. She was his innate magical ability incarnate. But she acted as his sister would, she comforted him as his sister would. Roxa liked to believe she was his sister. His smile widened slightly as he continued to watch Alessia silently, his smile faded somewhat as she turned to the side, allowing him to see her profile.
He'd noted the changes first. She had been ill a lot recently, complaining of headaches and bad dreams. Most days she woke him up retching outside, but every time he asked about it she would flat out deny it. He assumed she didn't want to appear weak before him, but he didn't mind that at all. The most tell-tale of signs was forming now, though. The weight gain was slow and steady, Roxa had barely noticed, but now she was significantly larger than usual, but not in an unhealthy way. She again blamed it on living in a cave on unhealthy food... But it couldn't be farther from the truth, Alessia was perfectly healthy, and it wasn't just Alessia either.
She was pregnant.
She was pregnant and she didn't even know it.
Roxa sighed. He'd known for weeks, but he hadn't had the guts to tell her about it. He feared he'd look patronising or insulting if he pointed out something that she so obviously should know herself. But she needed to be ready for this just as much as Roxa's plans. He had to tell her. There could be no more waiting.
He scratched the black, tattoo-like markings on his arms underneath his sleeve as he took a few tentative steps forwards, into the candlelight.
"Hey, Alessia!" He called sheepishly.

A lot was on Alessia's mind, even before the Falcon's had appeared she had been having troubles. Sleepless nights was one of the main problems, other nights when she'd finally get sleep she'd wake up to find she had just accidentally caught their bed on fire.
She couldn't control her powers, it worried her that at any second of the day she might let it all loose, devouring everyone around her in a wave of destructive light.
She wondered if something similar had happened all those years ago. Was the reason why she had no memories because she slowly lost control of her powers?
A voice suddenly snapped her out of her thoughts and back into reality. She turned over to Roxa and smiled at him. With everything going on it made her feel weak and powerless. Not unlike the final moments before being sealed all those years ago, she felt helpless to the path fate seemed to want to lead her down.
Roxa though, if it was one thing that was keeping her from going insane right now it was him. She did her best to seem strong and in control in his presence, not like it was something he demanded of her, but she did not wish to feel useless to the team. She wanted to help.
"Oh, hey Roxa!" She called back, brushing away some hair that had fallen over her right eye before speaking again, "Are we ready to move or something?"

"Not yet." Roxa said with a small smile as he took a few more steps forwards and crossed his arms against his chest. "Roccia's becoming a hotpot of hatred and anxiety at the minute... I'm just dropping in for today, then I'm heading back to Silicis City tomorrow. These people don't properly believe yet, they don't see a potential leader... They see just a symbol. I'm going to give them a face to rally behind, hopefully it'll incite the riots that we want, whilst I pull away from the whole thing. Once the people claim the housing districts, me, Riliath and Gensayce will march on in and take the place." He looked across at Alessia and gave a small laugh.
"But that's not what I'm here to talk about, there's something far more important that we need to discuss first, Alessia... And that's you..." His smile faded slightly. "I want to talk about you for a bit, Alessia."

She blinked, she had honestly feared this moment for awhile now. She was a wreck and he knew it, "O-Oh..."
Could he had finally had enough of her failures, was he about to break up with her? It was as if he had already said it, tears began to build and she was fighting all urges to cry. Her tattoo hummed a soft almost tearful sound, comparable to that of a light bulb that was about to overload and blackout.
"I know what this is about..." she sighed, "I-I'm truly sorry Roxa and I'd understand if you'd would want to leave me because of it."

Roxa narrowed his eyes into a sly smile as he chuckled. "What?" He asked as he walked up to Alessia and placed his hands on her shoulders and leaned down slightly, tilting his head to the side as he looked into her eyes, his smile widening.
"You know..? To be honest, you seemed pretty oblivious about it all! I thought that you didn't have a clue... I was about to ask you if you knew anyway, but you just answered everything... But seriously, Alessia? Why would I want to leave you now..? If anything, now is the time where I want to be with you the most! You silly dolt!"

The tattoo died down a bit with Roxa's words of assurance and Alessia did her best to get control of her emotions. Sadly, the two of them were talking about two different things; Alessia was talking about a lack of control (which probably was a result of what Roxa was speaking of) and Roxa was talking about Alessia being pregnant. Alessia rubbed her eyes, wiping away the tears about as fast as they would form.
"B-Because I'm a danger," she gulped, "How many times have you received burns from my powers? I do not wish to hurt you any further, Roxa."

"Wait..." Roxa said as he moved his head back a bit and narrowed his eyes. "You think this is about your lack of control..?" He grinned across at his fiancée. "Alessia, this is something completely different... Although I'm guessing it has a direct impact on your power control. I honestly can't believe that you haven't noticed yet!" He smiled at her.
"Alessia, believe me, I'm not leaving you... I'm not leaving either of you yet."

She stared at him, dumbfounded for a moment before her eyes grew wide in surprise, "I... what... uh..." She blinked once more. Now that he suggested it she herself began to see the signs, and for once in what felt like a long time things started to become clear for her.
The weight gains, her inability to keep food down at night and the emotional ride that she just went through seemed to lead to one answer.
"You're saying... I'm pregnant?" The question was followed by a small nervous laugh and a string of rambling that was inaudible, "Oh Roxa, this is great! Um... it is great, right?"
Good news: she wasn't going crazy, she's just pregnant!

Roxa nodded, barely containing his laughter at her reaction. He decided to take the much safer option and instead pulled her into a hug, a broad smile spreading across his face as he buried it within her hair.
"Of course it's great!" He murmured, closing his eyes as he pictured the family that had been snatched from him when he was so young. The family that Alessia had never known. They were both pieces missing the rest of their jigsaw, and now here they were making their own. That's why his plans had to take such a precedence now, he needed to make sure that he secured a life for his new family. He moved his face away from Alessia, looking down at her with a small smile. For the first time in many years, his eyes glistened with tears as he spoke.
"We're going to have a family, Alessia. We're going to be parents."

There were plenty of things that were running through her head, plenty of questions that needed answering before she could put her mind to rest. However, she simply put those thoughts aside and embraced Roxa. The fearful tears had turned to joyful tears, the warm liquid streamed down her soft skin steadily and fell onto Roxa's shoulder, soaking into the black cloak.
"I can't even find words to describe what I'm feeling," she said with complete honesty, there weren't much words that could describe going from disappointment, to fear and then to the highest form of happiness.
"What are we supposed to do next?" She asked, hoping that once more he'd be the one with all the answers.

"We continue with our plans. But we also make sure that we're prepared..." He said, gently stroking the back of her head. "I'm taking no risks with this at all... I don't want you in Silicis City when everything happens, I'm going to have four men here at all times, one of them a medic, one to act as a messenger and two to act as guards. If you go into labor whilst I'm in the middle of the city, I'm personally pulling out and leaving it to Riliath and Gensayce." He nodded slowly.
"I'm definitely making sure that you're safe, though."

Alessia wasn't terribly far into the pregnancy so worrying about going into labor was some distance away, but that was very much Roxa's personality, always making plans for the future.
Under normal circumstances, she'd argue about being left behind and instead wish to go with him, but these were not normal circumstances and she'd probably be more of a hindrance to the Kishu than anything else.
"I'll be fine, Roxa," Alessia attempted to assure him, "I mean... I'll be fine for now. Besides I'm like a walking time bomb, I don't think you have to worry about anyone hurting me." She laughed awkwardly until adding, "That's actually not a very funny thought..."
At this point she decided to shut up before worrying Roxa further.

"Precautions are precautions. I'm definitely making sure that you're safe. The guards, messenger and healer are going to be here with you at all times if I'm not. That's non-negotiable, so you'll just have to put up with them. As for if you start to lose control of your power, well, that's what the messenger's for. If things get really bad I can come back and seal whatever I can, just like I did with Ave." He was speaking of the seals on his arms and chest which kept the somewhat angrier half of his sister's conscience locked away from her actual power.

"Well... that's nice to know..." Alessia sighed. The idea of losing her ability to control her powers to the point where Roxa would need to seal it both humiliating and frightening. But this was all new to her, perhaps if she could actually understand the way her powers worked and how she even got them than perhaps she would feel more confident about the entire thing.
She didn't though and her only hope for confidence was the fact Roxa was still smiling. As long as he was confident about this than she could be too.
She closed her eyes for a moment before looking back at Roxa, "I understand, no negotiations necessary. You aren't leaving now, are you?"

Roxa gave his head a firm shake.
"Not yet. We have a while to wait for now. Riliath and Gensayce need to position their troops not too far from Silicis City yet, then I'm going to go in and get things warmed up for everyone. As soon as everything kicks off, we'll deliver the hammer blow and everything as quickly as it began... Or rather, that's how I'm hoping it works out..."
Truth be told, Roxa sort of knew that it wasn't going to be that simple.
