Player: Miri
Name: Alex (Last name thought to be Darkend)
Description: Longish black hair, green eyes. Alex wears a black cloak almost always. He has a tattoo of three black rings around his neck. The cloak has been shown to cover two sets of white wings - one feathered like an angel, one scaled like a dragon's... or a demon's. Very few people know about this, although most of the Sumata found out before the end of the War. Alex is beginning to wear his wings openly for the sheer impressiveness factor.
Age: Thought to be 19 now
Personality: Alex is extremely loyal to the king of Santo-Luce and would literally die for his country. He's got a strict personal code of honor that he follows, but he's a bit of a jerk and often taunts anyone he sees as an enemy, whether it's a hero or a Nerezzan soldier. He has a very annoying habit of believing he and his country are right and nobody else knows what the hell they're talking about. This has toned down a bit recently as his smug self-confidence has been shaken severely by recent events. He's also been shown to be a bit of a flirt, although maybe a little uncomfortable in the role after a while. He has an insatiable thirst for knowledge about his power and past.
Place of Origin/Home: Lux-Lucis, Santo-Luce; native to Earth
Alignment: Follows Alexander; thus, Good
Occupation: Captain of Santo-Luce
Equipment: Just his longsword, which he's named Brightshine, and his cloak.
Weapons: Brightshine, a +1 Longsword
-Abilities: It's... a +1 Longsword. That's kinda shiny. And might possibly be more than a +1 Longsword against darkness creatures.
Combat: Alex's fighting style is very agressive, based almost entirely on offense; most of his defensive moves serve offensive purposes as well. He is a head-on attacker that does not retreat until he is defeated in his own mind.
Magic: Alex doesnt' know any magic, but his sword never dulls and strikes more accurately than most. He has used strange abilities in combat against Miri - a black-and-red lightning that seemed fueled by his hatred. He hasnt' been able to do it consciously yet and it seems to be a power from his past.
Flaws: As mentioned above, Alex was (and to a point still is) very sarcastic, jerkish, and patriotic to the point of snobbishness. Even though it's toned down, the confusion left behind is almost no better. The year since the Sumata were defeated hasn't helped any, especially since he hasn't seen Miri - the only one with answers to his past - since the Heroes returned to Earth. He is afraid of the strange powers he possesses and cannot control it at will.
History: Alex's past is mostly a mystery, even to him. A couple years ago, his life was saved by someone from the Santo-Lucian castle and he joined the army, rising quickly through the ranks to Captain. It seems that he may, possibly, have originally come from Earth, and Miri seems to know a great deal about him... she also seems to hate him with a fiery passion for something he doesn't remember doing.
In the time since they first met on Earth, Miri and Alex have had other encounters, most less than peaceful, and he has slowly begun to learn more about himself. She claims that he betrayed her for power, but the exact moment of his betrayal never surfaces. What he does remember is a cold, fierce woman with a commanding, evil voice, telling him to stamp out the darkness. Only bits and fragments remain in his memory of those times, but whatever happened, he did gain power - his wings, no longer the permanent mark of a demon he once feared they were, are one such power; the other is the black lightning that comes whenever he becomes enraged.
The end of the War signaled the return of the Heroes to Earth, but it didn't ease Alex's mind; now, there were no more answers to his questions, the only key to his past hidden beyond the veil. Still, he does have some answers, and his search for more never ends; he continues to search for clues about the strange magic he wields and a means of controlling it. Because of the answers his search has yielded, he has chosen to start openly wearing his wings in protest against his former fear of himself.
Other: Captain of Santo-Luce, plz?
