Name: Robert " Brooklyn Bob" Marshal
Description: An apparently large fellow with short, wavy blonde hair and a goatee, outfitted in a special highly flexible set of clothing, consisting of an orange-red button-up shirt, blue jeans, black suspender, black leather gloves and black shoes.
Personality: A man with a good heart but who tends to run his mouth a bit. Though his Brooklyn accent causes people to commonly label him as boorish, or a bit of a schmuck, Robert possesses an IQ sitting up in the 130 range, thought commonly tries to avoid the subject for personal reasons. Innately laid back when not working, he is a sociable person who enjoys down time and has a bit of an obsession with super heroes, in all their various forms, but, when working, does a full one-eighty, becoming quiet, serious and incredibly perceptive…most of the time.
Age: 29
Alignment: Good
Occupation: Private Detective/Interpool Agent
Equipment: Standard issue 9mm Beretta, holster and zip-cuffs.
Powers: Due to the mutations from Mana Injections, Roberts body creates excessive levels of iron in his blood, having the adverse effect of causing his body to bloat such that he looks obese. After experimenting with his abilities, Robert found that the excess iron he stores can be secreted through his pores and manipulated as he pleases. As he continues to excrete the excess iron from his body, he slowly becomes thinner and thinner until his body appears svelte and muscular, though his slender appearance lasts only until his body can resupply his internal iron supplies. As a byproduct of this skill, Robert has also come to realize that when he comes into contact with an item that possess a good deal of iron in it, he can either absorb the iron in it or control it at will much like the metal secreted from his body, thought his control of iron that has not been absorbed and secreted appears to be much harder to handle in more complex manners.
Combat: Robert is trained in Traditional Taekwondo and Kenpo, and emphasizes the aspects of both in combat. Having learned how to fight with his unique physiology, Robert focuses on a constant barrage with surprisingly acrobatic kicks, usually keeping his body in a constant spinning motion so as to better utilize his heaver weight, and heavy handed strikes with punches as finishers. When manifesting his powers, Robert commonly uses them more for defensive purposes, coating himself in armour or projecting shields and barriers, but when used offensively, Robert tends to base his maneuvers off of those of pre exiting superheroes, be it firing out nets of thin metal wire like spiderman, or projecting massive objects from his hands as a homage to Green Lantern.
Weakness: The sheer bulk from the excess metal in Robert's system stilts his movement based on how much he has stored; more metal, more weight, less maneuverability. Becoming disoriented or nauseated also hampers not only his concentration, but his ability to keep full control over his required bodily functions needed to use his power.
History: Growing up on the rough and unforgiving streets in Urban Brooklyn, Robert was a kid that stood out amongst the rest in terms of his street smarts, impatience for injustice and street fighting ability. Wanting to escape from such a disparaging neighbourhood and lifestyle, Robert put forth years of hard work to push through school, and eventually move to New York to get his degree in Criminology and Criminal Psychology.
After finishing his degree, Robert was offered jobs at Criminal Investigation and Crime Scene Investigation units, but refused all offers with the mentality that he would function better on his own as a Private Investigator, thinking it better that he not have a strict code that he needed to follow.
After many successful investigations, Robert gained more and more insight into the world of crime and began taking on bigger and bigger jobs eventually allowing himself to be scooped up and hired as an Interpol Operative. Possessing sources far beyond that which he had before, Robert redoubled his efforts and became a terror to criminal organizations, be they in his own back yard, or across the world, eventually making a name for himself amongst his peers as well as his enemies.
As time went on, Robert eventually was assigned to cases involving the new "Mana" drug that seemed to have been turing up everywhere. After several encounters with smaller criminal syndicates that had been using the drug, Robert quickly realized that he was stepping into dangerous territory, and needed to be able to fight fire with fire, so to speak, and started taking the Mana injections himself, giving him complete control over any metal he touched, but yielding the strange effect of accelerating his bodies own production of iron, causing him to bloat and go into reclusion for a period of time to figure out what was happening before returning to active duty.
While trying to tail a lead that he believed would provide him with a testament directing him to someone in Damas Commodities, Robert eventually found himself lost after travelling through a strange entrance found within the sewers he had been skulking through which seemed to have displaced him to somewhere entirely different from anywhere he had ever seen before.
