A chill wind blew through the cold and desolate city, it's once solid structures that showed the architectural prowess of a great culture, now but rubble, giving way to creaks and moans of exposed metal girders, bending and twisting ever so slightly in the vagrant gusts that wandered through. Once a city populated by the joyous banter of man and woman alike, now only resonated with the harrowing snarls of the vulturous creatures that inhabited every shadowed corner, their voracious eyes leering from the darkness. Their minds focused on the next time they might cavort around a meal, and how their eyes were agleam, now that two fresh souls had wandered into their realm, and the prospect of a meal wetted their chops.
One, a large man garbed in earthen greens, his neck adorned with a large wafting red scarf that's liveliness in the passing wind drew a degree of attention away from the massive gauntlets and greaves that rested upon his limbs, and the over-sized nail that slung from his back. The scar drawn across his squared face belied the kind and just nature that resided within his eyes, eyes that focused at the youth across from him, as he stood with arms crossed, a stance that gestured all to well a hint of disapproval.
"Revenge will bring you no peace…" Bang announced, his tone strangely quiet and straightforward, something unusual for anyone who's knew the man. The boy scoffed, his black cloak fluttering in the wind, making the red clouds that adorned it shift and move in the breeze.
"And just who are you?" the youth retorted, his tone sour and mocking, as slate-black eyes now focused on the man. He ran one hand through his spiked hair, clearing any stray strands from his eyes, as his other hand lay dormant at his side, a long keen katana reflecting glints of the noonday sun off its flawless blade.
"A soul who cares, and understands what you feel," Bang spoke, his words ringing true with the suffering of his own past, but Itami would hear none of it. His eyes narrowed, as his sword arm twisted, maneuvering the blade into a more favourable position.
"I don't care what your soul 'feels', but if it's that bad, perhaps I can make you feel something else!" Itami's voice escalated with his last words as he darted sharply at Bang, his sword dancing through the air in several dextrous swipes as the distance was closed between the two instantly. Each flickering slash connected with no flesh, but only the hard steel of Bang gauntlets, the last blow bringing the two face to face with one another.
"I can see it in your eyes," Bang remarked quietly. "But if you so refuse to denounce such villainy, then it is my solum duty to stop you." Itami said nothing this time, but only glared harshly back at Bang, his eyes shifting and morphing into a deep crimson colour. Bang jumped back at the sight, his hands raised, ready to defend against whatever the youth had in store, but in that split second, the cloaked boy was gone. The ninja from Alberisato exerted all his well-honed senses to find the boy but there was nothing, only an odd and thick air that surrounded him now, one that was not there before.
"Tell me, old man, what do you see now…" the voice echoed and mocked at it slowly faded from existence. It was then that he knew and remembered what this feeling was, a feeling he had experienced so long ago; Genjutsu. With ample willpower, Bang focused and shattered the twisted reality that surrounded him before it fully took hold, only to meet with the harsh reality of Itami standing in front of him, his sword already deep in Bang's leg. Pressing through the pain, Bang swiped a heavy backfist at his aggressor, causing him to unsheathe his blade from the man's thigh and retreat backwards.
"So, a man of the same cloth," Bang remarked, as he worked to overcome the pain in his leg. "I know what you're capable of, and from here on, shall not hold back." Blazing towards Itami, Bang let loose a palatable demonstration of his Taijutsu, unleashing all manner of martial maneuvers upon the boy, but, with nary a show of effort the young ninja responded with precise parries, dodges and all defensive moves necessary to render the man's martial prowess moot. Backflipping away from the assault, Itami held his hand towards his foe and produced a ray of lightening that tore the air asunder as it maneuvered towards its target. Standing in his stalwart stance, Bang gladly received the lashing lightening with his absorbing gauntlets, flicking away the residual sparks of blue as the beam dissipated. Scoffing, Itami charged his hand with the flickering blue energy again, this time channeling it through his sword before charging his opponent down.
"Try blocking THIS!" Itami shouted as he leapt into the air, performing an acrobatic and unorthodox strike, hoping to catch Bang off guard. Meeting the blade head on, Bang gauntlet once again collided with the sparking energy of Itami's attack, eating the force of his blow before briskly deflecting the blade off to the side. With a quick whip of his fist, Bang hammered Itami square in the chest, the man's large brick-like fist extricating any air from the boy's lungs. Following up with a launching uppercut, Bang threw his adversary skywards. Trying to recover from the heavy hit, Itami took a hard gulp of air before trying to reorient himself, but upon looking to the ground the green-garbed ninja was nowhere in sight. With a sudden twisting pain, Itami felt the sharp strike of Bang's knee in his back as the grizzled man bent the boys over it before gripping Itami's cloak and hurling him towards the ground. Coping with the pain, Itami tried once more to reorient himself, but to no avail, as Bang, in an incredible display of his speed, awaited to boy's decent, and delivered a final gut wrenching punch to the young ninja's stomach.
Feeling little motion from the lad, Bang set the youth down against a partially crumbled wall and squatted down to look at the boy, who's face looked almost peaceful now. Itami, however was not finished, as his body suddenly sparked and lashed with electricity, catching Bang off guard and giving the elder ninja a strong dose of Itami's Chidori Current technique. Doing his best to dodge away, Bang fell to one knee part way to his destination, and Itami rose from his resting place against the desecrated wall.
"Showing such weakness to an opponent. I should be offended…" the young Kodoku mumbled between slightly stilted breaths.
"Then I apologize…" Responded Bang through stilted breaths of his own. "If i've offended then I shall atone, and give you the full extent of my justice and might!" Standing tall, the grizzled ninja closes his eyes in focus, his hand beginning to form the hand signs necessary for his next assault. Itami, unsure of the man abilities in Ninjutsu, watched, his Sharingan eyes ready to peer through whatever the man has planned. With quick methodical motions, Bang voice called out, his volume slowly escalating. "Fu…Rin…Ka…ZAN!"
In an explosion of force, rubble and dust flew from around Bang's form, Itami all the while staring at the man, his unyielding eyes trying to perceive what power he had just called forth. Having fed all the energy stored in his gauntlets directly into his own Chakra, Bang's body glowed with an undulating yellow aura, his chest and limbs tense and pulsing with his newly realized ability.
"Now, prepare to feel the true might of my burning heart!" Bang announced as he crouched down for a second before suddenly fading from existence, at least to the mortal eye, but not for the Kodoku ninja, as he could perceive the lightning-fast movements of his opponent. Sensing nothing new about his now glowing opponent, Itami prepared to defend against his foe as he rushed towards him, but in the split second before Bang attack connected with Itami's raised blade, the image of Bang suddenly faded from Itami vision, his shoulder suddenly assailed by a hammer fist strike from behind. Swiftly turning around and swiping at his perceived attacker, his blade struck only air as the young ninja suddenly felt the sting of Bang's greaves after a well placed turning kick in to his abdominal region.
Pivoting and turning wildly, Itami was able to catch glances of the Ninja of Justice, as his form sharply darted around the battlefield, each movement forcing Bang in straight lines as he seemingly kicked off the air itself in his frenzied maneuvers. Slowly starting to gain of sense of Bang's position, Itami regained his focus and was able to block the ninja's fierce almost omnidirectional cluster of strikes, even making several attempts to slash his incredibly mobile combatant.
"Good, but I'm not done yet!" Bang called as he shifted his focus from punches and kicks to flurried hand signs.
"Shishigami Ninpo: Bang's Double Trouble!" He called, ushering a burst of smoke around him. With a clearing gust, Itami could see the large nail on Bang's back took on the form of it's owner, glow and all, and took to the battlefield after a quick nod to his creator. Grimacing, Itami tried to redouble his efforts against his now doubled assailer. Flurried flickers of the boys sword met with the lashing glint of gauntlet and greave, electric needles summoned forth by the boy's Chidori Senbon covered the surrounding wreckage of the once prosperous city, and large scorched marks now littered the crumbled walls that encircled the two, wherein the boy had fired his Chidori Spears in an effort to stifle the personified blur that was his opponent. In a final effort, Itami poured as much energy as he could into his blade, amassing a colossal column of crackling blue energy, hoping the extra range would provide him the advantage he needed.
Catching sight of both Bang's charging directly towards him, he reared his sword high before bringing it down to strike his two adversaries. With brisk linear movements, Bang's clone dodged out from underneath the quickly encroaching mass of sparking blue energy, appearing above the blade while, Bang himself, gauntlets raised, held his position and gladly accepted Itami's forceful strike. With a sudden furious descent exerting the last of his Fu-Rin-Ka-Zan technique, Bang's clone sundered Itami's blade with diving kick, dispersing the flicking blue aura, and leaving the young fighter stunned from the jarring blow.
Aiming to make all of the opening he could, Bang's clone, with a phasing maneuver, caught the boy within a vice-like bear hug from behind; his tree trunk-like arms making Itami's attempts to jar himself free futile. Knowing full well that he had exhausted his charkra pool with his last channeled Chidori, the cloaked youth tensed his body, and braced for the ensuing strike from his adversary.
Launching from the ground with a ground-shaking leap, Bang's clone hoisted himself and Itami high into the sky, their forms having quickly rotated into a indiscernible mass of swirling black and green as they quickly descended towards the earth below. With a ground sundering force, the earth itself gave way, tossing fractal remnants of stone and pyres of dirt and soil skyward, but all was not finished, as Bang's clone, flipping himself and his adversary in tow upright, hurled the lad skyward once more with a spirited grunt. Still reeling from the initial drop, Itami could only feel the ensnaring grasp of Bang encircle him once more, as the original Hammer of Justice stepped in to deliver what he hoped would be the final strike.
"Let this be the end! Shishigami Style Taijutsu: Bang's Double Inazuma Cyclone Supreme!" Bang shouted aloud as he eyed the earth, once again descending upon it with the boy as a high velocity spiral.
From the clearing dust, a lone figure emerged, his broad shoulders slightly encumbered with the body of his fallen adversary. Bending down as he walked through a crater several meters away, he picked up and slung the large nail, once again, behind his back. Pulling himself out of the crater, he walked towards the horizon, leaving this desolate town, and leaving the predators in the shadows to scour elsewhere for a free meal.
VICTOR: Bang
