Bring down the barrier? Right after she'd just gotten it up? The look Jasmine gave Enizo looked at first glance as though she thought he were stupid. Stupid and insane! But really? Really she was worn out from the large spell and felt even more defeated going through the last how many minutes conjuring it up only to have to take it down again so suddenly.
'Well, I DID want to help people...' she thought to herself as she raised her tired arms again and in seconds the barrier immediately came down.

"RHAAAAAA!" Enzio brought all the energy up and unleashed it. It flowed from his hands quickly, flying through the air like two giant dark and light fists. They slammed right into the Hunter before curving skyward, bring the creature up with it.
It was such an intense amount of power that Enzio was forced to let it go as soon as it got high enough. Enzio fell onto the roof of the tower in exhaustion and gave a prayer that Kazan's next move would be enough to bring it down.

As soon as the Hunter was airborne, Kazan was leaping up right behind it. The bubbling lava sword in hand as he chased after the creature. Feeling rather than seeing the barrier close behind him, he felt a lot more secure in what he was about to do, and so on his way up, he grabbed a vine attached to the Hunter and pulled himself up to it's 'face'
"Danmako!"
Given their height, the chances of Kazan being visible from the ground was slim, but the glowing, orange magma of his sword no doubt would be as he swung it in a rapid barrage that slashe sand cut at the Hunter, leaving burning orange trails in its body. The beast was resilient however, so Kazan knew he needed more.
Gripping back onto a vine, he pulled himself up onto the Hunters back, near the small crevice where the vines were coming from. Raising the magma sword in two hands, he let out a cry, his mind running in circles of panic, hoping that the barrier was as strong as could be.
"Dangan!"
He thrust the sword downwards, launching all the magma off of the blade and through the Hunters body. As it passed through, it flattened out like a bullet, the magma tumbling through (hopefully) as many vital organs as possible. When it burst from the other side, the hole was indeed massive, but this is where the barrier came into play. That magma was still coming down, and if the barrier couldn't hold it back, a good section of town would just disappear. If the barrier did stop it, Kazan would easily be able to clear it up before the barrier dropped.
Suddenly, he and the Hunter started their downward descent.

"Well done everyone, well done," called Dios as he emerged from the Hunters large shadow that now enveloped the castle town, his hands moving in slow, accentuated claps.
"But let's save the warm fuzzies and back slapping till we're sure nobody's immolated, shall we?" Dios remarked with a smarmy grin and an accusatory glance to Kazan as he maneuvered to the shadows edge. Polling as much energy as he could, Dios exercised his will upon the massive shadow that rested below the Hunter, quickly giving form and function to the once lifeless pool of darkness.
Now a thrashing mess of teeth, fangs and insatiable hunger, the shade construct sat in wait, jowls open wide as it eagerly anticipated the creatures descent, magma and all.
"Din-din time," Dios quipped between stilted breaths as he held his construct together, he himself all to eager too see his pet satisfied.

As Kazan and the Hunter started to fall, the creature still appeared to have some sort of life for it flipped in the wind so that its face was facing the ground. Hunter could see Dios and his 'pet' and instead of moving for an attack it simply burst. Yes, burst, into hundreds of small seeds that were quickly swept away in the wind.
Meanwhile, the magma slammed into the shield and Enzio watched as it slowly degraded by the destructive heat. A little bit started to slide through giving a perfect excuse for Dios's pet to quench that thirst. The rest of the magma though didn't go through the shield and Kazan would have enough time to clean it up before it got through.
Enzio breathed a sigh of relief before leaping down to the ground. He felt drained and broken... but at least he was alive.

Velestia stood with a look of indifference at the monstrous battle that had played out before her. With her small and delicate visage it was easy for her to fade into the background as she took account of the powers witnessed in both the newcomers and the old warriors she had known. With a sidelong glance she regretted not getting a chance to see Roxa's power in play. She had learnt the merit in understanding a foe, and surveying over the Heroes and strangers she couldn't help but place them all under that same scrupulous eye.
Of course while the Hunter had had its moment it was a poor imitation of the power that Duo had wielded all those years ago. For a moment she pondered if the man had perhaps weakened over the years, but her mind shooed away such optimism. It was a test at best, and a distraction at worst. Whatever he had meant to accomplish with this attack he was positive he had accomplished it. Regardless for the moment the others could wait, it was Roxa she needed to find, and she needed to find him fast. The last thing she needed was for her old friend to wind up dead before she had gotten to him first.

The Other turned with a curious look at the golden haired man that had bounded to his side in the midst of combat. As his body flexed with the strain of shredding the last of the feeble creatures beside him in twain, he let out a snort in the man's direction.
"Do not be so familiar with me mortal. Even in the throes of combat there is no excuse to not treat a king with the respect he deserves." He folded his arms as he examined the self-professed "Hunter" vanish in the flames of the magma and the ravenous teeth of the shadows.
Hmm, so the Shadow Plane holds some dominion in this realm? Curious.
"However, if you seek those responsible for felling the beast, they are currently draped in the barrier keeping the lava from their frail bodies. Can you imagine how tragic it would be were that little girl unable to maintain her shield? Even the mightiest sword falls to the primal chaos of the elements." His words came off threatening as he entertained the idea. Just for a moment, but all the same he entertained it.

"King Alexander, with all due respect..." Zeke felt a lump of hesitation in his throat. "We have no entourage, and even if we did have any power over the soldiers in Roccia, we're less than nothing with this Martial Law in place. The best we can do...I mean, we need to fight!" Zeke stared down Alexander, letting his obstinance show and thankful that no one worth noticing was around to see such impudence in a servant of a leader.
Yet as soon as the words gave way to a breath of relief Zeke heard a terrible shudder, fiercer than the sound of the fireballs against the stone walls of the castle. Drawn to look out towards where Alexander had seen the barrier he saw a hulking monstrosity fall limp against the magical shield, his body aglow with...magma? Had it not been the most incredulous thing he'd seen in his time here he'd have questioned his eyes, but instead of doubt he merely felt emptiness in his heart.
"Umm, never mind. Looks like we don't need to do any such thing. Forgive my outburst my lord." Zeke bowed his head in apology before he turned back to watch the denouement to the attack unfold.

Eli roared with rage, his berserk mode creating an aura around him in the shape of black and white flames - they took the shape of the cloak Roxa wears. He flipped over Roxa's head and swung his blade downward at Bart. Juno, who sensed Eli going into rage mode, quickly looked around for someone, anyone, to help. "Someone! Please! K-King Roxa is in trouble! Someone!"

Whilst Eli's blade came down, Roxa slipped forwards with all the speed of a shade, seemingly appearing underneath his mysterious opponent.
His own swords came upwards towards the enemy with an ungodly amount of power, the blades themselves simply appearing to be waves of white and black energy.
"I'll end you!" He growled through gritted teeth as he launched his assault.

As the Hunter's body exploded into a storm of seed, Kazan, who had landed with a light thud against the shield, let out a heavy sigh as he looked down at his sword. The blade was back to it's relatively normal-self, save for the faint red glow pulsating from the weapon, caused by the intense heat of the magma. He chuckled lightly.
"Cool off time!" With an almighty heave, he tossed the blade up into the sky, before clapping his hands together to remove them of any dust or other un-pleasantries that he may have picked up from the body of the Hunter. Stretching his arms up to the sky and arching his back, like a cat, he wandered over to the pile of magma that was slowly bubbling atop the shield, at severe risk of burning through.
Kazan extended his gloved hands and let out a deep breath, before plunging them into the magma. He made agitated noises as the orange flow seemed to steadily disappear, as if Kazan's hands were slowly drinking up the mixture of lava and rock. It only took a few moments before all traces of the magma was gone. With this done, he shouted down towards the ground.
"OI! LEMON-FACE! THE MAGMA'S GONE!"[/i]

=_= Enzio was thinking of a response along the lines of ' go jump off a cliff' when Kazan called out to him. Although, seeing how they would probably need him in the future he simply looked up and gave him a thumbs up... he really needed to think of a good comeback to 'Lemon-Face'. That's when he heard Juno's calls for help. Enzio was out of strength but he couldn't just ignore the screams of an ally, so with what strength he had left he pulled himself up and started to move in Roxa's direction. "Kazan would you stop fooling around up there and get down here!" Enzio yelled as he moved his way through the streets.

Bart closed his eyes as Eli and Roxa swung at him but when he opened his eyes, his eyes have turned dark. "Fools. You have turned into the weeds." He stated, as he swung his massive quickly blocking Roxa and Eli's strikes. He then turned on his strength, and swung his sword blowing the two opponents away. "Roxa, You have fallen far from us." He said, "Just to think we used to fight side by side, but now our powers are on different planes."

As the gaping maw stretched and strained against it's imaginary restraints, Dios, his hat tipped back for a batter view, bore witness to the creatures seemingly effortless escape. Dismissing his creation with a snap of his fingers, Dios turned and scowled, his hands gripping tight around his daggers as he felt his temper rise, as well as his own hunger.
Cursing under his breath, Dios thought to try a more proactive approach and switched his attention from murdering and killing to helping those still trapped in the chaos find shelter, hopefully offering a reprieve against the almost certain demised that awaited those ill equipped against such creatures.
...But still, he could feel that burning sensation in his hands...one that demanded satisfaction.
"Perhaps one or two more," he said aloud, his tone seemingly playful, as Dios hoped that it might make the sensation inside him feel less sinister and inhuman. it didn't.

Having all the beasts around them disposed of, Ingway gladly turned his attention to The Other, curious if the notes he had read on the creature properly depicted the behaviour and disposition of such a otherworldly being. With patience, Ingway carefully ingested the shades words, their tone, his body language, his delivery, everything there was to analyze. Well experienced in the art of the conversation, Ingway felt like Seigmand's notes were an adequate description of the creature, but Ingway was a master of the back and forth of conversation, and thought it unfair to let such an unapologetic ass go without a good spanking...verbally of course.
"Don't you think that's kind of a faulty analogy, you know, relating swords and people? I mean hunks of refined metal against creatures capable of seemingly infinite change and growth?" Ingway retorted with a snide tone, hopping to get under The Other's skin...or whatever the hell it was the was covering him.
Had The Other possessed the same social prowess as Ingway, he could've easily seen through the veil that the rogue erected to hide his true feelings, feelings of fear that gripped the young man like a the cold grip of death itself, but hubris drove Ingway actions at this point, giving the man an imagined sense of duty to point out several inconsistencies in his opponents words.
"Also, on the topic of things that are faulty, don't you think calling yourself a "king" is a little, i dunno, blasé? I mean, considering you stand above all, I find it a little bemusing that you would willingly put yourself on equal with all those other Kings and Queens, at least verbally anyway..." Ingway stated, his tone more entertaining the absurdity then directly berating The Other at this point, as he paced around, hand placed inquisitively on his chin. Suddenly snapping back to reality, he remembered the visage of unapologetic murder in his midst, and figured it was best to cut things here.
"Anyway, just a couple thoughts for us both to entertain i suppose..." Ingway back peddled a bit, hoping The Other might not try to rend him limb from limb. Taking a few careful steps backwards, Ingway gave a quick salute before taking off towards the castle town at breakneck speeds, giving the occasional look back to The Other, just incase he needed some "motivation" to move a bit faster.
"My Gods, that thing really is a monster. He's a sociopath with way too much power behind his words. I'd better report this to Seigmand when i get back, as he is an x-factor that we need a plan against."
