It's beginning to look a lot like Romance!

Hey guys, with the start of December and after settling back into the whole Rping thing again I was hoping to pick up a few of some old ideas I had planned out for the site wayyyyyyyy back when in 2010. Among these ideas was my plan to do themed writing games and events for something more like extra curricular activities on the site.

So to start things off with the first of what I hope to be many games down the road, I present the 1ST MONTHLY CREPUSCULUM REGNUM WRITING GAMES!

The objective of this game are simple. Each player that wishes to do so will choose a pair of characters from within the CR cast of player characters and write a romance scene for them. It can be as long or as short as you wish, and it can be as innocent or saucy as you wish(obviously up to the point of being pornographic, save that for your private collections. ) However, to make things a little more interesting there are a few conditions each player must abide by.
1. The pairing cannot be an already established one on the site. Sorry guys, no Andy/Jas or Roxa/Alessia etc. stories. Obviously this means that all stories will be crack pairings, and as such not the least bit canon.
2. The pairing cannot contain any characters you personally use. While you're free to use your characters within the story itself, the actual pair has to be a couple of characters that you didn't create.
3. The story must have something related to the holidays. Whether it's a Christmas story, or if you just incorporate snow, or presents, or sleighs...whatever you feel like.

All stories will be accepted up until December 25th, whereupon we will all vote on our favorite and declare a winner by December 31st.

While you don't have to formally apply to enter this game, I would appreciate anyone who's interested simply replying to this thread so I can get an idea of how many participants I'll have. Otherwise, aside from those basic rules I hope you guys will have fun with this and I look forward to any and all stories we get. Thanks!

This is a little nifty tool that will no doubt help come up with pairings. You just type in the names, click draw names, and it pairs everybody up with somebody :3

Man, where was everybody yesterday? It's almost like there was some sort of grand multi-national holiday that kept everyone busy all day long with things more important than RPing...

Joking aside, hope everyone had a great Christmas. Good food, good gifts, good times and all that.

Of course, the end of Christmas also means the end of the contest, and while I'm sad to see that we had no participants this month I've learnt from this and realized my mistakes. Aside from trying to start this thing on arguably the busiest month of the year I also clearly put way too many restrictions on the story. Heck even I had a hell of a time just coming up with a couple, much less putting together a story framework. (For those curious, I decided against putting up mine for right now as it's only a first draft, and without a due date I'd rather have something I'm proud to put up. Probably in a week.)

That being said, I would like to try another one for next month, but this time I'm taking a back seat and seeing what you, the players, would like to do for a writing game. Please, I'd love it if you guys would submit any ideas for a mini story idea in this thread. If I get multiple suggestions I'll set up a vote and we'll pick the one we like best as of January 1st. Hope to hear some great ideas from you guys, seriously, they can be anything. Don't be shy.
