Oops Was all Enizo could think as the figure made himself apparent. The man wasn't Duo or Barts but an ally!
Very nice, Enizo. He lowered his blade and blinked a couple times before dropping it altogether, "VASH! What the hell are you doing here?"
The Enizo Vash had met wasn't the Enizo that was standing in front of the Lunar Arc now. This Enizo had seen countless good men and women die, been knighted and was responsible for an effort to destroy one of the strongest things to walk Allorum.

I blinked, looking around, then shrugged. "I'm not... entirely sure." I knelt, picked up my coat - none the worse for wear for its trip through the Other Side - and pulled it on, felt the familiar sensation of myself retreating as the glow died from my eyes and I snuffed out my wings. Then I picked up my cross, shook my head.
"What happened here, Enizo...?" I asked, stepping forward, towards him, towards the water. Bodies floated in the sea, though my crossing had likely pulled those tortured souls through to their afterlives, cleansing their deaths. Wreckage of a dock could be seen floating. Testing my mind, I felt Kerrian's presence, so I knew this had to be Vuoto. "How long have I been away...?"
A little over a month, I heard the tart voice in my mind.
The wind and rain pounded, but that couldn't be responsible for quite this many deaths, could it? I didn't sense the passing of natural disaster. I sensed the passage of murder and magic.

There was something that angered Enizo, perhaps it was because Vash had no idea what was going on. How could someone be so oblivious to all of THIS.
"W-What happened here?" Enizo repeated simply astonished by the man's words, "WHAT HAPPENED HERE!?" thunder clashed along with Enizo's words, seemly echoing like a painful song as Enizo waved his hand's around him, motioning to the destruction. Enizo stopped and stared at him before saying two simple words.
"'Duo happened', Vash."

A steadying hand was placed upon Enizo's shoulders as Roxa leaned forwards and looked at the decimation of the former dock with a sad look on his face. This was no doubt Bart's work, and that was what sunk his heart so... Bart had not been a particularly friendly Saint, but he had not been cruel either, and he fondly remembered the drunken games the man had played with Ineria. Had he been younger, less experienced to the world, less cynical... He'd have wept at the injustice of it all. But now, all he could do was grimace.
"Of all the people I expected to find bobbing in the ocean..." Roxa started as he moved his hand from Enizo and placed it on the hilt of Sonorc's dagger, more for the connection to the old man rather than security. "You were the last I expected to see... Vash The Human Stampede... It has been a while, since the Ketulunians at least... My contacts told me you had been very busy whilst I lived my life in the shadows. How goes your Lunar Knights?"

I looked up. Those words froze my soul.
"........no...." I whispered. "How could this happen while I was away...?" I asked myself quietly. I don't get involved, I reminded myself. But this...
"Duo..." I muttered under my breath. Gods damn it all to Hellious!
I felt power flare out of me in response to my instinctive anger. It wasn't directed at Enizo; he had no idea that I had been where I was, likely didn't know any living creature could be where I was.
I stood, closed my eyes. Felt my power pulse outward again, but mastered it.
"I was in a place no mortal man can reach, Enizo," I told him quietly. "Don't ask how I got there; I don't know if you remember that Conflict, what happened at the end, if you remember enough to ut the pieces together, but I was out of touch with this world. Duo returned while I was gone... that is something you have every right to be angry about. In fact..." My fist clenched until the knuckles were white against the stone pole in my hand. "In fact, I'm furious about it. I need to know what happened. I need to know what's happening in this world. And I need to know how I can help to fix it, because I've spent too long sitting back while Allorum solves its own problems."

Volkmar's face turned something similar to Enizo's lemon face. "Oh god... Not Vash. Anyone but Vash." He muttered, but his shadow started to move in excitement. It then manifested into a young woman with a white bow and dark clothes. "VASHY!" Sayara, Volkmar's Lunar, shouted and glee. She flew over to Vash and hugged him, "VASHY VASHY VASHY VASHY!"

The sound of a teenaged girl shouting my name assaulted my ears moments before a pile of Sayara was wrapped around my waist. I chuckled, giving her a quick hug before peeling her off of me.
"Still hanging around down here?" I teased her, not really feeling it but making the effort anyway. "Volk still need instructions after a whole month and who knows how long?"

Seigmand looked on with incredulity as the party all rushed out to meet the strange angelic being in the distance. He couldn't make it out save for a pair of pale wings in the distance, but it all stunk of a trap all the same.
"Recklessness. Out in the middle of the sea amidst the wreckage of a town, and they stop to chat of all things." He muttered to himself. "Alright everyone! Anchor down and board the longboats! Let's get on some dry land." Seigmand reluctantly released his security line from the mast and waited for those on deck and below to join him so they could get going, to wherever it was that they'd been dragged out to find at least.

Kazan had seen the bright beam of light from underneath the deck, and had rushed to the top deck to see what the hassle was. It was there he spotted a figure near the old dock... Angelic wings, replaced by a red coat... A scythe like cross... No sodding way. On his travels, Kazan had heard many tales of Vash the Stampede, the lover of peace and love, the man who refused to kill. And just like how stories of Bang had inspired Kazan's sense of justice and determination, stories of Vash had inspired Kazan to never kill without need, hence why he fought with his sword sheathed most of the time. He couldn't believe it, in the space of a week, he'd met the two greatest heroes that he'd ever heard of... They were both within proximity of him... Sailing near Bang has stabilised Kazan's presence around him, and he no longer got massively excited, but this... A whole new legend that he admired so much... He was physically quivering with excitement. Ignoring the fact that Seigmand was stood near him, he cried out... "OOOYAAAKATAAAAA-SAAAMAAAAA VAAAAAAAASH~!" He dived into the water with one swift movement without waiting for the boats to be dropped, and powered forwards with a strong breast stroke, quickly reaching the others, at which point he stood before Vash, bouncing on his heels. "Ooooiiiiii!" He whined "You really are Vash, aren't you! You've inspired me so much!" As if on cue, his large sheathed Odachi, Wareme, crashed into the floor with a heavy thud behind him.

=_= Enizo couldn't help but growl as he heard that obscene yell, "Brace yourself..." Enizo warned Vash, "Bumbling idiot coming in."

"Huh?" I asked as the yell reached me and Enizo spoke his warning.
Suddenly, there was a soaking-wet man bouncing up and down like Sayara, practically glowing.
All because he'd...
met....
.....me....?
O_____O
I got an echoing expression from Kerrian.
"....uh. Hello...?" I said, blinking.

Volkmar finally caught up to the group and looked around. He sighed, "Hey, I know a reunion is nice, but we need to stop this Doo-doo guy, or whatever his name is." He picked up Sayara and put her down. "So, we are going to have this tea party or are we going to move to the capital?"
Sayara's face was pouty for not being able to hug her brother longer. But this idiot threaten her time with him. She leaned to his ear and whispered, "You can talk to him after I am done with him!"

"Now you've all left the damn potatoes! If you're not going to peel 'em, get in the damn boats!!"
Annabelle grumbled viciously as she hobbled about with her staff, hurrying to meet to get into one of the boats. She found at least the one sensical one, Seigmand, to be already waiting to get to their destination.
She tapped her foot impatiently.
"My reunion with my granddaughter whom I hadn't seen in 13 years was quicker than this," she growled to Seigmand, "children and their lack of focus."

Seigmand could only look on with a soured expression as all sense, common or not seemed to fly off the ship along with Kazan and Volkmar. Kazan's reaction had been...expected? Yet Volkmar's was something so utterly bizarre that he immediately pulled out his notebook from A.B.A.'s bag and made a note of the man's...condition as well as all the other strange happenings related to the being that was referenced as "Vash the Stampede".
His concentration was broken by the soft tapping of a woman's shoe against the longboat, and looking up he saw the boat vacant save for the elderly Annabelle Fraus. "So, just us then? I suppose someone needs to use the boats." Lowering the ropes on the pulley the boat hit the waters with a bump that sent him off balance. He scowled, regained his seat and gave them a short and silent trip across.
At last arriving on land Seigmand practically jumped off the boat and began consuming a suitable chunk of earth to replenish his full armour as he approached the group. "So now that everyone's done hugging the angel can we get moving on? We're losing time here, and assuming we had any element of surprise to begin with I'd say the light show and screaming that just took place has deprived us of that too. If you boys are going to demand to be in charge at least act like lives are at stake here."
Without giving them all an ounce more of his attention Seigmand adjusted his glasses and began scouting the area for any clues as to what had caused this destruction.

I sighed. I'd never encountered this particular ex-Sumata, but I had heard of him. All the rumors seemed to be true.
"I doubt anyone but those coming by sea could see what happened," I said quietly, adjusting my coat. "Also, I'd prefer if you didn't call me an Angel. They're a much higher class of being than I am - I'm simply a humble servant of Ketuluna, nothing more."
Not... technically... a lie. Then again, he wasn't exactly paying attention, so I contented myself with searching the pockets of my coats for the spelled bandages I'd purchased around the same time I'd bought my newest coat.
Finding them, I wrapped my Crystal - glowing, but no longer quite as intensely - with them, covering most of the crossbar of the weapon and some of the pole surface as well. A soft command word, spelled into the fabric, and the bandages sealed themselves almost seamlessly.
