Current Leader of Nation: Queen Lady Elexa B'Shera
Current Captains under Ruler: Lana Princel, Ludro Gamblington
Military: Nerezza's military power is actually quite small in modern times, as part of the treaty agreement from their past war with Santo-Luce. Actually, the military forces of Nerezza have always been (seen as) smaller and weaker than those of their competitor during times of war and most other powerful countries as well; the Nerezzan army relies less on powerful weaponry and overpowering numbers than on guerilla tactics and stealth warfare, an art which is brought to absolute perfection past the Dark Border.
Nerezzan battle-mages are skilled not in the arts of offensive magic, like those that countries with more offensive alignments employ, but are trained to aid the guerillas with spells of stealth, silence, speed, and misdirection.
It is considered suicide to attack Nerezzans on their own home ground, though particularly desperate (and foolish) commanders have attempted the maneuver before. Nerezza's terrain is perhaps the worst terrain in the world to fight guerilla troops in, with its natural darkness and its relatively-unknown (to most of the world) dangers and landscape. Nerezzan guerilla troops are trained in the harshest environs the land has to offer.
The ratio of female-to-male troops in Nerezza is roughly 3:1.

Relationships with other Nations:
Allies: Guasto, Alberisato
Friendly: Santo-Luce
Neutral: Most everyone else
Wary: Ketulunanox (personality conflicts with Xisa), Ariadelvento
Hostile: None (as of now)
(A/N: Please let me know if there's anything wrong here, and I will fix it.)
Important/Unique Locations:
Important Organizations: The Midnight Court, which rules the vampires, is the other ruling body in Nerezza. Nerezza itself can be considered two kingdoms ruled by the same queen - the human kingdom and the vampire kingdom - and the Midnight Court is the court Elexa holds for her other kingdom. Official Court meetings are held twice a year on the solstices, but Midnight citizens can petition their queen every Saturday.
Historical Tidbits: In previous years, Nerezza has been at war, off-and-on, with Santo-Luce, the Kingdom of Light, though historically both Nerezzans and Santo-Lucians come from the same group of settlers and colonists. However, only Nerezza's history still retains this information.
Historically, Nerezzan women have had far more rights than men, though the current Queen has been working her entire reign (about the past three hundred years) to change this assessment.
Famous for...: Nerezza is covered in eternal darkness, and thus follows a backwards day/night schedule - when the moon is high in the sky, Nerezzans consider it midday. When the moon sets, they consider it nightfall, because Nerezza has no access to sunlight. The plants and animals which grow in Nerezza are, thus, incredibly exotic.
Lesser fame goes to the fact that Nerezza is a matriarchy and a queendom; it is (as far as we know) the only country to have a mens' rights movement.
Random Factoids:
Flower: Nerezzan Starflower (AKA, Heaven's Mirror or Death Light)
Gemstone: Black Opal
Anthem: Alteres Nayale (Old Nerezzan for Highest Midnight)
-Legend has it that Nerezza is the only country to accept the gift of a Lunar from Queen Kedar
-Only a woman can inherit the throne of Nerezza. No exceptions. In the case that a Queen should die before having a female heir, her sister or niece will take the throne in her place.
-The ratio of humans to vampires in Nerezza is about 4:1
Midnight Laws and Treaty:
A significant portion of Nerezza's laws apply solely to the Midnight Court and its relations with the human citizens of the country. This is due to the Midnight Treaty, forged thousands of years ago between the human colonists of Nerezza and the vampires who preyed on them. The treaty was drawn to protect the interests of both humans and vampires and placed the colonists under the protection and rule of the vampires' royal family, so long as the vampires upheld the treaty.
Human Rights under the Midnight Treaty:
-No vampire may kill a human in the course of feeding on them, unless that human is already sentenced to death.
-Human criminals are to be accorded a trial conducted by humans, though a vampire may preside over the trial or serve as a lawyer for a wronged vampiric party. The criminal may waive this right.
-A human may not be fed on without their permission inside a town, farm or village.
-A vampire may not enter a human farm, village or town except by a legitimate gate.
-A vampire may not enter a human residence without being invited inside.
-For the purposes of the Treaty, a camp site is considered a residence.
-Foreigners are not exempt from the Midnight Treaty.
Vampiric Rights under the Midnight Treaty:
-Any human wandering the Nerezzan wilderness after dark is fair game for vampires. (This item was agreed upon because it is simply stupid to wander the Nerezzan wilderness after dark.)
-Human criminals sentenced to death are exempt from the Midnight Treaty
-A vampire may not be killed by a human except in self-defense or if they are attempting to violate the Midnight Treaty
-Vampire criminals are to be accorded a trial conducted by vampires, though humans may represent a wronged human party. The criminal may waive this right.
-Vampires may live in human towns and villages as long as they identify themselves as such, and follow the humans' laws and customs.
-Vampires may form towns and villages of their own, and humans entering or living in those towns must follow the vampires' laws and customs.
Human Responsibilities under the Midnight Treaty:
-Humans are required to follow the laws set forth by the Royal Family, as they would those of a human goverment
-Humans are required to tithe to the Royal Family as they would to a human government
-Human towns are required to send troops to the military
-Human town laws are not to discriminate against vampiric citizens in any way
Vampiric Responsibilities under the Midnight Treaty:
-Vampires are required to follow the same laws as humans, except in cases where the differences between vampires and humans warrant separate laws and circumstances
-Vampires are required to tithe to the Royal Family no more and no less than humans tithe
-Vampires are required to provide a military for the defense of human towns and villages
-Vampires are required to protect humans as a human government would protect its subjects
-Vampiric laws are not to discriminate against human citizens in any way
Peculiar Midnight Laws:
-A married human male may not be fed upon without permission of his wife
-Adultery between two humans is immoral; adultery between a human and a vampire is a crime, no matter the gender of each party or which is married
-It is a crime for a vampire to have sex with a human without first disclosing their species
-Rape of a human by a vampire of either gender is a crime punishable by death
-It is illegal for a vampire to feed in a church of any god except the Goddess of Night, who is the patroness of vampires
-It is illegal for a vampire to feed on a human priest of any god except the Goddess of Night, who is the patroness of vampires
-It is a crime for a vampire to feed on a foreigner who is unaware of the existence of vampires
