Have you guys ever had a game, or watched a movie or a tv show etc. that possessed a particular song that actually became more loved than the thing it came from? I don't mean something that sucked except for the song, but rather that when you think about it, it's the music that comes first to your mind, or its a song that's your most loved aspect of it? This is the completely random thread for those exact songs. To sort of elaborate on what I mean, here's a couple that have been buzzing in my brain. Theme to Wild Arms Honestly, this was one of my favorite RPGs from the PS1 era, and I never even beat it. CD broke on me in the final 3rd of the game, and honestly I really can't remember much about the story, the characters or even the gameplay. Yet every so often this song burrows out from my subconscious and gets me whistling it all day long. I know I loved this game as a nostalgic relic, but long after I forget everything about Wild Arms, I'll still remember this sweet little tune. Tank Say what you will about Cowboy Bebop. Some love it, some hate it, some have never seen it(shame on you if you belong to the 3rd group btw). However, as much as I love the cast, the stories etc. this bloody theme will always be the thing I love most the show. Most times I won't even bother rewatching an episode of Cowboy Bebop. I'll just pop on Tank, and three minutes later I'll have gotten my fill. So yeah, if you have anything like feel free to post it and lets share some awesome songs and memories.

AAAAAHHHHH. Cowboy Bepop <3 I think for me, the theme for Sengoku Basara will always stick with me. It's so funky, and has brilliant lyrics that swaps between classic Japanese rock and Engrish. A wonderful theme all and all.

Before the movie even hit theaters, Over the Misty Mountains was the most popular thing about The Hobbit among the crowd that didn't know LOTR.... and even the crowd that did, in many ways. t's a beautifully haunting song and also serves as the main theme for the movie.... the audio in that link is pretty terrible, but.... it's so amazng. Also, say what you want about the game itself, but, The Hymn of the Fayth from FFX also fills that role for me. Possibly because of the Sending cutscene that it accompanies the first time you really hear it in full, but also because of it's absolutely gorgeous melody. The blend of traditional Japanese instruments with the sound of the male choir creates just this..... gorgeous tune, something that I'll always remember as long as I live, really.

Ha, awesome. I knew I recognized Abingdon Boys School lead voice the second that Sengoku Basara song played. I only know them from the OP of Darker Than Black, but it's hard not to recognize. And yeah, the music for FFX was awesome. If I didn't hate the game itself I'd have totally put To Zanarkand on this thread, because it is easily the first thing that comes to my mind whenever I think of this game...okay well not technically the first thing, but easily the best thing about the game itself. (BTW, warning, link is offensive, contains strong language, and is IMO hilarious. Watch at your own discretion.)
