Name: Liatris "The Prism"
Alignment: Good (Only for Santo-Luce)
Occupation: Leader of the Chromatic Order
Age: 31
Personality: Liatris is a commonly a very calm individual, having mastered her control over her emotions as part of her training, she is never one to let emotions breach the surface lest she believe it appropriate. This mastery over her emotions allows Liatris an internal clarity that epitomizes self control, allowing her to function with precision even in a state or duress, which can make her seem a little cold in how she operates at times. Further more, Liatris has a moderately obsessive fascination with engineering, commonly breaking her rather steely disposition in a odd display of curiosity whenever confronted by contraptions, mechanisms, or other items as such.
Description: Garbed in an ornate black and white robe, Liatris' wardrobe consist mostly of stark contrasts between black, gold and white. Wearing black boots, patterned black thigh high stockings, a black dress accented with flecks of gold on it, white gold earrings and golden hairband adorned with pearls that accents her stark black hair, Liatris dresses with a sense of pride, feeling there could no more appropriate colours for her to wear. Fair in complexion, Liatris always seems to have a faint aura around her that shines off her pearlescent skin and seems to always change to the bewilderment of onlookers.
Place of Origin: Santo-Luce
Equipment: Sets of contacts that are all tinted different colours
Weapons: Nothing
Magic: Chromathurgy - allows Liatris to visually absorb energy from colours along the light spectrum, creating hard light constructs of various uses based on the specific colour energy stored. This process of evoking constructs is referred to as Drafting.
-Sub-red or Inferred: Trained to see heat and absorb it with the naked eye, this energy can be converted into flames and heat when evoked.
-Red: Evokes a sticky, gooey and extremely flammable material.
-Orange: Evokes a slick, lubricative material that is dense and heavy.
-Yellow: evokes a liquid that quickly converts itself back into light energy, creating a bright flash that can blind, or ignite combustibles. It's liquid form can also he hardened like ice, making it the most durable colour of all.
-Green: evokes a slightly springy and flexible material.
-Blue: evokes a hard, durable, smooth material.
-Purple: evokes a semisolid construct that possess incredible elasticity and tensile strength.
-Ultraviolet. a semisolid material that is invisible to all but experienced Chromats. Ultraviolet light requires concentration and demands sunlight to absorb. The material produced is weaker in durability then Blue or Green constructs.
-White: Functions much like yellow, but converts back to light in a blast of cold, freezing all the light touches, rendering things immobile, or reducing structural integrity. When made solid, is incredibly fragile, but broken parts instantly bursts into light and freeze all the light hits.
-Black: Creates incredibly fine powdered material that is highly explosive
Combat: Creative and practical in combat, Liatris utilizes her hard light constructs to create various weapons, traps, tools, and armaments to aid her in combat. Not one to engage in physical combat if possible, Liatris is an amazingly capable defensive and support combatant, choosing to project weapons and constructs from a distance, and create various walls and barriers to halt any advances upon her. Limited, of course, by what colours are handy, Liatris has learned to use her opponents garbs as the best source of light energy, quickly creating a mix of tactics and constructible items from the colours provided on their clothing. if forced into melee combat, Liatris commonly creates inherently simple reach weapons, such as spears, scythes, whips, chains, etc, but continues to upgrade them with new features to better combat what her opponent uses.
Flaws: Can come across as overly straightforward, and can get on people's nerves with either her "matter of fact" outlook on things, or her sometimes incessant curiosity. Her magic is limited to what colours she can witness in the surrounding area, leaving her potentially hampered or without magic should she be unable to perceive a needed colour. Furthermore, just as her ability to absorb colours is more potent with more sunlight, this is diminished during the night when colours are duller and less distinguishable. Also, while Liatris is a capable melee fighter, she is lacking in both strength and constitution, making physical combat a dangerous gamble without the proper chromathurgy to support her.
History: Daughter of Gabranth, former leader of the Chromatic Order, and the sole family from where all Prisms within The Order come from. Existing from times long passed almost as far back as Santo-Luce's origins, the society has kept themselves hidden away from the public eye so that they might further their practices and prepare themselves for their designed purpose. Since the order conception, it has been a contingency plan in times of war, the Chromats being trained in some of the most frightening displays of war tactics and siege abilities that the world has ever seen.
Though under the rule of Santo-Luce, The Order does not directly answer to the King, but rather reveals themselves and come to the King's aid when they deem it necessary. Bradley Frexton was the last to receive aid from Gabranth and his order many years ago in the war against Nerezza, but many years have passed, and with it the once great Gabranth "The Prism" has parted, leaving The Order under the lead of his daughter, Liatris.
(Kept short and nondescript for player reasons. Cleared by Jess as well for the sake of canon.)
