Description: Seishin (The one in the middle) is a young man of average height, and is more on the thin side rather than the bulky side. He has brown hair with matching eyes, and a generally stony expression on his face. For the most part he seems to look relatively composed and calm, but when he’s in a more comfortable atmosphere it’s not unusual for him to break into a friendly smile. It’s not uncommon for people to underestimate him because of his size, either.
He generally wears a plain white shirt, buttoned up to the collar, with a dark green military-style jacket on the top, which bears the Crest of Alberisato on the left breast. Black trousers and smart shoes are the order for his lower half, and he occasionally wears a tie and black leather gloves if the situation calls for a more formal attire. When he enters combat, he almost always takes the time to remove his jacket/tie and unbutton his shirt, saying the more open outfit allows his Ki to flow better.

Personality: Quiet and composed, he was a coward in the past, and having grown past that, he now despises nothing else more. He has been complimented repeatedly in the past on his spirit and strength of will, never backing down even in the grimmest of situations. He is loyal to his friends and faces every day with an outlook of caution and wonder, realising how swiftly we can die, but how much fun we can have before that happens. Unlike most people, he does understand his own limits, but he just never accepts that he needs to retreat before he reaches them. This gung-ho attitude can lead him getting into some rather sticky situations where he’ll be in the middle of a fight with no energy whatsoever. To make matters worse, he has a bad tendency to want to take care of things on his own, it never crossing his mind that he should ask others for help. He sees requesting for help almost as a weakness, he wants everybody else to be proud of him and accept him as a proper warrior, something that can sometimes earn him a bit of a clip around the ear from his peers.

His body is the only weapon he requires, using assortments of punches, kicks, throws and holds to his advantage in order to dominate his opponent. He specialises in fast and heavy guard breaking strikes. Whilst some fighters like to see their body as a tool that can be honed into a perfect weapon, Seishin sees his body as a vessel, something that he inhabits in order to be used and can be used in a variety of different ways, not just for combat. He is intelligent and sharp and has an indomitable will and insane amounts of stamina, and has been known to keep on fighting even whilst he unconscious through muscle memory alone.
On top of this, thanks to his heritage from Guasto, he is in a finely tuned touch with the Spirit World. Not only can he communicate easily with the spirits of the dead and Wisps, but he can also monitor and regulate his own Spirit Levels (Ki) and observe that of others from afar. By manipulating the flow of his Ki, Seishin can greatly alter the strength and style of his fighting. By pressing it into his fist in perfect time with a punch, he can increase its strength, giving it almost explosive capabilities, by doing the same with his feet, he can advance, evade and retreat in the blink of an eye and by forcing his Ki out through a punch or any physical attack with enough raw power, he can actually re-direct and damage his opponents spirit, and therefore, their stamina. By overflowing their body with his own Ki, he can throw of the circulation of his opponents, which can have a variety of effects from making breathing more difficult, to slowing down their movements, to even completely stopping the flow of Ki, which can greatly affect their stamina. Admittedly, these techniques are difficult to pull off, and can leave Seishin open if they fail
He has one ultimate technique, which he has been instructed to never use or at least avoid using. The Black Heaven & Earth Technique. By focusing all of his Ki and redirecting it back into his Ki Centre (In the abdomen), he can overflow his body and greatly increase his strength and speed even by his own standards, appearing as nothing more to his opponents as a blur. The only issue here is that the state can only be activated by focused Ki (Which takes time to accumulate) and an intense, negative emotional response, be it anger or sadness or anything similar. In this state is overcome by his emotion, and struggles to properly define friend from foe.
Magic: It’s not quite fair to label Ki Control as ‘Magic’. It’s a physical state that any person can achieve, it is simply that Seishin has spent a while solely focusing on improving his skill in the field, granting him the abilities that he uses.
Flaws: By redirecting his Ki, Seishin can put a great amount of strain onto his body, and it’s not unusual to maybe see his hand randomly start bleeding after a particularly powerful punch, or for him to be limping after a kick. His body is not perfectly strong, and he is prone to random nosebleeds through excessive use of his power and being completely drained if he attacks far too much. As earlier mentioned, The Black Heaven & Earth Technique puts an absolutely tremendous amount of strain onto Seishin’s body. His eyes become pure white, and smoke seems to billow out of his mouth as if the air around him was below freezing, this is because his core body temperature actually drops thanks to the intense amount of negative energy flowing around his body. Once he somehow gets out of this state, he can instantly suffer from Hypothermia, and other ailments. All-in-all, it’s not unusual to see him return from a fight completely covered in his own blood… Or his enemies…

Unfortunately, the father, whom only had a brief fling with the Spirit Priest, died at the tournament through suspected foul play. His remains were sent home where they were interred honourably. Seishin’s mother named him and it is believed that it is the same name that his father had. Seishin spent the first four months of his life in Guasto, where he was raised as any other child, however, thanks to the fact that the pair lived near the coast, there was always a risk of attacks by pirates and raiders from other nations. Once such pair attacked their home and made away with the young boy, presumably killing his mother, before taking him with them onto the ship, hoping to mould him into a pirate. The ship set sail for home but was intercepted by a ship from Alberisato’s Navy, who took the child with them back to port after eliminating the pirates.
Everyone was unsure what to do with the young-one. They couldn’t just abandon him, and none of the Sailors had time to really take him in, so they sent word around the nearby villages, asking if anyone would have the kindness in their heart to take in this young boy. Thankfully, someone answered the call, an elderly couple who had only recently lost and been mourning their only child, and longed for the sense of love and compassion which comes with the young. As fate would have it, these were Seishin’s grandparents from his Father’s side, the parents of the young martial artist who had died in the tournament. Seishin grew up with almost everything he wanted within reason, never knowing his adoptive parents real identities, how could anybody know who he really was? They renamed the boy, or so they thought, after their own deceased son, Seishin, not knowing this was already the boy’s name. He became known as ‘Seishin II’

To both the old man and the young boys surprise, he had a natural affinity for gathering, moulding and regulating the flow of his Ki. He was taught the basics of it, how to initiate the state and how powerful he would be whilst using it, however, thanks to his positive upbringing, Seishin has yet to actually experience the horror of using the transformation.
He signed up for the military, not long after Lamuria became the new King, and received countless recommendations and promotions from his superiors, who respected and supported the young boys strength. Within a year, he had been promoted into being one of Alberisato’s Two Captains….
