(Unda and Roccia, PM to join.)
Central Unda, Joint Session of the High and Low Senate in an undisclosed location.
The room was poorly lit and it smelled of like men and women who haven't seen the light of day for weeks. Dozens of Senators and military generals were crammed into the room, going over report after reports.
"Are you actually suggesting what I think you're suggesting?" An older Senator from Wild Unda asked, "Please tell me you're kidding?"
The older Senator questioned the younger Senator who was sitting across from him. The younger man was dressed in a sleek navy blue outfit with small pieces of tobacco sitting on it from the cigar he was smoking, he took one more nervous-inducing puff of it before looking back at the older Senator.
"It's not easy to say at all but we must face realities, if we leave Wild Unda we can shore up our defenses on the parts that really matter..." He wiped the sweat from his forehead away before continuing, "Why should we waste vital blood and treasure on such useless pieces of land?"
"You must be kidding me...?" The older Senator said, shaking his head, "This room is filled with fools..."
The room erupted in anger, causing the Marine guards to quickly regain order among the Senator. The Generals were flustered by the entire thing, the higher ranked among them slammed his fist onto the table.
"I do hate to cut in," he growled, "But with every second we waste our forces are getting pounded by Duo's. We have to act!"
"If I may, Senator..." A voice spoke from behind the Senators, the guards quickly moved to allow the person in, "Perhaps I could persuade the Senators different..."
The Senators turned around to view a older, but gracefully beautiful women step into the room. Her long black hair was tied in silk strings lined with colorful emeralds, her clothes was traditional clothing of Wild Unda - robes made of high grade silk and colored heavily with dye from various plants. She looked like some type of queen.
"Who's this?" One of the Senators whispered to another.
The other Senator wiped his sweat covered face and hissed back, "Her name is Kasumi, she's a philosopher, I am, however wondering who let her in here!" He yelled out the last bit towards the Marines guards who looked like they didn't give a shit.
The commander of the Marine stepped from behind Kasumi, "It was me, Senator. I do think we need a voice of reason among everything..."
"Wild Unda is very important and if you think different than you are so incredibly foolish..." she said stepping across to the young Senator, "Without Wild Unda, where do you think Southern Unda will receive the resources necessary to produce weapons for the war efforts? Do any of you realize that Wild Unda supplies 30% of Eastern Unda's food? Because apparently the region can't invest in anything above education it has failed to set up proper farms..."
"So now you're some type of economist?" The young Senator growled, furious at the idea that this woman was mocking him in front of his peers.
"I studied economics in Santo-Luce for years," she quipped back before adding, "But you don't have to study economics in one of the greatest schools in the world to know that Wild Unda is the fuel for the Republic. Loosing it would be catastrophic."
Her words seemed to hit the Senators for they started to whisper to each other for about half a minute before one stood up, dusting off his jacket before speaking, "General, perhaps you could show us our potential counter strike again?"
The General smiled, moving other papers aside to reveal a map of various islands.
"Duo has taken two small islands that lie on opposite sides of the La-Fe, the island that holds our largest Marine base, it's pretty clear that these are footholds to launch an attack on that base. If we loose that base any sort of defense for Wild Unda will be severely crippled."
"How did they take those two islands?" One of the Senator questioned.
"We believe Duo has been slipping his forces into those islands for months now, completely undetected from our intelligence. We expect once he launches his attack on La-Fe more of these hidden soldiers will rise up from within La-Fe."
"Anything we can do to minimize that risk?"
"Marines have searched the surrounding villages and confiscated any weapons. We've locked about twenty men up and killed twelve of those creatures. But for all we know they could have an army waiting in the thick jungle.”
There was a small silence that floated around the room, the only sound being the small hissing of the cigars burning away or the occasional cough from one of the Senators....
“Do we have enough men to defend the island?” The Senator finally asked, the general looked back at the charts before looking back at the Senator.
“We do, as long as we fight on our own accord. But there is one other thing we should consider... Roccia has sent troops and they intend to aid us, I say we deploy them onto the island to shore up our defenses...”
The room suddenly went into a fit of rage, with many Senators simply laughing or yelling down at the General, “Roccians, on OUR soil?”
“They're nothing more than armored brutes!” called a Eastern Undian Senator.
Another remarked sourly, “At least they're not Ignians...”
“Where's Santo-Luce, can't they help?” A Senator from the low Senate questioned, which was followed by a chorus of 'yeahs'.
“Santo-Luce was attacked and they're building their defenses in fear of a major invasion... they might be sending aid but I wouldn't expect it any time soon.” The General responded before continuing, “Roccia owes us a debt of gratitude and I'm inclined to repay it. I'm approving the movement of Roccian troops to unite with the defenders of La-Fe.”
The young South Undian Senator cleared his throat and looked back at the others, “We shall vote to approve Roccian aid... raise your hand for yes.”
The majority of the Senators raised their hands, and after the South Undian counted them he sat back down and nodded to the general, “Very well, bring in the Roccians.”
“You shall not regret it.” The general nodded to the Senators, “Now, about that plan...”

Wild Unda, island of La-Fe, Fort 'Eien Ni'.
'An island that ranges an average temperature of 90 and at its worse 110, it's an island where the bugs are always four inches larger in size and twenty times more aggressive. This is that island where the conditions are so unbearable that if ANYONE would be able to conquer and control it, they would hold the key to this entire 'Wild Unda'. That conqueror is me.' ~ General Grave of the Southern Monarchy, fifteen hundreds years ago.
From the time General Grave wrote that, La-Fe was a different place. Now La-Fe had an average of 96 degrees and a high of 115, the bugs were mostly normal size but instead they were replaced with snakes that liked to find their way into your tent and suck the blood of the poor Marine, 'vampire snakes' was what they were.
Captain Affronta stepped through Fort Eien Ni in his nice navy blue Marine Corp jacket with eight shiny gold buttons lining it, they shined splendidly in the sun. With his blue pants to match the jacket and nice leather boots that stomped against the dirt ground, he looked too formal for this fort. Sweat rolled down his sun tanned skin and dripped off his strong Central Undian jawline, he gripped the hilt of his Vuotian sword (an award for his service in the initial battle in Vuoto) as he dodged other Marines.
He was probably the only one in proper attire, most of the Marines – men and women – didn't even bother putting on shirts because of the incredible heat that slammed down on them. Terrible decision going into battle shirtless, one would think, but once they figured out that the blades and arrows that were being used cut through their expensive armor like a hot knife through butter it was judged that the Marines should be comfortable if they were going to die.
“Why are you all dressed up, Captain?” Asked a Marine who had nothing on but his armored bottoms and helmet (protecting the vital parts, apparently).
“Because apparently I have to greet soldiers from another nation and be 'proper' as we take fire. Now get back to work!” Affronta yelled, the heat irritated him. If it kept up like this his nice navy blue outfit would be stained with sweat which only semed to irritate him further.
The fire he was referencing to was coming from insurgents that liked to pop out of the brush and fire an arrow at the Marines guarding the wall, currently there was close to four dozen Marine snipers shooting anyone who came close to the walls with a weapon. The growing pile of bodies outside the wall must have meant they were doing good.
“Captain, we have approaching soldiers!” Yelled down a Marine, her crossbow trained on the riders.
“Are they wearing armor!?” Affronta yelled back up.
“Yes, Captain, they are!”
“Must be the Roccians than, open up the gates!” Affronta dusted off his nice jacket and stood at attention as the Marines pulled open the gate before rushing out to secure the location.
“Salute!” Affronta yelled, the Marines beside him lining up with their right hand to their left shoulder as a sign of respect, “Welcome to Fort Eien Ni, dear friends of Unda!”
