The steel arena is set, people are cheering...the battle is about to begin, from the left Andy leaps in – the red head slammed his fist on the ground. He stood up, eyes narrowed, his coat fluttering in the small breeze and drew his sword.
“If you want to do this, I will not hold back.” he warned his opponent, who entered in from the right.
Natalya 'Justicar' Banders, strode in...tall, confident, powerful, her helmet under her arm and her war hammer in her free hand. Her sharp green eyes studied her opponent with interest, her scale silvery armor was an impressive glow...while Andy's black coat was fluttering and mysterious, her armor radiated power and honor. She placed her helmet on her head and twirled her warhammer.
“The law does not hold back Hero, lets begin.”
Andy gave a brief nod and launched forward, using his sword as his starting weapon; Natalya moved forward as well, swinging her hammer and catching Andy in a combo. She smacked him back a bit with her warhammer, blasting Andy back and he bounced off the wall of the arena – right back into another aerial combo by Natalya, who finished with a strong smack to the ground. Andy yelled out as he hit the ground, quickly rolling backwards before Natalya could hit in an aerial slam. Using this moment of opening to close the gap between them and strike her with his sword. He got three hits on her and knocked her back, moving it quick he grabbed her and with one hand he threw her behind him.
Her armor made a resolute crunch as it hit the ground, Andy tried to take this time to run up for another sword combo. Natalya though had more surprises up her sleeve, specifically, her feet – her body shimmered as her Impulse Boots activated and she vanished behind Andy. As the youth turned around to counter her she switched from Impulse Boots to Mauling Gauntlets, swinging her warhammer the powerful show of strength blasted Andy back. He crashed into the gate arena and began to fall down a large tunnel, bouncing off the walls as he fell he then crashed through several floors before he landed in the basement of the arena – the Creature's Pen.
The pen was filled with cages of exotic and dangerous creatures that were used in the arena's battles, in the background there was a large elevator powered by the gear room next door that lifted these cages up. He landed on one of the large cages and rolled off the metal bars, he landed on the ground next to a barrel of spears (for animal control). Giving a groan of pain he clutched his ribs.
“Damn that hurt...”
“I thought you were going all out?”
Andy looked up to see Natalya, nimbly moving from the steel beams above and landing on the ground – more battle ready than ever.
“You have squandered any attempt of mercy, I hope you are prepared for what comes next.”
Andy grunted and drew his sword, “I'm far from done.”
Natalya grabbed one of the spears from the barrel and threw it at Andy, who just lifted his sword in time to prevent the spear tip from hitting him – but the effect did send him backwards. Natalya ran in and grabbed Andy as he was getting up, with Amazonian strength she pounded him against the ground twice before throwing him into the air. She leaped to continue her combo...when Andy rebounded, flipping in the air he brought his sword down in a Helm Breaker and interrupted any chance of Natalya launching into an aerial combo. She crashed back down to the ground, her armor though usually protecting her banged her up quite a bit falling at that speed. She rolled on her back and crashed against one of the cages, she shook her head and quickly moved away as one of the creatures, a spiny gray wolf, tried to grab her.
It was there she got an idea, switching to her Soulspeaker Circlet she reached out to the animal in the cage, Andy halted out of mere confusion as she spoke to the animal, then she brought her warhammer to the lock and the animal came out of its cage. It did not attack Natalya though, it grunted at her but turned its teeth to Andy. The wolf lunged for him, Andy rolled under it and got to his feet as the wolf landed nimbly on the ground. It slowed to a jog for a moment, Natalya speaking words of encouragement and advice to it as the wolf turned around and went into a full all out run to Andy, the red head brought his sword back and launched upwards into the air.
“Shoryuken!”
He sword cleaved upwards on the wolf creature, creating a huge gash on the creature's underbelly. Andy grabbed the creature in mid-air and began to spin, gaining speed as he used the creature's weight to anchor him he let go of the wolf's corpse...and let it crash into the surprised Natalya. She yelled out as the creature's weight crushed down upon her, she switching back to Mauling Gauntlets she pushed the creature of her. As she did that Andy took this time to jump behind her, launching into a devastating sword combo with Natalya, he kept the combo going by switching to his fighter gloves and dealing punches and kicks ending his combo with a Hadoken.
The blue fireball crashed into her chest and sent her flying, she crashed through a door and landed on a metal gears; the machinery scratched against her armor and bounced her further into the room, she endured many attacks from the gears and machinery as she was finally ejected from the machinery room and into the Arena's Forge. The Forge had a lot of pits of hot water, roaring fires, and steam shooting out of the pipes at random points. She groaned, her perfect armor now covered in grease and small scratches on it. She shook her weary head as Andy, in pursuit, leaped over the gears she landed on and into the Forge without a scratch.
“Ready to give in?” he taunted.
“Hardly.” she responded, assuming a battle stance. “You will answer to your misgivings, one way or the other.”
Andy didn't bother drawing his sword this time, he kept to his fighting gloves and moved forward. Dealing a flurry of punches and kicks, which in mid-combo he delivered an uppercut and leaped in the air, continuing the aerial combo and finishing with performing an aerial grab throwing her like he threw the wolf at her. She crashed hard into the ground, despite this heavy beating she was not giving in, she got back on her feet and Andy, who launched a downwards kick, was caught off guard when she suddenly grabbed one of the nearby valves and spun it. A burst of hot steam blasted Andy out of the air and he crashed to the ground. As he slowly recovered Andy noticed Natalya had a slight gold glow around her.
“Answer for your crimes!” she said as her aura burst around her, she swung her warhammer and clipped Andy's chest – when that hit had stunned him Natalya then began to remove pieces of her armor. With each piece removed the aura around her grew fierce, when the last piece was removed her power was at its peak, she then began to launch into a flurry of hits with her warhammer – all her strength and speed guiding each hit with great precision and accuracy. She launched Andy into the air and dropped her hammer, she pulled out her bow and a single arrow and as Andy descended she fired a single arrow – catching him mid-fall and blasting against the wall. He fell to the ground as Natalya's burst attack Incarnum's Law ended, her armor magically returned to her as Andy was on one knee.
He wiped his mouth and smirked, in mere seconds she managed to bring Andy as tired as he was before he had his advantage. He couldn't appreciate the power anymore because she was rushing in to end this, she had grabbed Andy and was prepared to slam him to the ground when Andy had kicked her back, once there was enough space between them he grabbed one of the finished pieces of heavy chest armor and threw it at her. Stunning her long enough for Andy's own aura to flare up and build.
“It's over!” Andy roared as he ran to Natalya grabbing her, when he did his aura burst and sent her into the air. Instead of falling down though she hovered there, the world around her became a whitish hue with black tint, Andy's hair flushed white and his coat turned red. He leaped into the air and launched into thousands of aerial combos, finishing by ascending higher into the air and then bringing his sword down in a super-powered Helm Breaker, bringing her down to the ground and ending the burst attack; Duo Trigger.
Natalya stumbled a bit as she stood, the burst attack taking a lot more out of her than she thought. She tried to raise her hammer to attack but Andy had rushed in, delivering more fist combos and with a strong palm slam blasting her into one of the jets of steam, which shot her straight up a tunnel above her. She flew into the air and out of the Forge, flying back into the arena, she twisted in the air – one of the creatures from the Pen below, still in its cage, stuck its large tail out and smacked Natalya as she flew out of the tunnel sending her to the bed of spears...which would have ended nasty if Andy, who did strong wall jumps to follow her, hadn't caught her in the air and landed away from the spear bed.
He gave a sigh of relief as she looked at the unconscious Justicar in his arms, the battle was over, he was the victor. The people cheered (and booed) as Andy carried her out of the arena and to someplace she could rest.
