Shanira beamed at the mention of Alexander, ruby eyes shining like the piles of lanterns decorating the sidewalks they walked by.
"Master I meet young, barely able to walk. I am made when Master is, I meet him and grow up with him. He is my dashindt*! Almost all life, Master and me together," she rambled on about Alexander while glancing at the flower decorations along a few of the booths, then her grin turned almost mischievuously to Mark, "so...you have daughter..."
((dashindt = bestest friend in the friggin world))

Mark opened his mouth in attempt to respond to Shanira, but he was completely lost for words. He had it all planned, too, he was going to wait until the very end of the night before dropping the news...
...Now that he thought about it, maybe it was best Alexander told her. Mark could feel sweat gather on his forehead as he considered his words carefully.
"I do. Her name is Harumi," Mark found himself smiling a bit as the image of a young red-headed girl playing on the beach outside of the house appeared in his head. Despite the fact she was now nearly twenty, Harumi was always a child whenever Mark thought of her, "She's pretty remarkable... I think you'd like her."

Since Alexander had brought it up, Shanira had been curious about this daughter of Mark's. She gathered he was quite older than herself, by how much she did not know and being angels she couldn't find herself to care regardless of what her master clearly thought of it. Him being old enough to have a daughter didn't bother her, and him actually having one didn't either. She simply didn't understand why it was a bother to others.
"Remar..." she blinked, trying to remember how he pronounced the strange word but trailed off instead, giving up on it, "daughter. Is good? Has good mother? If she is like Mark, I think she is someone I like."
Shanira seemed oddly startled at first by what she'd said, catching that her words might have openly hinted at having a genuine liking for the blond man. She fidgeted uncomfortably, almost smacking herself back to the reality that she wasn't supposed to be here, she wasn't supposed to be with him, they weren't supposed to be being nice like this.
And she wasn't supposed to feel so happy by him. All this time she'd fought with herself over her ideas and feelings over him and nothing seemed to be getting better, it seemed to be getting far more confusing. Shanira didn't want that. She wanted from herself a definitive answer, and decided she was going to give herself that definitive answer.
Her grin returned, a scheme in mind.
'Do what you do best, Shanira. Play games, find out about him and test him.'
She grabbed him by the arm and pulled him suddenly to a booth on the side, suddenly stating, "Look, look!" and whipping out different hilariously-styled hats and scarves from a pile on the table. She threw a particularly poofy one on Mark's head with a large green feather and admired her choice as she took whatever few seconds she thought she'd have (she wasn't sure if he'd go for the 'new do') to giggle and say, "Nice!"

Mark stayed silent when she mentioned Harumi's mother, even after justice had been done it was still a painful subject. Although, the fear that she thought he was STILL married quickly came to him and he tried to find some way to tell her otherwise.
"She, uh... she was a great mother." He hoped she caught onto the 'was'. Before he had time to say anything else he found himself wearing a green hate with a feather as long as the entire face (including his awesome spikes).
He smiled, "I think it fits my eyes..." He looked back at the vendor and pulled out an equally large, pink hat with 'tiger stripes'. It looked absolutely ridiculous, which is why Mark put it right on Shanira's head, "There, if you live in a castle then you should have something that fits the prestige that comes with it."
Mark was having a great time. Didn't even realize that Shanira was 'testing' him.

Shanira nodded as Mark mentioned his eyes matching the hat, green and blue always looked so nice together. Seeing him pull out the pink hat and drop it on her own head made her giggle again and she reached up and fiddled with it to try to get it to sit in what she felt looked like just the right angle.
"Mine colour!" she exclaimed happily, tilting her head side to side with the hat bobbing around. That was when she stopped and gave Mark a very questionable look as she seemed to suddenly remember they were having a conversation and said, "was?" Because as much as she derped a lot on the common language of Allorum, she at least (thankfully) picked up on the past tense of what Mark was saying.

Mark couldn't help but grin at Shanira, she was so cute right now Mark fought the urge to kiss her. That feeling was quickly swept away as soon as she repeated the 'was' he had spoken.
He really didn't want to delve into details, mostly because the details were... dark and Solaris had his own part in the entire ordeal. He shifted his gaze away from Shanira and let his eyes wander into the night sky before saying, "It's... complicated."
A terrible explanation. Mark mentally slapped himself for it.

Oh, she knew that word! Complicated, she wasn't really good at saying it so she wasn't going to dare try to repeat it. She frowned though as she watched him respond, and getting no real answer from him which made her think that it was something...well, as he said, complicated. Not good.
"Bad," she blurted, head tilted to the right, "uh...mmm...I know that one, word that is. Like when Mahila say to me...uh...no..."
She wasn't doing any better, really. Her head hung for a moment, the hat rolling to fall right off her head before she suddenly shot back up, eyes wide and desperate with the goal of trying to 'smooth things out'.
"Want to play game?!"

Mark scratched the side of his head as she suggested they played a game. Mark couldn't remember the last time he played a game... unless of course she was talking about the 'game' they had 'played' on the warship...
Quickly shaking away those thoughts, Mark highly doubted that was the game she was speaking of.
"Game?" Mark finally asked.

Shanira gave an excited jump.
"Hard, but not impossible especially for someone with..." she dropped the common language for the brief moment to give him a 'come-and-get-me' grin, "...a skill set such as yours. You'll get a fantastic prize if you win, all you have to do...is catch me."
She let it sit for just a moment. Just a couple of seconds, enough to let him at least catch the words she'd said.
And then she tore off in a burst of light, through the crowd and down the main street.

As she went flying off in the distance, Mark was left speechless and frozen in his spot. He coughed awkwardly before casually taking off the big green hat and placing it back where Shanira got it.
"Um..." Mark began as the street vendor stared confusedly at how the beautiful woman vanished so fast, "I'll be back.... later."
Suddenly Mark leaped from where he was standing, using his speed to quickly step from one area to another. He wasn't nearly as fast as Shanira and probably wouldn't catch her, but dammit he wanted that prize!
He pushed himself to go faster and faster, finally managing to catch her in his view. Catching her, however, was the hard part.

Shanira bounded down the main street, her trail of destruction being an obvious clue to where she'd at least gone as lanterns, flowers, and handfuls of food flew upwards into the air as she shoved her way through. She sped northwards, straight to the city's central fountain in the middle of the large marketplace square and paused only briefly to eye her surroundings.
Through the crowds of people and the bands she barely caught sight of Mark, her grin a teasing one as she wasted no more time to sprint eastward next, down a smaller stone road that was layered with many homes, the speedy guardian lost in sight aside from her bright glow and bursts of light as she ricocheted off of walls between houses and appeared to begin leaping from rooftop to rooftop towards the outside of Lux Lucis.
She didn't look back and she didn't slow down. She intended to keep running until he figured out how to do accomplish this task, or until he decided to give up.
'Don't give up. Impress me. Come on' she couldn't help but think to herself the moment the idea even came up. She didn't want to find out that after all this time he was some wimp or something. Seeing how many different people hate him and attack him as much as they did either meant he was a real loser or he was something really impressive, afterall.

She was playing with Mark, that much was clear. If Shanira wanted, she could probably have ran around the world once before Mark even reached the end of this street.
He'd have to use some unconventional tactics. Mark jumped into the air, using his wings to fly well above Shanira to get a perfect look at the surrounding area. Focusing his sight on the buildings ahead of her, Mark swiped his hand to the side which resulted in four ropes of light springing up after her.
Mark manipulated the light magic perfectly, causing the ropes to spin and twist in attempt to catch Shanira.

Shanira leaped houses five at a time and let an overly excited giggle escape her as she dared herself to glance just a little bit, seeing the slightest bit of magical something nearing her. She picked up her speed to evade it, each of her 'footsteps' being several more house-lengths as she neared the end of the city limits and closer to the cliff that started the hill back up towards the castle.
Suddenly she dropped herself, little blur of light bouncing between houses in the streets and shooting out into the open field and towards the sea. A tall cliff was what ended her route, a serene scene with a simple tree sitting by the tall grass overlooking the night.
Shanira launched herself into the tree, kicking off of it and throwing herself like a shooting star up and over the cliff. She stayed in the air for an impressive amount of time with momentum alone, her hair spiraling around her as she put on a show of elegant twirls. She paused only then as she began her descend towards the sea, facing upwards back at the cliff only to see what he'd do next.

Mark was able to keep a good pace with her, but he seemed unable to do anything to stop her. She was so graceful in every action she took!
But... they were no longer in the city. Meaning Mark didn't have to worry about anyone around him. Mark touched down on the edge of the cliff, overlooking the sea where Shanira was falling into. To Shanira, it probably looked like he gave up...
But than she might have noticed the bright light Mark's eyes were emitting. He focused on the entire sea around her before clenching his hands into a fist as something began to form over the sea. It was like a net forming below her, but that was hardly it - a similar 'net' began forming above her and at all her sides.
Mark was trying to catch her in a giant box, which seemed pretty simple to escape if you were able to hit it with enough force. But even so, THAT wasn't even it, the walls from the box unleashed hundreds of similar ropes that sprung straight towards Shanira.
So yes, Mark had just created a box that seemed to go for miles, with the ability to shoot hundreds and hundreds of ropes that aimed at halting the Guardian.
He seemed to have fun at taking his Solaris powers out for a 'test' run. It had been awhile sense he had been able to use those powers in a more 'flashy' way.

Had Shanira landed in this box her first plan very much would have been to use the walls to kick herself through it and probably launch herself back to land. Yet as she came closer she blinked at the sight of hundreds of these funny ropes reaching out at her from the very place she needed to continue on.
"Ha!" she laughed, quickly drawing her sword with the new strategy of slicing her way through everything, forcing herself through the walls that were closing on her towards that funny rock sitting in the ocean and throwing herself back onto the beach! Genius, she had a plan for everything!
Or at least that was her strategy, having underestimated this clever trap that Mark had created for her that even as she took the first swing as swift as she was her arms were already caught and she found herself unable to free herself from them.
"....Well damn," she muttered in her native tongue, unable to stay aggravated for very long as she let out a laugh and shouted, "Hey!" the whole time she still attempted to struggle her way out.
