Mahila gave Mark a highly disdainful look as he seemed to zone out momentarily, seeing him clearly putting together something magical in attack and the way it took form triggered something uncomfortable in her though she failed to understand what it was. Her lip twisted and an eyebrow raised at him as another explosive arrow materialized in her hand but she made no move to fire it as Shanira yelled up at her.
Mahila's suspicious glower failed to cease as she spat down at the two golden-haired angels, "Oh really?!" before leaping from the tower and to the street in front of the group, leaving herself several feet's worth of distance between them so she could get a better look at them but leave her some space.
"You. Silence," she commanded Kyoki (ha) and then turned to Mark, "who are you and what are you doing with her?! Because I saw you grab her!"
Her bow she loaded again, pointing it towards them as she finished her questions quickly with a very stern, "I never miss. Talk."

"It just so happens, that I usually never miss either."
A deep voice rumbled from behind Mahlia, and no doubt she could feel the sudden warmth near the back of her neck. Somehow, Kyoki had managed to find himself behind the Angel, a ball of white flame held casually in the palm of his hand, mere inches away from her neck. The wire-mesh covering his eyes was letting off the dullest glow possible without it being completely un-noticeable. His entire attitude and posture had changed, he carried himself with a sense of authority and released an air of danger.
"So perhaps you should talk first."

There was a reason why Mark trusted Kyoki to get the job done, and if Mark didn't do anything about this situation then they were about to witness just why that is.
"Kyoki!" He yelled out, trying to defuse the situation quickly. Might as well tell the truth, "I work for no one and I know Shanira! She's a... really, really good friend!"
None of it was lies, Mark didn't work for anyone. He WAS the person people worked for.
"We're all allies here, people." He finally said.

Mahila felt the hot threat of Kyoki's attack behind her, her expression however unchanging as she took a slow, steady breath and kept her eyes on Mark and Shanira ahead of her. In seconds, the arrow head loaded in her bow glowed a soft purple again but she appeared to be hesitating firing it ahead at the two blonde angels.
She stared ahead, momentarily past Mark's shoulder and eyes meeting for the first time in what felt like ages, both sets stern and as per usual opposing each other in some way or another.
"Mahila..." she heard the young blonde girl speak, a tone of one who knew Mahila a little too well and seemed to be giving her a warning.
She lowered the bow so the arrow pointed between her feet, still ready but not pointed at anyone in particular anymore. She smirked.
"I am Mahila, guardian of the late Bradley Frexton of Santo-Luce, Shanira's predecessor and guide, and grand archer for Felios," she announced simply, releasing the arrow between her feet which disappeared in a purple spark into the stone road...
And reappeared above Kyoki's head, zipping downward to nick his side. The moment Mahila let go she ducked, swung behind her and violently bashed her bow into Kyoki's side before swinging upwards as she too came up to clock him as hard as she could in his...mask. The angel speedily flipped over to the side, her attempts to create space between her and the powerful archangel desperate.
"You work for no one but what of this one?!" she referred to Kyoki, being as close as she had been to him easily recognized the Solaris symbols on him.

"..!"
Everything seemed to slow down for the apparently-demented Archangel as he felt, rather than saw something moving above his head. His actions would need to be swift as well as demanding if he were to truly achieve that effect that he was hoping for. As Mahila's bow came crashing towards his side, he quickly tucked his elbow into his ribs, to take the brunt of the blow, the limbs of the bow seemingly just bouncing off of his arm, whilst he other arm moved in an arc above his head... And then he was gone again.
As Mahila tried to place distance between the pair of them, she bumped into his chest. He had somehow managed to get behind her once more... Only this time, he had a purple arrow held in his hand.
"Hmph." He muttered, pointing forwards with the arrow, to a hovering ball of white fire which was positioned exactly where Mahila's head had been only moments before. "It appears that both of our records have been tarnished. I am an Archangel, in service to those whom I would need serve. I once served Solaris. Hence my mask."

"Solaris's empire has been over," Mark added, "Kyoki is just what remains of it. He's no threat to your god..."
This entire situation was tense, but Mark wouldn't allow her to attack again. If she attacked any of them, Mark would make his move to end this.

Colliding into Kyoki as unexpectedly as she had, Mahila on instinct reacted by elbowing him hard before taking another swift swing with her bow at him effectively trying to bounce off of him and further force distance between the two of them. As long as he made no effort to invade her space, she refrained from readying another arrow--seemed simple enough, at least until she got some answers, and she barely hesitated as she addressed them each.
"Oh, well done," she scoffed, eyeing her own arrow in Kyoki's hand before gesturing to Shanira, "that one can do that cute magic trick, too. Is that you trying to scare me?"
"Who are you?" she further demanded, glancing first at Mark and then narrowing her eyes at Shanira, "and you have some talking to do yourself."

"Mark Fri," he answered simply, "An Archangel." Mark narrowed his eyes at Mahila, "And I accept your deepest apology for opening fire on us."
This date had gone to hell in so many ways and Mark had just about had enough. He sat down on the nearest bench and shook his head, "Now, why are you here?" He questioned Mahila.
He had given plenty of answers. It was time for her to do the same.

Mahila smirked at Mark, even after he brought it up she made no effort to apologize for something she felt she was entirely in the right to do. Â She still carried her bow in her hand, though she made no other effort to reload it as she at least peacefully answered his questions.
"Well, Mark Fri the Archangel," she started, a strong dash of patronizing in her tone, "I am on Allorum for Felios, I have business to take care of. Â Why I am here specifically?"
Her head tilted slightly, eyes drifting over to Shanira and locking on the girl with a cold stare.
"I was here in the area when she ran by. I know her movements. She is to be with her king, protecting him. So when I see her run masterless through the city with a pursuer on her trail...well, I have to act. Her actions with those other than her own master are something to be investigated."

"Mine master is fine, he is no worry for you," Shanira responded automatically trying to justify her absence from the castle, "I am the fastest."
She stared at her elder sister-like comrade with a look that was not only sceptical herself but hinted with concern, her sword she resheathed with a frown.
She looked into Mahila's eyes as she said in their native tongue, " Mahila. You've been missing and presumed dead for nearly two years. I've done this alone all this time, do you seriously think even now I'd let myself fall into such trouble? that I'd be kidnapped or killed or something? "

Mahila examined the younger angel before her for a very long time. She was the one she watched grow up, always looking out for her and trying to season her into the 'perfect' warrior Felios made her to be. She'd seen many changes the blonde girl had gone through, and even witnessed many an event where Shanira had performed far beyond expectations and surprised her, even made her feel proud at points.
She still answered with an indignant, "Yes. ."

"Wait what--seriously?!"
Shanira wasn't sure what struck her nerves quite more than the other, Mahila's utter lack of faith in the girl she'd basically abandoned to deal with all her mess or how short Mahila's answer was, let alone how she failed to hesitate delivering it. It didn't sit well with her no matter what it was, clearly seen as she threw her fists down to her sides and raised her voice a notch.
"You bail on me for almost two years and having barely seen me that's what you have to say about my competence?! Where do you even get that?!"

Mark cringed as Mahila spoke that three letter word which he knew would infuriate Shanira. Mark has never heard someone speak as proudly about any job than Shanira has, and for the sake of his life he made sure never to question her actions!
Mark quickly put himself between the two ladies and tried his best to keep this from becoming a blood bath.
"So now that we're all friends here, why don't we ALL calm down?" Mark laughed nervously, hoping to get Shanira's mind off the subject, "Okay!?"
His voice seemed to be drowned out by Shanira's response. Things seemed to quickly be going to hell, so Mark took one careful step back and braced for whatever was coming next.

Mahila laughed at both of them, Mark who put himself in between them and Shanira who went straight to yelling at her over the man's shoulders.
"Let's see, where do we start with this one? Oh! How about Prince Alexander's great idea of running away from his home, the place surrounded by guards, and Shanira the brilliant one she is decides to join him rather than take the initiative as his guardian to take him back home safely where he belongs," she narrowed her eyes at the girl as she spoke, "which we remember very well, don't we, darling? Oh yes, it's a grand idea to wander off! Surely nothing could possibly go wrong until the prince is in danger and Shanira's far too weak to save him. Surely she thought of every variable! That's why I've always been there, because when Shanira fails Mahila does not. When Shanira is in danger, Mahila is the hero. When Mahila isn't there, Shanira apparently physically brings herself to Allorum and starts frolicking with archangels, one of them associated with Solaris. And as per usual, shirking off her responsibilities."
She shrugged then, smirking as she ended it with, "Gee. I wonder where I get these ideas from, indeed."

"I haven't shirked off anything! Nothing is faster than I am!" Shanira shouted, letting Mahila's prodding get to her as easily as the older angel had expected.
"I didn't come to Allorum to frolic with anyone! I came because I'm stronger this way! You're just cranky because you failed at protecting your master, that I thought of doing this first!" she blinked then, looking as though she'd just had a great revelation before she marched past Mark to face Mahila, "why are you even bringing up things that happened like, three years ago anyway?! Is that's all that's fresh on your mind after you disappeared on me?!"
