Hey guys,
So let me just address the proverbial elephant in the room right now. This is my compiled take on the Gods, afterlife and creation myth of our RP game as dictated by what people have contributed to me, trying as best I can to adhere to canon so far established on the site. People may or may not agree with what I have so far, but, and I stress this as hard as I can, THAT'S WHY THIS IS A 1st DRAFT.
With that being said, let me just make two points on this before I at last get to the point of this post.
1. As far as I'm concerned, this is a final draft FOR ME. Meaning, that if no one comes to me with any desired changes, this will remain as it is written and will basically be canon. I think it does a good job explaining most of the happenings while leaving things relatively open in case people wish to take liberties with details. The reason this is dubbed a 1st draft is specifically because I'm more than willing to make changes to it based on what the rest of the players here ask. After all, this is our site, and we've all had a hand in shaping things up to this point. This leads to my 2nd point.
2. Do not come to me simply telling me that what I have here is incorrect or not right. I'm more than happy to take suggested changes given to me, but unless you have an actual suggestion to offer in exchange for what is on here, don't bother. I'm not trying to be a dick about this, but at this point I'm only interested in being productive and moving forward on this. Likewise I'm not coming to you guys to get anymore info or ask you if things are okay. If you have a problem or suggestion about it then I ask you come to me, either on Skype or PM the Other. I'll be happy to talk about it more and take proposed revisions from any players there.
So without further ado, the CR Theology v1.0.
ETIOLOGY(Creation Myth)[/u]
In the beginning there was only the All God. From him came the universe and all that it contained. Having made the mortal realm, he created the lands that would be home to those that watched over his creations, and called it Heaven. He then gave birth to the Gods, beings that would watch over the mortals of his realm, and the Titans, which would watch over the physical world and all the elements. Lastly he made unto each world the lands of judgment, realms where the immortal spark of man would reside after they had passed on. For a time all was good, yet such peace did not last.
Unable to understand the purpose of mortal creatures the Titans demanded answers from the All God, and when they were rejected, decided that the mortals were a corruption on the land of elements and tried to destroy them. The Gods, understanding the purpose of mortals opposed the Titans’ wishes and from this a divine war was waged. After a long and arduous war, the Titans were defeated, and from them the Gods took charge of the elements and the material world, banishing the Titans from their duties and Heaven itself.
Yet resigned to being only overseers to the universe the Gods could only watch as the mortals slowly undid their existence until all life destroyed itself. Saddened by this the Gods thought they could keep the mortals prosperous if they were allowed to interfere, and begging for a second chance the All-God granted the Universe another chance, this time allowing the Gods to act upon the worlds. With a second chance, the Gods have since played a more predominant role in the realms of man, sometimes descending down to Earth and Allorum to directly interfere with them. However as time passed the All-God saw that the Gods began to twist and pervert the actions of mortals to their own designs, and after a catastrophe that nearly destroyed the mortals on both worlds he sealed the Gods’ abilities to directly act in the mortal realm. Still, fearful of the inevitable self-destruction that mortals were capable of, he allowed the Gods to bequeath some of their power to mortal souls, making them angels. These angels have since acted as envoys, warriors and miracle workers of the Gods.
GODS
Former Gods:
FYI, for those who don't grasp the alignment system, please take a look at this.
Or, should that be tl;dr for you, this ought to suffice.
AFTERLIFE
All who die on Allorum are judged by Gavde. Those who lived virtuous lives of exceptional merit may rise to Heaven to be taken on as an angel or to live a life of peace within the Aether Plains. People who lived pathetic or useless lives are sent to drift within the realm of Guasto till their spirit erodes and joins with the material plane. All other souls are sent to Hellious, eternally dwelling in one of the many levels suited to the soul’s crimes.
Earth on the other hand has a similar yet distinct afterlife from Allorum. The Gods spend little of their attention or resources on the vastly more civilized planet, delegating most of their duties and decisions to their angels. Those that die on Earth are judged by a council of all the God’s angels, where a less clear-cut fate awaits them. Instead of merely casting absolute judgment upon those that pass on, the angels test mortals with games, challenges and sometimes multiple life cycles to see if they are worthy before sending them to Paradise or Inferno. Given both a lower influence of the Gods and strict divine rules that restrict the noticeable presence of immortal beings, angels and demons often conduct bets, wagers, and political plays on souls in secret, looking to sculpt the world to their vision and ideals all the while keeping to the rules, lest they be stripped of their immortality by the Gods themselves for their transgressions.
RULES/MISC DATA
-While angels serve many purposes to both the Gods, the worlds and man, Archangels are the chosen warriors of the Gods, designed and trained to be powerful combatants that each God may call upon. This is the only distinction between an angel and an archangel.
-While mortals on Allorum can freely interact with the divine and infernal beings, rules prohibit the open acts of such beings on Earth.
-Any gods that die are completely capable of being resurrected by the All-God after some time, and only remain dead at the behest of the All-God himself.
-Angels of any kind that die have their souls at last sent to the Aether Plains, often given great honors there for their service. The power of the god that was used to transform the soul to an angel is then frozen in an artifact called a “relic” until it can be returned to the god. As such angels that have fallen on Earth or Allorum usually have their relics lost until they can be reclaimed by angels, leaving many of the gods weaker than they were long ago.
-While demons are usually born of the twisted inhabitants of Inferno and Hellious that lose themselves to the lands of judgment, archdemons are powerful masters of Inferno and Hellious that are said to be created by the All-God himself. Demons that die are lost forever, their tainted power returning to the realms. Archdemons are however shrouded in mystery, and may either fall to a similar fate as angels when they die or may be resurrected at will by the All-God himself.
-While knowledge of the Gods is well documented and generally accepted by most people of Allorum, the All-God is generally seen as more of a legend or a myth. This is likely due to his absolute refusal to directly intervene on his creations, no matter what. As such there are at most only fringe groups that would worship the All-God at all.

So, there you go. Feel free to comment on this openly as you see fit, and like I said, either contact me with suggestions, additions, etc. either on Skype or via PM if you should wish.
